I love their brunch selection! This new restaurant has a GREAT menu. From skillets to salads, I love their food!

The omelette is really good, and the quinoa salad is good as well. They have a lot of options for toast as well(they even have challa!). The service is laid back and nice, and they remember you immediately if you’ve been there before. This has been my go-to brunch place as of lately, and I really like it!

Quaint restaurant located in a strip mall. The service was good. Excellent food. Lots of variety. Healthy options too. I’m definitely coming here again. I would definitely recommend the Nutella crepes. The worker said«they are to die for!» And I agree. Yum! Fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. What’s not to love :)

Nice clean café, good service, the food was ok, but average, nothing special about it, my skillet was kinda bland compared to similar skillet at Egg Harbor. My husband’s chicken was too dry in his sandwich. Kids items(pancakes and crepes) were good but again nothing special. Good coffee(Lavazza)

Eh had hash two fried. Eggs to go with a later that was foam asked for more beverage didn’t fill it up. Ham in the hash was salty needed some onions. Fast service, felt bad for the hostess seemed a little unsure of herself maybe new hire?

DW and u ate here a few weeks ago. Have you ever ate at an airport restaurant where you walk out and an hour later you forgot the entire experience. This describes our meal. Overall just average. Nothing bad. Service was fine. Just average everything. We’d try it again, but aren’t rushing back. The only weird thing is I ordered the yogurt parfait and it tasted like sour cream. I love Greek yogurt and eat plain yogurt weekly. This was inedible to my taste. They took it away, so it was handled well. But man that first bite haunts me even today.

We dine at the Maple Café every Sunday and let me tell you this is such a good addition to the Buffalo Grove area dining choices. Consistently great food, great staff(especially out waitress Janette). I look forward to the always fluffy bistro omelette and the side of delicious and thick bacon all week. Did I mention the bacon is great.

We just enjoyed a wonderful lunch/brunch today. Our server(Jeanette) was very nice and our service was wonderful. They serve Lavazza coffee and I enjoyed my cappuccino immensely. We both enjoyed a hearty bowl of the Shrimp/Corn Chowder and it was delicious! My father had a great turkey sandwich with homemade chips and I had a bowl of oatmeal with fresh fruit. All in all a great place and I’m happy this has made it to Buffalo Grove. We will be back for sure!

Nice little breakfast place. I came in from Wisconsin to visit the parents who live nearby. They love going out to breakfast so were excited to have stumbled upon this new place. It opened back in May and I wonder if some of the harsher reviews were back from opening struggles. We had excellent service. Our waitress was prompt, friendly and one of the best coffee-refillers I’ve ever had. My mug was never less than half full! They serve Lavazza and the coffee is excellent. I’m not big on breakfast so pretty much always get bacon and eggs but my companions are huge breakfast people and felt the menu had a wide variety of unique options. The hash brown potatoes were clearly fresh, not frozen. The eggs tasted very fresh. My sister had the ham and eggs and felt the ham was high quality. The parents had omelets which both got great reviews. The space is open, bright and cheery. The walls are decorated with burlap coffee sacks for a bit of a unique feel. Plenty of parking out front as it’s located in a large strip mall.

We have eaten there 3 times. The first time The food and service were good and the owner came by to chat a while. I would give it four stars. The second time, I ordered fish tacos but I couldn’t handle a lot of spice. The tacos came with nothing in them except the fish. The waitress, who used to work at the Buffalo, was able to get me some items to eat with the fish in the taco. Poor presentation and lack of common sense. Three stars. The last time we were there I ordered an omelette. It came out well done, brown on the outside and dry. It was the same waitress, who provides good service, but the food was extremely disappointing which is why I have given this restaurant two stars.

We enjoyed our visit to Maple Café. Not slammed on a Wednesday around 1130, but a decent crowd. Our waitress was a sweetheart. I had the Monterey Chicken Sandwich w no cheese and it was delicious. Chicken had a nice char crust and the avocado and pico were fresh and tasty. Just got a side of fruit but since I don’t like melon(all fruit sides are 80 percent melon), the accommodated w/grapes, strawberries and pineapple w zero melon. This I greatly appreciated. Wife had the omelet which she seemingly enjoyed considering the food to plate ratio at the end of the meal. We will be back for a nice relaxing breakfast/brunch/lunch.

It was very good, service was attentive and the food quality very nice and order delivered exactly as requested. The place is neat and clean and worthy of a return visit. I had breakfast this time and my omelet and hash browns were great.

Brunch is the most important meal on the weekends and with a dearth in the immediate area, Maple Café is a welcomed establishment. Once a Michael’s Red Hots, host to mostly cricket sounds and tumbleweeds, noon time at Maple was bustling. I’ve brunched here on two occasions with family and friends. As expected, large groups are always a headache to service, but Maple took on the challenge. Omelettes, benedicts, skillets, french toast, fish tacos, and a kid who’d eat nothing else but a burger with pickles… needed to have pickles, or else! Leave your frou-frouness at the door and settle in with hearty portions. It’s brunch– I’d expect nothing less. Loved the endless pours of Lavazza coffee. Given that it’s a super short drive from my parents’ place, it’s easily my family’s go-to spot to meet and brunch it up.

Coworkers and I stopped by for lunch on the way to a different place we had in mind. Saw that it was packed and decided to try out the newly renovated place. Atmosphere: clean, café like, plenty of seating of booths and tables. Service: excellent staff and service. Polite, prompt and friendly. Food: between the eggs, French toast, poutine(yes they had poutine!) and Paris Benedict, we had 4 very happy mouths. Good selection and menu! Pricing: combos not as inclusive as typical breakfast deals and end up being fairly expensive for relatively small portions. Extras like 2 slices of bacon cost $ 3.75. Would come back again tho.

Lavazza coffee is always great. I like a lot of water with my meals so I appreciate them leaving a carafe of water at the table so you don’t have to flag someone down. The chicken noodle soup was excellent. I had the BLT which was wonderful on challah bread but a bit skimpy on the bacon and the mayo aioli. My daughter had a Greek omelette which was filled to the brim with feta and spinach.

As you first walk into the establishment, it appeared to be a nice place. as soon as you sit down you wait several minutes for the server then after you order your food it took approximately 20 minutes to receive our food when there were only 4 people in the entire restaurant. I ordered two eggs up, bacon and a side of white toast. I use the toast to dip into the eggs and I couldn’t even get through one piece of toast for both eggs. The bacon at Mariano’s is much better. this bacon tasted very dry. My friend and my coffee cups sat empty and I had to ask the host to bring us more. I have no idea what the problem was, because there were only 4 people in the entire place. The hispanic gentleman server was very kind, but had broken english, which made it very difficult to understand him and had to repeat myself several times by saying,“what did you just say”? now onto the bathrooms … as I enter the bathroom it looked OK and appeared to be clean then when I washed my hands I could see it the dirt on the tile walls. For a brand new place, I was surprised to see they still had the original hand dryer. After looking around, the counters had old caulk on the counters too, which had been discolored. I’m sorry, but I won’t be back.

It’s okay. Food comes too slow even when just 2 – 3 tables are occupied. Came more out of convenience for a 3rd try. Huge place, but they should’ve added a counter here for a more«diner» feel. Better places are Walker Bros & Egg Harbor.

We decided to try this place because it’s so close to our home. When we walked in, we noticed it’s very loud. The hostess was very nice and we were seated right away. Our server, a young guy, was friendly and came to our table quickly. He asked my husband what he’d like to drink and then walked away without asking me if I’d like a drink, not a big problem because I was going to drink water. My husband ordered pancakes and I ordered an omelette. The menu states that omelettes come with a choice of fruit or potatoes and a choice of toast. Our server never asked me what I’d like. We thought he’d come back when he placed the order but he didn’t. When I got my entrée, it had a side of potatoes and no toast. My food was just ok but my husbands pancakes were awful. We won’t be back. Pros Nice hostess Very clean Cons Server was not trained Very loud Bad pancakes

Lavazza coffee Lunch looked great. Environment was clean and way more inviting than Michaels. Need to expand kids menu. Great fresh squeezed OJ.

Excellent new place in the neighborhood. Nice owners. Not a chain. Same space as Michael’s used to be in. Let’s welcome them to the neighborhood. Tell your friends. Went with my daughter and her friend during lunch. Mostly local people stopping by but the place was packed with no advertising. The owner is trying to do a «soft» open My daughter’s friend got an omelette and it was quite large. She said it was excellent. My daughter had the tuna sandwich and enjoyed it but it was too big for her hands she said. They served a creamy cole slaw on the side which I tasted and it seemed to be home made and quite good. I had the Mile high skillet which I think is the typical«gypsy» in other restaurants and it was very tasty. Lots of flavor and not too much cheese. Prices — I felt they were extremely reasonable for any restaurant in the area and for the portion size. Coffee — Lavazza. The only minus I would say is that we sat in the back room in the center and it was pretty noisy.
