Great customer service and very thorough in explaining before proceeding with anything else. Got it back much sooner than expected! Erik was always prompt in updating me with what was going on with my car.

Tuesday after Labor Day, happily driving to work and suddenly a loud clank under my car and then a horrible grinding sound. I’m prepared for the worst. I decide to take my car to AAMCO because I’m tight on money and I heard they finance. They diagnosed my car right away. I had a broken axle and the clutch was going out. In 2 days they fixed my car at a very reasonable price and I was able to finance the bill. Erik was very nice, helpful and answered all my girlie car questions. I’m a happy girl with a car that runs like new again. Highly recommend anyone and everyone that need work done on their car to go to AAMCO!

I had been having car problems for weeks, in and out of my other mechanic – and then I brought my car here and I couldn’t be happier. Eric and his team were thorough, patient with all of my questions/​phone calls, and very informative. Car troubles can be such a nightmare and AAMCO was very helpful! Only 4 stars because I didn’t actually get work done. The dreaded check engine light came on my 2013 Mazda 3, I really did not want to bring into the dealer, so I looked up my local AAMCO. They indeed checked it for free and I was in and out in an hour! Neil and Dan were very nice and informative, it was only a small problem with my gas cap. Hopefully I wont be having anymore problems anytime in the near future since my car is on the newer side, but I recommend this AAMCO and will go back and refer friends when they need a check or repair.

After my own dealership didn’t fix my lights (despite me specifically pointing out the problem to them– grr), I took my Prius over to Aamco and they were so good to me! If you have a Prius, talk to Neal, he’s their Prius guy and he was wonderful! Talked to him over the phone, texted him some pictures, and he gave me an accurate and fair estimate right then and there. He didn’t pull any punches or suggest anything that my car didn’t need and he stuck to the prices he had stated– a fair and honest guy. They had my car done in 2 hours. If you need work on your car, I highly recommend Aamco in Burbank! :)

Brought in my PT cruiser with transmission problem. I didn’t want to repair it, but they finally convinced me to put in a rebuilt transmission. Lasted 5 months. Had to take to another AAMCO closer to me that found metal in the pan. That AAMCO couldn’t fix the transmission and I ended up getting rid of the car. Severe waste of time and money. Stay away.

Transmission problems are just a pain. My Dodge Avenger needed a rebuild, and I decided to go here. Soooo, they used a third party to tow my car in. It was free because they did the repair. The customer service was very good from start to finish. Eric, I think his name was super patient with us. We had a million questions throughout the process. The first thing they did was a free inspection to determine if the transmission would need to be rebuilt. Here is where things get tricky. Once they say yes we need to rebuild the transmission they don’t give out any quotes or ballparks. So you don’t have any earthly idea how much this service is going to cost you. They say this is because they need to bring down the transmission to identify the problem and see what major parts needs to be replaced. However, they can tell you how much the labor is going to be to bring it down (about $$ 1300 for my car). So the price goes up from there depending on how many parts you need… So basically you don’t really know how much worse it can get. YOU HAVE TO BE SOMEWHAT FINANCIALLY PREPARED TO HAVE THIS SERVICE PERFORMED because once they bring your transmission down it would be pointless to say I can’t pay for the parts. This is because you already have to pay so much for the labor they did when looking inside it. I would assume no one would want to do that again. I personally think ball park estimates would be helpful for customers because the service can be so costly, and the final price could be unexpected. However, I do totally understand why they don’t do it. So it’s helpful to do research regarding your car’s transmission if you have to know what rough price estimates. To compare… The shop I took my car to before AAMCO was able to give me the price of 2100 out the door no taxes, before even bringing it down or starting work. I will say that AAMCO’s price was higher but not that much of a difference. The labor price AAMCO told me was also around the same price as the other shop. There is also the possibility that they will call you to add on more after work begins. That did happen to me. However, it was only $ 100 more. However, I never felt like they were intentionally trying to charge me more or be manipulative. Their turnaround time was super quick. My car was ready in two days. They also have financing through Synchrony Bank. It’s based on your credit. That’s an awesome option, and most shops don’t have that. I was approved for twice the amount the repair. The other shop told me I could pay some, but I couldn’t pick my car up until I paid everything even it was six months a year later. LOL yea right. I think AAmco is a great option They are nationwide, and you can take it to any of them during your warranty. They also have a great reputation too. In summary, I totally recommend this place. However, If you have any serious like serious financial struggles shop around the locals. FYI that is somewhat difficult because my car couldn’t even drive. It had to be towed everywhere. If you don’t do the repair at the shop, they usually charge you the fee to tow and another to diagnose. Again, customer service was awesome. My car is running smoothly. I haven’t had any problems out of it yet. The only thing scary about this process is simply not knowing how much you have to pay in total. I hope I gave good insight on the transmission process based on my personal experience at AAmco.

Brought vehicle here to get check engine light checked and was told they can’t do it because the technician wasn’t here. I don’t think it’s that hard to plug in a device and read it

These guys went all out to accommodate. I was not an easy customer as I have a very difficult transmission to repair for a car that wasn’t quite worth the trouble, but it had sentimental value. When it seemed like the cost was too high, Eric and the staff got creative and gave me a lot of different options in what could be done. We ended up settling on a solution that made all parties happy. Great job guys.

I had brought my fiat to have a bulb replaced for my stop light. Neil took me right away and said he never put one in this car but dillengently and quickly put one in and it was for free! I love how easy going he was too.

I should have wrote this review about six ths months ago. I took my black 2006 Beetle that I was financing for about a little over a year in to get services for the engine light coming on. The mechanic called me back saying that the head gasket was blown and that the repair was going to run about $ 2000 dollars. I explained that I did not have $ 2000 at the moment so I would have to bring it back at a later date. The mechanic on the phone then hastly said, «oh are you sure sir because we have financing?» I said, «that’s perfect go ahead and fix it then.» After a few days, the shop calls and says my car is ready and I zipped down there all excited. I talk to the mechanic and he says, «okay so you want financing correct?» and he went on to ask me questions and type them in his computer. Then the mechanic looks up and says, «sorry sir the computer says that your credit isn’t good enough for us to finance you how do you wish to pay?» I said, I don’t have any clue!” Long story short. The car was repossessed my bank account was levied to zero, the bank charged me three over draft fees on top of that forcing me to close my bank account of ten years.

Three girls are on a road trip to Disneyland, and the check engine lights comes on. What to do?
Thank goodness for AAMCO here. We pulled off the freeway and tried to get the engine light read by an O’Reilly a few miles away, but we were sent here instead. Once we got in, they had the report read, and they told us it was just a switch that needed replacing. They mentioned the car was still okay to drive without the replacement, and to just check it once again when we were back home in the Bay Area. And off we went to the happiest place on earth! Super quick, honest, and air conditioned!

I called this place for a quote on my radiator and he said he didn’t have the parts so he would have to call around. I mentioned that Auto Zone around the corner has the parts (in case he needed a place) and he immediately said, ‘I don’t use Auto Zone parts and if you are looking for the cheapest place, this isn’t going to be it’ and I said, ‘I’m not looking for the cheapest, I just want to get a quote’. He reluctantly took took my info down and of course never called back. I was actually going to go there for the first time (ironically referred by an Auto Zone employee) for an oil change and diagnostic even though I’ve heard that it’s not necessarily the cheapest however they were closed and then my radiator busted right shortly after and Pep Boys was going to charge $ 500 while my usual place quoted me $ 180 (But it’s too far to tow) so I was looking for what’s in between. The guys at Pep Boys were worse actually so I will never go to that location. What I was looking for is fairness and a place where honest people work. I believe you get what you pay for and am always looking for a place of integrity where you do get good quality work for what you pay for. I would think #AAMCO would care more it’s reputation since it’s a national chain. I ended up spending $ 420 at Guido’s Electric and Auto Repair on Cahuenga and Burbank Blvd which included the radiator, thermostat, coolant flush and oil/​air filter change plus they are connected with a reasonable tow company. Ladies, follow your gut and don’t be bullied by auto repair shops!

The first time I went here was a 5 Star experience. Great service and felt served and taken care of. THIS time however I went in for something which unfortunately could not be replicated once the car was at the shop. That isn’t the problem, what bothered me is that as I was leaving and asking a question about whether to leave the car or take it home, the manager Neil said «I don’t care I have REALLY IMPORTANT PEOPLE coming that I need to take care of» WOW! Really??! So, since those ‘other REALLY IMPORTANT PEOPLE’ are so special I guess it won’t matter that I take my ‘UNIMPORTANT BUSINESS’ elsewhere. Thank God there’s a Pep Boys down the street and Myron considers ALL of his customers IMPORTANT Guests in his house. If you are Important perhaps this AAMCO will help you, however if not, maybe hit up the Pep Boys where you will be looked at as Important regardless of your car or personal financial status.

This guys are the best on this business, 100% honest hard to find nowadays. A bit disappointed with my carpet but overall highly recommended.

The most honest and professional mechanic experience I’ve ever had in Los Angeles. Eric and his team were extremely helpful and supportive in explaining my car’s transmission issue. I brought my car in thinking I was going to have to spend a fortune as my engine malfunction light was on. They quoted my $ 90 to diagnose, I agreed and left my car with them.
A few minutes later, they called and said that they found the problem; it was a valve that had come loose. So, they didn’t charge me at all. Very honest and professional.

I had to get my car serviced and hate going to the dealership because it’s usually a total rip off. A friend told me about this Aamco, Burbank location so I gave them a shot.
First of all, the people working there are friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me a breakdown of what was needed and what to anticipate in the next couple of years of service. I never thought they were trying to upsell me with stuff that I didn’t need.
Their service was attentive and fast with a fair pricing structure. I highly reccomend them and I will go back!
