Dr. Wong is so wonderful to both me and my mom. She offers diet, lifestyle advice and how to help save vision with supplement, sunglasses ect. She also has the most current eye exam tools that most eye docs dont digital and accurate. She noticed i was getting cataracts which no one had ever seen before. Also Faruch for glasses and contacts fitting is such a doll and so helpful. I highly reccomend !

In December, 2015, I used my employer vision insurance to have an eye exam and computer progressive glasses made. Unfortunately, the glasses were completely misaligned and I had to have them redone. That office still does every measurement manually, and I knew that even though LC doesn’t take my employer’s specific insurance, they have never, EVER, screwed up a pair of glasses for me.
Since my usual LC store shut down (Century City), I decided to pop in to this Burbank shop by my office. I had a pair of sunglasses that needed to be adjusted due to being sort of stretched out. The gentleman that greeted me right when I walked in asked no questions about my frames and took them to see if he could fix them for me. While that was going on, I also asked about getting an eye exam without an appointment. As luck would have it, Dr. Wong could take me straight away.
The pre-​exam was done by a new person who was in training mode and being chaperoned, so I understood the hiccups of learning a new job and didn’t get all wigged out that everything wasn’t perfect. Then I went in to see Dr. Wong and she checked the pre-​exam results, did the whole «which is better? one, or two? two, or one?». You know what I’m talking about. She asked me to explain why I was coming in so soon after getting an exam elsewhere, and I was honest about it.
I have to say, I had a GREAT conversation regarding eye health and health in general with Dr. Wong. I have several health challenges, and she gave me some fantastic information and explained it in a way that made a lot more sense than other sources have. I really enjoyed her personality and would have no hesitation in referring others to her.
Because I decided to drop my vision plan for 2016 (LC didn’t take it, anyway), and I didn’t have my AAA card with me, I paid $ 75.00 for the exam (without dilation). Considering my cost for vision insurance hovered around $ 175.00 per year, and I still had co-​pays for exams, lenses, and frames only every-​other year, I don’t think I’m getting such a bad deal here. I’ve decided I’m going to wait until LC has another sale before I order a new pair of glasses. Hopefully, by then I’ll find my AAA card.

I am trying Lencrafter because my previous provider takes so long to get my glasses back. I thought I could do better with them.
Dr. Roth is really nice and I like her. She suggested progressive lenses for computer glasses. I do a lot of computer work so moving my head in the small area that I could see was impossible. I could see close by but not on the computer which was the original purpose for the glasses. So I need single instead and need the prescription adjusted for the distance from me and my computer. I believe she needed to have accessed my situation to give a more appropriate prescription. I have not ever had a doctor suggest progressive lenses on computer glasses. The regular glasses had suggestions that did not make sense either. I would not recommend this doctor and will not return. She wanted me to have my eye diliated or another method that my insurance did not cover at $ 39. I opted out and she referred my a specialist because there seemed to be a nerve issue. I will wait till I have another exam with another doctor because it just seems like she does not know she is doing. She sort of lost credibility with me with the prescription.
The staff is good and Ashra tried her best to help. The cost with my insurance was $ 267.96 and my last provider it was much less. I originally thought Lencrafter does it in one hour, but prescription had high index which required them to send it out to another vendor which takes two week. So it will take two weeks which not faster than my previous provider.
I am waiting for the regular glasses to come in and have to see the doctor for the computer glasses to get a new prescription. I would not go back to this place after this, and hope I can get these issues resolved so I can see with those glasses.
They charge too much with insurance and without it is extremely expensive, the time is no different than my other provider in my case, and it seems like the prescription was off. What other doctors had suggested were not included in her prescription.
I hope is helpful to others to prevent experiencing the same kind of experience. Mark

2÷15÷16 So much has happened since I originally posted.
I forgot to mention the detailed receipt and overall one showed one number and the another $ 10 difference. They could not figure it out. I wish there was a 0 star rating.
Pricing:
Costco: $ 129 for computer glasses with old frames
Old Provider in 2014: $ 109 for the same glassses except they include the item where the color of the lenses changes to darker.
Lenscrafter: $ 268 with same set up as previous provider except they did not include the lenses that changed colors.
I wanted the that option to lenses changed colors but I did not specify and assumed it would included so that is my fault.
I have the prescription for the computer glasses redone by Dr. Wong because I could not use them for work. the prescription needed to be stronger due to the distance I am from the monitor. I keep going back to them and given the run around, Costco Optical had told me what to tell them to do so they finally did it. When I received the prescription the doctor said oh wait a minute. She then had to reprint the prescription because whatever she gave me was not correct. I am glad she checked otherwise I would have to go back get it fixed again,
On my regular glasses, I still have not gotten the glasses to work. I will keep on going to get it adjusted. One person said he thought the line was too high and compared to my old glasses, another person recently said oh it is not the line, but the glasses need to be adjusted. I keep trying to compare my old glasses that work to what they have given me, and hopefully we can get them to work.
I still stand on the 0 rating, and will change providers as soon as I get this handled. I will keep going in for the unlimited adjustments until it works. This is my experience, and I hope is not the experience of others. I have not has such a difficult time with previous providers. I will not give up until I get the glasses to work.

This one star review is only for Dr. Willa Wong.
I was having problems with my right eye, I was seeing flashes and floaters in my visual field. I went there twice to address this problem. The first time, they did all the tests and Dr. Wong assured me everything was fine. I went back this past weekend to complain that it had gotten worse and I was seeing more floaters and flashes. I was asked if I wanted a picture of my eye or have my eyes dilated. They explained that the picture was more accurate than the dilating and had no side effects, like blurry vision for the rest of the day. I opted for the picture.
Dr. Wong looked at the picture and told me again that EVERYTHING WAS FINE. She said that it was stress related and that my brain would adjust and I probably wouldn’t see them anymore eventually. She specifically said that there were no tears in my retina.
I decided to get another opinion. I went to an Opthamologist who immediately diagnosed a tear in my retina, Posterior Vitreous Detachment, and a small hemorrhage in that eye. I was rushed into immediate laser surgery to correct it.
The Ophthalmologist said that I had I followed Dr. Wong’s advice I would have eventually lost my vision in that eye. (As a side note, the Opthamologist did dilate my eyes and did not use the machine that takes a picture.)
The Ophthalmologist said that it was «COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE OF DR. WONG TO NOT RECOMMEND SEEING AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST IMMEDIATELY AS SHE WAS CLEARLY NOT QUALIFIED TO MAKE THAT DIAGNOSIS.»
LensCrafters is a great place if you need help picking out glasses. The front end people are wonderful and helpful and knowledgeable, and the store manager Arsha is terrific, I would give Arsha 10 Stars if I could.
Bottom line, go there for new glasses. But, trust your eye health to someone who knows what they are doing… which is not Dr. Wong.

Had a very pleasant experience here. Needed new glasses as I had stepped on my other ones the night prior. I was greeted right away and asked if I had any questions or needed help.
I picked out the glasses I wanted and they were ready a little over an hour later. I was in and out with new glassesin a very short amount of time.
Great experience.

I was a walk-​in a few weeks ago for a new glasses prescription. Got checked in, filled out my info, examined for the basics, then went in to see the doctor. Simple and no-​nonsense; I browsed frames intermittently while I waited. The staff was pleasant, quick & professional. Dr. Roth is wonderful. Been back for several free follow-​ups and it’s been a pleasure every time. =)

Dr. Wong is the best! Been seeing her here for years and she has always been very attentive and spot on regarding my eye care needs. Busy place and the staff do their best to make sure everyone is taken care of. I look forward to checking out the selection of glasses and walking out with some fun choices. Usually same day service. Love that and plenty of parking.

I’ve been going to this LensCrafters store for many years, even before it was bought out by it’s current owner that sent prices up. And, I guess, quality went down.
It was a few days before Christmas, and I needed distance glasses urgently so I could drive to my brother’s for the holiday, and drive back home that night. I wasn’t used to the contact lenses I’d recently started using, and couldn’t wear them for more than a few hours at a time. I rushed to LensCrafters because they could do everything while I waited, and bought my frames here with my prescription from my opthamologist. The cost was about $ 400, with a AAA discount. Yikes. That seemed like a lot for single vision distance glasses.
The glasses didn’t work well, either, and I wasn’t able to drive safely at night with them. What a freaky/​scary drive down that dark, dark freeway late at night on my return home, where it felt like I was driving blindly into a dark tunnel!!! Shattered, I arrived home without an accident, after making everyone around me crazy because I had to drive at 40 mph!
I took the glasses to my eye doctors office to have them checked. The optometrist there told me that in only one tiny spot was the lens correct for my prescription, and all the other areas were off. Great. So unless I looked through that one little tiny area, if I turn my head slightly to the right, I can see through a sliver of the glasses clearly. Hmmmm. That’s not OK with me.
Too bad it was around the holidays that I got the glasses, and with all the rush, my 30 days passed where I would have been able to return them. Needless to say, I won’t be getting my glasses here anymore. According to Consumer Reports, Costco makes lenses with more accuracy for a lot less money too. Meanwhile, I’m going to try to figure out how to keep the frames I bought at LensCrafters, and have the lenses replaced somewhere else.

I had an appointment and waited 15min to start the tests, and then 20min for the doctor. They gave me two options to check my retina: a scan ($ 40) or eye drops (quoted $ 30). So I did the scan so I wouldn’t have to wait to drive home.
My gf just went there and was told the eye drops are free with the regular co-​pay ($ 10). I will not go back to this one.

We travel from Sherman Oaks to Burbank. Excellent service, staff professional and you park and walk right to the door entrance.

Every year it is the same, they do not call you on your appointment time. We waited for 40 minutes, the stuff was not polite. We just walked out the door without having the eyes examed.

The staff and doctors Wong & Roth are really nice. I am always greeted when I walk in. I give it 2 stars only because there is always a wait. For all my appointments I had to wait. I had to keep coming back because of follow ups I had an ulcer in my eye. My first visit was a walk in I was in the office for 4 hours! A busy Tuesday!

Went in today because my frames broke and needed them fixed ASAP because I’m getting married this week. I had bought the frames there and they were still kinda new so I knew they would take care of me. The manager Arsha went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I needed and more.
I’ve been going here for years and have always been happy but because of the great customer service I’ll be coming here for years more.

Dr Wong was, as usual, amazing. I called up at 3pm and set up an appointment at 340pm. Came there and was immediately helped.
Totally opposite from the branch in Beverly and La Cienega. Everyone there is horrible except for one.
The guy helping me was fast — not super friendly — but it was basic. I think they have high sales goals so they would sell as much as they can.
I came back the next day to have something returned and was helped by the manager. You know she’s the manager because she was the only one with a sense of urgency in the store. She made it easy for me to cancel my order.

The sales staff is pretty abysmal. One says hello without looking up, and the guy with the bow tie who ends up helping me purchase my contacts never says hello, thank you, or please in the entire 10 minute interaction. He also tells me my contacts are out of stock with a smirk. After I tell him I know that and that I would like him to order and ship them to me, the smirk immediately disappears. I guess he thought I didn’t know that? Dude refuses to exercise basic manners.
On the upside!– oh wait, no, nothing really.

I had to wait a while for my appointment because my chart was misplaced, which was kind of irritating. The woman who walked me through all of the testing was really nice. Dr. Richards was really wonderful and helpful. He got me through my exam quickly without rushing me at all. Definitely one of the best eye exams I’ve had.
At first I felt the sales staff was a little pushy, but all the glasses they showed me were good picks and made my decision easy. They stayed late (since my exam was delayed) to help me pick a new pair of glasses that I really love, and they’ll be ready for pick up in less than 24 hours!

I used to go to the one in Glendale but I had a horrible experience there and switched to the Burbank one. I must say that, just like Glendale, it was busy and chaotic. Everyone seems to be in a frenzy; however, the customer service is way better. Everyone was nice and gave me informed answers. I learned that you can get a discount if you have AAA.
I will probably come here from now on. Overall, it was a decent experience for me & my eyes.

Dr. Janet Roth… enough said. Best Ophthalmologist I have seen. It’s not just the knowledge, but she is also a pleasant and professional person. I will be sending my wife to see her.
The other staff were very friendly also.
Their frame selection is pretty wide open too. I am not keen on spending much on glasses. I escaped having only paid $ 120 in total. That’s a win for me!
I did have to wait, even though I made an appointment (½ hour). I selected this location due to convenience (close to my house), and hopes that I could take advantage of the «corporate drive-​thru» logistics you get sometimes with these chain places.
All and all though, a very positive experience. The glasses I got are A+ and doing the job.

Nice people, horrible glasses.
I made the mistake of going to LensCrafters the end of December to use the balance of my flex spending money. The first set of glasses I got from them were hands down the worst glasses I have ever bought. The focal point was so small that nothing was ever in focus. They made me dizzy and disoriented. They were completely unuseable.
I brought them back and had them remake them. The new glasses were hands down the second worst glasses I have ever bought. They were slightly better but still unuseable.
I brought them back and they made me a third pair of glasses. This are better, but still not as good as the glasses I was wearing before I first walked into LensCrafters. I would return these two and demand my money back, but it is a new year and with the flex spending restrictions I wouldn’t be able to actually get my money back, so I am stuck with these sub-​standard glasses.
I will never go back to LensCrafters again.
I will say however that the people were nice, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that I spent literally hundreds of dollars on glasses that I can’t wear.

I had a really great experience here about two weeks ago. It was easy and convenient for me to come to this location to get a new pair of glasses. The staff was nice, and helpful. I’ve had glasses and lenses for a long time, so I know what I do and don’t need. Of course they’re going to try and upsell you to get you the best item they have… but if that’s not what you’re looking for, just tell them!
The only part that I was annoyed with, but this has to do with my schedule, not them… is that the test took way longer than I thought it would. I needed to get back in the office, peeps!
Other than that, my new glasses are great! I had Dr. Roth, I believe, she was great!
