Floor Visions

Dear Unilocal,I had an earlier review of this business that you took down. The owner convinced you it was not a valid review. On April 25^th in small claims a judge agreed with my bad experience with this company and awarded me enough money to get my floors redone by another company. I also can not access my email that my Unilocal account is connected to because this company’s employee/​employees robbed me while doing the job and one of the things they stole was my address book with my passwords in it. I can say, that if you are looking to get your floors done, I would go elsewhere.

Keith and his crew refinished our 100 year old floors 2 years ago, they were fast and stayed true to their time frame and budget. A year ago we tore out the carpet in our small (250 sq ft) back office and wanted to put in wood floors, we called Keith and he came out to give us an estimate. After a week of not hearing from him I called a couple times and left voice mails. I never heard back from him. What’s disappointing is that if the job was too small for him he should have just told me instead of blowing me off. Now I am looking to put down new flooring in the entire house because the old floors are just not stable, and I will NOT be calling Floor Vision. 3-​stars for doing a good job the first time, minus two for lack of customer service in an industry where customer service can lead to thousands more in business.

I would definitely recommend Floor Vision as I had a really positive experience. There was a slight discrepancy from what was communicated on the phone to what appeared on my final bill.
I brought this to the attention of the owner and he gave me the benefit of the doubt. You don’t find that kind of stand up service very often. Much appreciated.

Keith and his team did a fantastic job on our floors recently. We had them take out the existing carpet from the entire first floor of our house and install new hardwood in its place to match the current floors. He and his team were all incredibly friendly and professional. They are young guys but they take their jobs seriously and are focused on doing a great job. They gave us their expert opinions on what stain colors might be good options, but let us make the final decision. We stayed in the house during the whole week of demo, installation and staining/​coating and Keith made sure that the inconvenience was as minimal as it could be to us. The house was always very tidy when they left every night and the amount of dust was very minimal. Keith answered all of our questions before, during and after the installation. We are very pleased with our new floors and we would recommend Floor Visions without any reservations.

Kieth, the owner, and his crew did a great job with our small job resurfacing our wood floors. The entire experience was easy, straight forward, on time, honest, and met all my expectations. They were on time, true to the estimate, and even gave us some other options to consider without necessarily trying to up sell us. The floor had a small burn mark that couldn’t be sanded down so Kieth simply replaced it and was able to match the wood perfectly. I had no problems working with these guys and would recommend them to my best friends, neighbors, and family. Not only was the work done professionally, but Kieth actually performed the majority of the work himself while his partner was equally skilled. Very fair priced.

After doing some comparisons with other companies (both outside recommendations and found on Unilocal), we chose Floor Visions to refinish our floors ahead of selling the house. He was the most eager to gain our business — offering to beat any other competitor offers by $ 100. He was the quickest to get us on the schedule as well.
The floors came out absolutely gorgeous. Our Realtor has since passed his information on to other clients as they were impressed as well, and the house sold in 3 days. Thanks in big part to making that big first impression when you walk in the door.

Apparently business must be too busy for customers. Set up an appointment for an estimate, and the guy never showed up. Didn’t call or anything, just bailed. Needless to say, I won’t be using them to refinish my house.

We hired floor visions to sand and resurface our hardwood floors for our house which was built in the 1950’s. Keith came over to do the estimate and was very friendly and knowledgeable and offered to provide us with test sections of the oil and water based polyurethane since samples can’t accurately depict how our floors would look.
His crew did a great job on the hard wood floors, but there was some wood filler compound on doors, on trim, on walls, and on our sidewalk in front of our house. There was also some polyurethane on the trim (which I can totally understand will happen) and on some of the walls. This really wasn’t too big of a deal to me since we were planning on repainting anyway and we are planning on redoing the trim. We also have some old, crappy laminate in our bathroom which abuts right next to the wood floor and part of the laminate was hit with the sander. There wasn’t any heart ache over this because, again we are planning on redoing the floor in our bathroom. There were some spots that were missed with the wood filler, but they definitely got most of the gaps and cracks.
I was really impressed with how little dust there was. Our floor look absolutely great and am very happy with the final product, but I feel they could’ve done better with some house keeping while they were working.

I am not one to write reviews, but had a great experience and needed to pass this on. Keith Geist and Patrick with Floor Visions provided a great experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend them for any installation and/​or refinishing you might need.
I started with calling Keith for an estimate. He not only answered right away but came over the next day to provide the quote. He was very knowledgeable and the price was right so I signed off. There was no delay in getting the work done either. Patrick and the crew started 2 days later and they were able to level out a severely warped and damaged maple floor. I had opted for water based finish and Patrick applied a sealer and 3 coats of finish as agreed.
When I looked at the finished job on a Saturday afternoon, it was not finished. My floor having been sanded down to bare wood soaked up all the finish and it looked relatively undone. I was in a panic, but should not have been. Patrick had also inspected the floor that morning and was already making plans for additional finish when I called. Although we had only agreed to 3 coats of finish, Keith said they would come right out and apply a 4^th coat of oil based polyurathane finish that would create the look we were after.
NOT ONLY did they not charge for that 4^th coat, Patrick came over at 5:30 on a Saturday night specifically to buff the floor and to apply that coat. Really? Working on a Saturday night that he probably had off? Unheard of!!! Results on Sunday morning when I went back to look at it? FANTASTIC. Exactly what I had been looking for. Smooth, nice lustre to the finish and just plain pretty!
I know that a lot of companies would have done the 3 coats as contracted and then either said «tough luck» or would have at least charged more for more work. I feel that Keith and Patrick went WAY above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and their pride in their work is obvious. In addition, they recommended wooden vent covers to replace the metal ones that sat on top of the floor before. They were done with the same finish and they add SO much to the finished look.
I couldn’t be more pleased and would give more stars if I could. Hopefully I won’t need to have this done again for a while, but when that time comes, I will definitely use Floor Visions again. I will also refer everyone I know! Thanks Keith!

Called Keith after another company totally messed up our hardwood floor refinishing. Keith came out within 15 minutes of my call and confirmed the damage. He was able to send out his crew the next day to repair and refinish our floors! Keith and his guys were great to work with and did an excellent job. I would definately recommend Keith and Floor Visions.

We had Keith from Floor Visions refinish our existing American Cherry hardwood floors and install new American Cherry floors in 2 rooms. Keith and his crew did a fantastic job. Before the refinish job our floors were dull and full of dog scratches. Our floors now look brand new and beautiful. The new floors look great too and are a good match to the existing hardwood floor. We also had Floor Visions install flush mount vents which completed the floor transformation and made everything look very clean and upgraded. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is some dust left over at the end of the process but I managed to clean it up with some wet cloths and Swiffer dusters within a couple/​few hours. I highly recommend Floor Visions. They did a great job. They were very responsive during the whole process (quote to finished job). They finished their work a day ahead of schedule. And their price was much lower than one of the other contractors I found through Unilocal and was very close to another contractor that I also found on Unilocal

Floor Visions ad Keith Geist was the one bright spot in the nightmare that is the rest of my Arvada remodel. Almost no dust, showed up on time, and did a wonderful job, unlike every other contractor I used. My floors were a mess — hadn’t been refinished since 1961. Floor Visions sanded and repaired holes, and did 3 coats of oil-​based poly (which he likes and I like much more than water-​based and lots of other contractors complain about) over all the floors in my house except kitchen over 3 days, and the end result is just beautiful. He also matched the existing hall stain on a dining room floor refinish for my nephew’s house and did a beautiful job on that (also showing up when he said and timely completing the job). Keith’s family has been doing this for generations, and his experience really shows. I got three quotes and his was in the middle, and even if he were the most expensive in retrospect I would use him anyway. I highly recommend Floor Visions.

After dealing with many independent workers the past few weeks while remodeling a house, I was delighted to come across Keith. Keith is what I call a professional in every sense of the word. First, he answers his phone. He shows up when he is supposed to. I had a time crunch, and Keith did his best to fit me into his schedule. None of my other contractors would do that. I expected all kinds of dust from the sanding, but to my surprise, his equipment was the dustless kind. Bags and bags of sawdust were created, but hardly any in the air. I had some severe shrinkage from water spilled on the floor by a tenant, but I could barely see it after Keith was done. He delivered everything he promised and finished on schedule. The oak floors were BEAUTIFUL. They might as well be brand new! To cap it off, he was cheaper than all the other bids I received. I mean, way cheaper.

Keith Geist and his crew did a wonderful job on our wood flooring. Our entire first floor is solid oak and hadn’t been refinished in 15 years. Within three days, everything was sanded, stained, and had three coats of varnish — beautiful. The stain matched our trim perfectly, and the luster of the varnish was exactly as we discussed.
And the new process was fairly dustless. I only had to wipe dust off the baseboards and windowsills. I had heard horror stories from other people about dust getting into cabinets and other parts of the home, but that was not the case.
They have been in the business for a long time, and the experience shows.
