So happy this place is in my neighborhood! Super friendly staff… I always end up chatting with them. Tons of geeky, nostalgic, fandom, awesome things all around the store. Cute little buttons, magnets, patches, posters, toys, games, shirts. Go now yes.

If you’re into Star Wars and you’ve never been to this place, you are messing up big time. This store carries a lot of really cool stuff. I mean, I had a REALLY hard time deciding what to buy. Awesome horror movie t-​shirts, action figures, stickers, patches, pins, posters, toys, playing cards, etc.
On my very first visit to this store, I ended up walking out with a very cool Clint Eastwood poster (as Outlaw Josey Wales) and a deck of Nightmare on Elm Street playing cards. I was in here for about an hour and walked out with only 2 items. Man, I wanted to buy so much more stuff lol. When it was time to check out, I interacted with a lady named Berkeley and a man named Larry, who is the owner, and they were both very nice people. They were glad to hear that I was taking pictures of their merchandise so I could show my friends. Positive interactions with staff members is what makes me go back to an establishment. It’s too bad they are closed today, because I probably would have gone back as soon as I was done writing this review.

Awesome store. They have all kinds of cool gifts, collectibles, and toys. And the employees are really nice and helpful. They recently moved to a bigger store which is great because the old store was a little cramped. They have comics, movie posters, movies, old rare toys, cool new toys, movie memorabilia, action figures, life-​size busts, amazing statues, and more! Go check these guys out.

First time here during Gentle Giant day, this is a pretty large space, BUNCH of collectibles, props, statues, figures, busts, vintage, modern, art, signed, etc
There aren’t too many comics which i was a little surprised, just one wall/​section
but everything else is so freakin awesome
the owners are super nice and humble as well and have a huge variety of items for any typeof collector!

Great store — They just moved to a bigger location, with parking. I’m a ‘Superman’ fan and they always have such great stuff. The peops are friendly. And they have everything a nerd could want. I always shop there for gifts, and for myself.

This is easily one of my favorite places in the entire City. I first found them in their old location shortly after relocating from NorCal, and was immediately in love with the shop. A fantastically eclectic collection of new and vintage toys from every nerdy franchise from classic horror to 80s ultra-​violent action to transformers to Star Wars. Classic vintage figures, along with new stuff like Neca and Sideshow collectibles figures and statues. I’ve picked up quite a few little treasures from this place now, and I make it a point to stop in once a week if I can just to see what’s new and to chat with the owner and his employees, who always have something interesting to say. These are great, laid back nerd-​folk– I’ve stood in the shop for an hour just having a conversation with these guys. Fantastic place to browse and just be a nerd!

This was my first trip to Blast From The Past and my boyfriend’s first trip to the new location. Upon our arrival, we were immediately greeted by smiling faces. The owner was so friendly and allowed us to explore his shop with our ice cream cones! (They DO allow food, drinks and photos!)
The shop space is very large and since they are still new, the store isn’t completely filled yet. Even though they’re still getting settled in, they have a great assortment of collectables, comics, trinkets, art and apparel already up for sale.
On our way out, we stopped to thank the owner for letting us browse around and ended up chatting with him for a while about old horror movies. This is definitely a place you can come and just nerd out with great people.
Parking is pretty easy to find around the location. They have a parking lot around the corner and ther’s usually tons of street parking!

Blast From The Past recently moved to this location from its prior, much smaller storefront. This is a very welcome move, because the new location is not only a much larger, but full of space and light, making it easy to find what you’re looking for without feeling crowded or claustrophobic.
There’s plenty of hard-​to-​find items here. Prices range from a dollar for stuff on the bargain table to hundreds (thousands?) of dollars for particularly rare collectibles, Including framed and signed posters, etc.
The staff is helpful and friendly. And just nerdy enough to really understand the merchandise and their clientele.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for rare comics, action figures, posters, and similar collectibles. And if you don’t find it here, they can probably get it for you!

I can’t wat to make it out to their new store! It should be bigger and way better. I saw them painting a brand new rockin mural on the side of the new location… What other place has that attention to detail?
The environment of the store is so friendly and comfortable, and the owner is so nice!
It’s not only the traditional Star Wars etc– they also have some cool 90’s toys. (And hopefully more soon?). Love the Disney stuff too

I purchased a gift for my nephew over a month ago. Sadly the toy did not work. Spoke with Larry, the owner. He was so supportive and kind. Said come on in for an exchange. I had no receipt/​package. What a great store!!!

Eric is the best employee! Every time I go he remembers what I am into and always suggests new things!

I have been coming here for a few years and rarely do I leave empty handed. The owner is funny and delightful to make conversations with, and boy does he know his stuff. Whenever I’m looking for an obscure item they don’t currently carry he either locates it online for me or takes my phone number to contact me in the future.
Today I got a ventriloquist dummy for my husband’s birthday and had a pleasant conversation with Larry, the owner. If you’re looking for a rare toy he is the man to ask!
Btw, he informed me they are moving into a larger location on Magnolia. Yay more stuff!

This place is pretty cool, nice old comics and cool collectibles and old school toys. This place brought back so many memorize because I seen so toys I used to have in my younger years, I don’t know if I still have them in a box somewhere but defiantly a place to check out at least once

Ideal for toy collectors. Not so ideal for those wanting to buy current comics or look through a vast back-​issue selection.

Cool store! Their vintage star wars toys are awesome along with everything else they got. It was fun just being here seeing their large display of toy shelves. The place is like a great toy museum that any nerd or fan boy will appreciate. Star Wars toys draw me in like a magnet :) The big bearded guy at the counter who may have been the owner, not sure, was nice and professional enough.
Would definitely come back next opportunity I get.

We’ve driven all the way from LAX area to Burbank 2wks in a row to visit this shop! They have a lot of great stuff, all competitively priced! The atmosphere is fun, and you can easily get lost wondering around for an hour or more. We love talking with the owner, and always have a blast.
The only bad part is our empty wallets once we leave :)

It’s been at least 3 years since I was last here. Upon entering the shop, the young clerk said «Hello, what’s going on? Welcome». I didn’t have anything in mind to buy, just checking out all the goodies they had. As I walked toward the back of the shop I saw Larry walk out and it was nice that he had remember me and said hello and it’s been a really long time since I’ve been around.
The store hasn’t changed much as there is lots of cool eye candy from Vintage star wars figures to the Newer Batman or Doctor Who collectibles, Lot’s of Disney and GI Joe stuff, etc. It’s not too often I can stop by as I live out in the West Side, but I think I’ll try to make an effort to stop by more often.

Love that this place is a few blocks from my house, love it more that I know they have a Freddy Kreuger replica glove complete with sharp blades. I came in here after a friend made me aware that this place existed, we spent a good hour or so looking in every corner of this place. I think a lot of ohhs and ahhs were heard, but not much else.
If I were a millionaire and my fella would let me, I would have walked out of there with more than two original star wars glasses from the 70’s. I would have bought the glove to wear to bed and screw with his mind. Yup, that is the kind of girl I am. Come to think of it, there would be few occasions I would not wear the glove to.
Plenty of comics, lots of older editions too. Be prepared to spend lots of time looking through all the racks, and in every nook and cranny. Quite a few toys that I would love to have adorn the shelves. The coolest part of this shop is the owner, He was so cool. He sat and chatted with me for quite awhile about toys, music, books, the fact that Disney bought Lucas Films. Aaarrrggghhh. That just rubs me the wrong way.
I would say, make this a first stop when looking for that hard to please friend. They have quite the selection ranging through different genres, there really is something for everyone!

I don’t really buy comics anymore, but I still enjoy going to comic stores. Even moreso when they’re also replete with toys, because, you know, I’m a huge nerd and all.
They’ve always got an impressive selection of limited edition figures/​busts/​toys, especially if you’re into horror. Look past the racks of decaying MacFarlane action figures (which, seriously, guys, are not going anywhere at those prices) and have a gander in the display cases, where there are lots of oddities. I was mesmerized by the sheer volume of Creature from the Black Lagoon merchandise they had. I can easily see myself coming back sometime for one of the larger pieces.
This trip, I ended up leaving with a piece for the Spooky Town my gf and I are putting together for Halloween. $ 20 for what was a $ 60 piece in 2006 is a nice score. The guys who work here are also very knowledgeable and friendly enough.
