We provide heating and cooling service (i.e. heater repair and AC repair), maintenance and installation to both residential and commercial customers. We work on all makes & models of HVAC equipment (i.e Furnace /​Heater and Condenser /​Air Conditioner) and provide Duct Cleaning & Dryer Vent Cleaning for our residential and commercial clients. Owned by Kevin & Stephanie Allen, lifelong residents of Ventura County, AirWorks was founded on customer service, honesty, quality work and fair pricing. AirWorks’ business model is based on service not sales. The significance to you? Our background checked employees are not compensated for selling anything; their job is to provide you with excellent service. Family owned and operated, we strive to build lifelong relationships with our customers.

We love working with Commercial and Residential Property Managers and private owners with rentals. We will coordinate the service directly with the tenant if you’d like but only report information to you if you prefer.

History

Established in 2010.

The owner, Kevin, has over 12 years of experience in the HVAC field. Kevin and his wife, Stephanie, built AirWorks’ business model on service not sales. The significance to you? AirWorks’ background checked employees are not compensated for selling anything; their job is to provide you with excellent service. We hire the finest Residential and Commercial HVAC Technicians in the industry and let them do what they do best; service and install heating and cooling equipment. Family owned and operated, we strive to build lifelong relationships with our customers.

Kevin has built AirWorks on the foundation of high value, honest business practices, and reputable ethics and strives to build lifelong relationships with his customers.

It’s not just his character that’s impressive. Kevin’s experience speaks volumes as well. An advocate of learning, Kevin keeps up with the changes in the industry by attending classes and reading trade magazines and incentivizes his employees to do the same.

AirWorks has an incredible field crew as well as office staff. In addition to providing us a very fair price for the work that was done, Kevin, Jorge, and the Crew were exceptional from beginning to end. The attention to detail and the care and concern shown during the installation were second to none. Also, Kevin was the one who came out to give the initial estimate. it was not a salesperson… it was a contractor! This made a big difference to me as a consumer.
AirWorks came highly recommended, and it turn I highly recommend them.

Its been a year since the initial work was done but then there was permitting and a few tweaks of things so I’m glad I waited to review. I’ve dealt with quite a few people either in person or on the phone and I’ve always had a great experience. Kevin did the quote and he really seemed like a knowledgeable and trustworthy guy. We were doing a new ac/​furnace and ducting which was around $ 9k so I definitely wanted someone trustworthy and knowledgeable! They also offered financing through Wells Fargo which was super helpful. The install techs were all really great also and super polite. The people I have spoken to on the phone in the office were always professional. The helped set up the HERS and permitting pieces of the project. They were always professional and always attentive.

We had Airworks do preventative maintenance on our furnace today. We were very pleased with the service performed by Roland. We had not yet turned our heater on this year. There was a fault code that came up. Apparently the tube that drains the condensation may have been partially plugged. Roland even went up on the roof to make sure that the cap on the furnace vent was not loose. And we thought their charge was very reasonable for the amount of time Roland spent. If I have to call a Heating and Air Conditioning company, it will be Airworks.

I had Air Conditioning installed to my existing furnace in Camarillo. These are the only people that I will be calling in the future for my heating and cooling issues.
My install wasn’t turn-​key. I had equipment issues for quite a while, but I never once felt like I was on my own. Someone ALWAYS came out and they kept troubleshooting the problem until it was finally fixed, at no cost to me. The install was flawless, turns out the problem was a faulty component straight from the manufacturer. Any business can seem like rock stars when things go well, but when things don’t go according to the plan it reveals true character. I know with Kevin and his guys, even if things don’t go well and/​or equipment breaks, they are going to make it right and take care of me.

Of course on the hottest day on record in Camarillo our AC unit decided to stop working. I called AirWorks after reading their reviews here on Unilocal and set up a time for Kevin to stop by and have a look at the problem. I was under the impression this was going to be a costly expense. Kevin fixed our AC unit in a timely manner and even took the extra step to tighten all the nuts and wires around the unit. After he got the AC back to working condition I was pleasantly surprised by the price tag for Kevin’s work but more importantly super impressed by his professionalism, knowledge and honesty. He not only diagnosed and fixed the problem, but he didn’t try to up-​sell me on any additional services or unneeded maintenance. His goal was to fix the issue and keep our AC unit in good working order. Great service. I will definitely use AirWorks again (if needed) and I will definitely pass along their information to anyone that is in need of HVAC services.

Just called this place to get a quote for service since my AC seems to be blowing hot air now… Wasn’t expecting it to be over $ 120 for a representative to come out and let me know what’s wrong without fixing anything. At least that’s how person on other line answered. Person on the phone was helpful in a very minor way. Took 7 rings to answer the line. Generally answered questions with yes or no answers. Wasn’t very helpful but still gave them 3⁄5 cause I’m nice like that.
As a business owner myself, I expect courteousness and to be helpful on the other line especially if the possible customer doesn’t know how to explain the exact problem. Ask open-​ended questions to get them to explain the problem further… When it started… What the machine is doing etc.

Baby, it’s cold inside.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could call up a company, describe your problem, get a quote, have someone answer your questions, and then they’d do the work with dedication and competence just as you agreed. It’s not a dream, it’s just the way Airworks does business.
At every step of the way and with each employee I was treated with friendly professionalism and thoroughness. I needed asbestos abatement, new ducting and a new HVAC system to update my condo’s unit which dated back to the seventies. The price was great compared to the other quotes I received, the process was easy, and I’m thrilled with my new AC.
When the abatement company (subcontracted by Airworks) showed up to remove my ductwork, they accidentally also took out some of the venting from my neighbor’s attached unit. My neighbors showed up at my door that evening worried. No problem. The next morning, Airworks completed not only my job but replaced the ducting which had be inadvertently removed from my neighbor’s attic. No arguments and no stalling. It was amazing!
Now I know that if problems or questions come up, Airworks’ staff will be there to help me. I’m looking forward to regular maintenance with their company and I strongly recommend them.

Airworks recently replaced our entire HVAC system, which was over 36 years old and original, including duct work. They had to replace EVERYTHING, including the condenser lines and get everything up to code. We had a GREAT experience. From scheduling an initial inspection to the finished work everything went very smoothly. They are very easy to get a hold of when you have questions. They showed up on time and finished the project in the time they stated which seems to never happen with any construction. They were clean and left no trace. I highly recommend them for any HVAC needs. Kelly in the office is extremely helpful and very friendly. She worked with us to get the price we needed to fit our budget!

We had an A/​C unit that was 21 years old and completed rusted out. We called them, they identified the problem, replaced our old unit, and now our house is cool again. We have used Airworks for several projects, i.e., new thermostat and circuit board for the furnace. They are always professional. I highly recommend.

I was in an emergency situation and after 3 calls to other heating and air companies, AirWorks was the only one available to come out today. They were so accommodating and easy to work with. They worked their schedule to fit me in and called to tell me exactly when the technician Kevin would arrive. He was so professional. He knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. They had to replace a # of different parts and had everything available on their truck. Their parts were less than Home Depot. I can’t say enough excellent things about this company. I will treasure their business card!

They came out to clean our air filter and we ended up getting a brand new heater & ducting due to asbestos. They probably saved our lives by pointing it out. Kevin, YOU have done well young man! You did some work on our AC — heating unit and got it working. YOU explained all that I was facing in the future though it was an old unit. You told me it still had some life in it and you were right. Still plugging along and when it dies, you will be the one who replaces it.

Wow. I put in a new thermostat after the old one was broken off by our kid. It was a simple heat-​only (2 wire) mechanical thermostat. But it did not work after I installed it. I had no idea why, so I called AirWorks to solve the problem. The problem was very simple, there was a tiny cardboard cover that had to be removed (something the instructions failed to talk about) to expose some contacts. Kevin pulled off the cover and it worked fine. Their deal is an hour charge to check things out. But since it was so simple, he did NOT even charge me. What a great way to treat me! They have a customer for life. Thanks Kevin.

I just have to say this company is as good as it gets. I am amazed at the level of service these guys give. If you’re looking for an honest, fair heating and air company you found it.
In the middle of our last heat wave our AC was making the most un godly noises. I have two small children so before it stopped blowing cold air I want it to get serviced. They fit us in their schedule and they were prompt and timely. It took Kevin about two minutes to pull out some paper that got sucked into the return. Problem fixed. I tried to pay the man but to no avail. He should have been wearing a cape. I know who I am going to call for any type of service needs I might have.
