I had Greg, the owner, call me and apologize for a delay in a returned phone call. Its nice to actually hear from the actual owner these days. He was very nice and scheduled an appointment to my convinience. His business sounds very caring and professional.

This company is awesome. I called at 11 am on a Monday when my AC wasn’t blowing cold air. Chad was at my house by early afternoon. He spent over an hour checking my exterior and interior units, then finally traced the problem to my thermostat, which he promptly fixed. The cost was extremely reasonable for such fast, efficient service. I highly recommend this company!

These guys are great. Called them at 9am this morning with AC trouble. I know they are slammed with calls with this heat wave. Greg answered and made arrangements to be here by 12:30 and had me up and running within an hour. He and his co-​worker were honest and professional which is a lot more than I can say about the fleet of guys in the Orange and Blue Vans running around the VC. If you want someone you can trust and not worry about getting taken advantage of… Call Gold Coast! They are the real deal! After a small gas explosion, I called desperate for service on my 39 year old furnace this morning. They came right out to assess the situation. It turned out that I needed a new unit which was installed by the middle of the afternoon. Same day! I am really happy because my tenant is a senior citizen and I did not want her to go without heat. The owner was very professional and I am as happy with the price as with the service.

On the first cold morning of this year I work to find my heater not working. It was Sunday and I called Gold Coast based on Unilocal reviews. I got a message machine and left a message. Within the hour I had a text from the owner asking if having a Tech arrive in the following morning would work for me. He made sure we had someone the next morning by 9 AM. The tech was great identified the problem quickly and we had a working heater by 10. Timely, effective and friendly. I’ll use this company again.

Greg is honest, straightforward and knows his stuff. I called him on Labor Day solely based on his Unilocal review –plus the fact that he was one of the only 2 guys I could find willing to come out on short notice to fix our weak AC. He showed up at my door in less than a half hour and quickly diagnosed the problem. He gave me the option of fixing it himself (he’d need to go pick up a part) or if I wanted to save a few bucks I could go to the hardware store and fix it myself. Very cool. He showed me what to do and was on his way. If all that weren’t enough, as a courtesy he charged me a «non holiday» minimum rate just because it was such a simple fix. That might have earned him 4 stars, but then I got the follow up call that evening just to make sure we took care of the problem. We did, and Greg is now our new AC guy.

I called Gold Coast after 630pm on a Wednesday night and the owner Greg called me back shortly and was able to schedule me the next morning for a site visit. Greg showed up on time, was very professional and easily diagnosed the problem. Replaced the part within an hour!
Extremely professional and provided honest service without a huge price tag. I highly recommend and would use again.

I called these guys at 5:00 on a Saturday thinking an appointment on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
Greg gave me some things to check before coming out and decided it was best to take a look. I was blown away Greg was very nice and here in 15 minutes.
These guys are real pros and had my AC working in about 20 minutes. Now the house is nice and cool.

The A/​C in our new-​to-​us home had not been turned on since we bought it. A friend recommended Gold Coast Temp Control, I called and Greg was out within a couple hours. He messed with the thermostat, inspected our antique A/​C unit and ancient furnace, and got the thing running. He charged only the (cheap!) service call fee! He advised that both units were old and tired but not in need of replacement just yet, wait till they die. He then noticed how inefficient our blower was and (after learning that we are not at all «handy») proceeded to tape up the gaps on the unit on his way out so we could avoid another appointment /​service call!
Greg easily could have made unnecessary repairs or told us any repairs to our old system were a waste and just buy a whole new syst, but he was honest, friendly, and very professional.

I had an appointment with (what I thought was a reputable company) on Saturday, March 22, 2014 to come out to clean my vents. After checking my ducts in the attic (and telling me there was too much duct tape), they immediately told me that my ducts needed replacing to the tune of about $ 4,000. When I balked at that, they gave me a senior discount and a store discount and got the price down to about $ 2,700. I still told them I would have to do that a later date. They wanted to measure the ducts that day and do the work on Sunday. I told them no way — I had too much to this weekend and would contact them later. Big red flag that it took so much conversation to get them out of my house. I later looked on line for a second opinion. Luckily, one of the company’s recommended was Gold Coast Temp Control. The owner, Greg Weilbacher, called me almost immediately and was willing to come out to take a look on Sunday. He was on time and very pleasant. He told me there was nothing wrong with my ducts and they did not need replacing. He also said that the duct tape was normal and the only reason to replace ducts would be if I had rodents that had bitten through the ducts or if a dove had somehow gotten in the ducts. The air flow is fine. I am so grateful for his honesty and expertise (which by the way he did not charge me for). Should I ever have a problem with my air conditioning, I will call Gold Coast Temp Control.

Am a Pac Air «elite» costumer here. Our central heating in our house was not working. Pac Air Technician stated we needed A new gas regulator for $ 599. Suggested it might be prudent to replace whole furnace. Called Gold Coast, Greg the Technician came the same day and fixed on the spot. The gas regulator was fine, the wires leading to it were bad. Paid only $ 170 and he was in and out within 30 minutes. Will be using Gold Coast for any future furnace needs! Highly recommend!

i contacted gold coast for a 2^nd opinion and 2^nd estimate for replacing the ductwork in my attic. i was told by another company that has serviced my system for almost 6 years that this work needed to be done because the «ductwork is undersized» and needed to be replaced in order to «prolong the life of the system.» their estimated price was $ 2,875. the work needed to be done by the end of the year so i could avoid a 20% price increase.
at any rate, i made an appointment and the owner of gold coast (greg weilbacher), personally visited my home and inspected my system. he was prompt, professional and personable. also, and most importantly, greg is honest and candid. he told me that my system was fine and that the ductwork did not need to be replaced or repaired. i was not charged for the service call. based on my positive experience, i highly recommend this company. certainly i will be a customer of gold coast in the future. check out the website (
