We took our pup Gideon here for a little over a year before moving to San Francisco and we miss everyone who worked there and the amazing care they took of our furbabe everyday. It’s the best place for doggie daycare and we really loved leaving him there knowing he would have fun and be with people who loved him as much as we do. Open a location in SF!

We always use YSP for our 2 senior cats when we go out of town. Love how they email us pictures so we know our buddies are doing good! Recommend.

YSP has been our dog walking service for the last two years and we are so grateful that they exist! They helped us with our puppy, Darby, when he first came home to us as a little 8-​week old — gave us tips and helped make sure that they were helping train him as we were training him. Our walker, Tara, is absolutely amazing. Darby clearly adores her and she takes care of him as is he was her own — nice long walks, playing in the park, big pets. YSP has always made our lives easier — by being incredibly professional, but personable and warm. I would recommend them without any reservations to anyone.

I cannot say enough good things about YSP!
I took my pup here while we were living in Brooklyn, and he loved every second of it! They even had a little nook that was right next to the AC, which I know my smushy faced dog appreciated during the summer months.
I spoke with the owner a few times when dropping him off– at least I think it was the owner, she looked just like Olivia Wilde but with some fabulous tattoos on her arms– and she was really, really nice and listened to my concerns about my dog having gotten beaten up at another daycare. She was super knowledgeable about dogs, as well as resources available to dog owners in the area, and made great recommendations about nearby vets and feed shops.
I really miss them and wish there was something comparable in DC!

I’ve been taking Louie to YSP’s day care for over than six months now. Today I arrived there and saw one of their employees petting my dog with as much love as we would do it. So touching! And it has been always like that. Louie is a dog who is a little scared of people but their employees always showed so much care and affection for him that he absolutely loves going there. No trust issues whatsoever. He couldn’t be in better hands. Thank you, YSP!

This is a very long overdue review for Scott, Greer, & YSP! A few years ago, when we had just moved to Brooklyn, we had a planned trip to Hawaii for a wedding. Since we had just moved we were very unfamiliar with Brooklyn, and nervous about leaving our dog Teri in such a new place where we didn’t know anyone. We found YSP here on Unilocal,and the reviews were raving, so we decided to get in touch with Scott & Greer about leaving Teri with them for the week.
And let me set the stage about our Terrier: We had adopted her about 2 years earlier, and she had (And still does have) severe separation anxiety, and is very scared of other dogs, especially dogs bigger than her. (And Teri is a pretty small Terrier, so pretty much every dog is bigger than her.) I let Scott & Greer know about Teri’s needs, and they were very supportive and encouraging, and told us to bring her in. After first dropping Teri off, she was very nervous and anxious, as expected, and we were worried that Teri wouldn’t be okay being left for the week. But both Scott & Greer worked with Teri throughout her first day, and were able to figure out how to make her comfortable enough that she would feel safe and be happy staying with them while we were away.
We ended up leaving Teri with Scott & Greer for the week we were away, and we felt completely happy & safe in doing so. They worked with Teri and her needs, and genuinely cared about making her feel comfortable and safe. They would take Teri home with them at night, and let their home become Teri’s home that week. Greer made sure to send daily photos of Teri to us, and gave us updates to let us know how she was doing. Getting those photos and updates made us so incredibly happy, and set us even further at ease while we were away on our vacation.
I would absolutely recommend YSP for any of your dog’s needs, whether it be daily day care, or boarding for an extended period of time. Scott & Greer genuinely cared about our dog and her needs, and are truly wonderful people to support. And although we are no longer living in NYC, I can guarantee you will not find a better daycare for your dog. We love YSP!

This is super easy one and long over due review! We have been using Your Spoiled Pet for almost a year and a half now and we absolutely love them. Our canine goes to the daycare about once a week and we also use their boarding. Greer and Scott are great. They love animals and really care for the pups like they were their own. Our dog went lost, not while in their care and they bent over backwards to help us find her posting on their social media sites, alerting others, putting up flyers, notifying their walkers and sending us great emails asking us how else they could help.
Past that though my dog loves going there. If we are within two blocks she will pull me there. She comes back tired and is out the rest of the night.
I can’t say enough good things and can’t recommend them enough.

Your Spoiled Pets is amazing! You couldn’t ask for a better team of people. Our dog is super excited to be dropped off everyday and that’s all that matters. He is obviously well taken care of. I feel very lucky that they’re a short 2 block walk from our apartment!

My 8 month old puppy, Poe, and I absolutely love YSP. When we started sending Poe to daycare, YSP had a one month waiting list, so we have tried a few of the other local doggie daycares (Buddy’s Dog Den & Happy Dogs), and based on our experiences, YSP is far and away the best option in the area. Even though we live much closer to the other two daycares, we still make the 15 minute trek to/​from YSP.
The setup at YSP is particularly unique and special. There is a large rectangular area in the back, but the dogs also have a ramp and a viewing area in the front. I love this setup because it creates a lot of small spaces instead of just 2 – 3 big spaces like most daycares. It may be counterintuitive — you are probably thinking, wait, no, I want more space for my dog — but from what I’ve seen, the smaller spaces actually help entertain the dogs and dampen aggressive behavior.
The space is great, but the staff is definitely the best part of YSP. Poe is excited to see each and every member of the staff, especially Greer and Tara, and it’s nice to see how excited the staff is to see her too. The staff truly care about the dogs at YSP, and it shows. For example, Poe was super outgoing during her first day of daycare because there were only a few dogs in on that day, but when she arrived for her second day of daycare, there were way more dogs, and she was completely overwhelmed. Tara (one of the staff members) noticed Poe’s body language immediately, and before bringing Poe into the play area, she asked a coworker to move all but two dogs out of the area so that Poe would be more comfortable.
I also just want to note for those who read the particularly negative review from someone who was walking by YSP — in my experience, the staff is extremely responsive to any issues, small or big. I don’t doubt that the reviewer was truly concerned, but I also know that I completely and utterly trust YSP with the care of my dog, and if anything, I am a little overprotective of my pup.

My 6 month old puppy Rodney LOVES this place and I do too. He’s extremely active and can be very hyper at times but every evening when I pick him up from here, he is exhausted, so tired that he sleeps all the way home in the car! This works out great for me as I am 5 months pregnant so I am exhausted at that time too… He is a lot calmer in the house now since he has been going to day care!
They take really good care of him from the second he goes through the door until the second he leaves! I highly recommend Your Spoiled Pets and all its friendly staff members…

This place is fantastic. The staff clearly care about the dogs in daycare, and it is the exact opposite of the sterile empty rooms where as many dogs are crammed in as possible in order to maximize profits. Our dog loves YSP, and by the time we hit the corner of Leonard St., she’s pulling her way to the door. She knows where the treats are at the front desk, and knows which employees give her a treat as soon as she arrives.
If I could add anything it’d be a webcam, and possibly tick the boarding prices down, as they are pretty high.

But really. There’s a reason a place gets ALL 5 star reviews (except for poor Alice and her literally shitty dog). Unilocal never lets me down in this way.
My two chihuahuas had never been to doggy daycare before. To be honest, they don’t socialize with other dogs a whole lot, and if they went to school, Papi would be the weird kid in the corner that no one will talk to, but who really likes the teachers, and Indie would be the hugely insecure bitchy cheerleader that lashes out at others because she doesn’t like herself. Not prime candidates for a doggy daycare where the pack rules, but I suspected it was just what they needed.
After a long temperament test and careful observation by Greer and co., it was determined that my dogs could attend daycare and that they wouldn’t mess up the cool thing the pack had going on. It’s my biggest fear that my dogs will some day be assholes to the wrong big dog and *poof* gone. I felt reassured by Greer and staff’s obvious understanding of the pack and also their ability to sense things in my dogs’ personalities after such a brief meeting. I also really loved that every single person that worked there knew every single dog’s name AND their temperament. This is not a let’s-see-how-many-dogs-we-can-cram-in-here-and-take-all-the-money situation. It feels like every dog is known and understood, a blessing for a neurotic mother like me.
Our dogs were also boarded with Greer for 4 days, 3 nights. The way this works is they get to spend all day at the daycare and then they go home with her at night. She has a (get this) yard with actual grass where they can run around and play. They get to sleep in her bed with her. They basically get treated like members of her family. How cool is that? Way better than overpriced doggy hotels where your dog gets a glorified cage. She was super communicative the whole time, sending long reports and tons of photos that she snapped, and also photos snapped by the daycare staff.
I think being with the other dogs at daycare will chip away at my dogs’ personality issues as well. They showed so much progress in just 4 days.
There’s a reason we schlepped from Park Slope to Williamsburg, and it’s because we wanted our dogs to have the best care possible. This is it.

We are repeat customers because of their excellent care for our three cats when we go out of town. Our cats have some special feeding req’s and dietary issues, so YSP’s attention to detail is both necessary and appreciated. Knowing these guys are helping out on the feline front makes each trip a lot more relaxed…
We just returned from a week away to three sociable, calm cats and no drama. Greer, Scott, and team do a great job!

They broke up with me because some of my dog’s poop got on the dog walker’s pants.
Have you ever been broken up with by a dog walker?
It hurts. Even though our relationship lasted for only 2 weeks, I find myself unable to do anything but go over everything that happened in my mind.
— It started when I called and told them I needed a dog walker for my elderly dog who is incontinent and they were like ok cool. We set up times. It seemed like everything was okay.
— For the next two weeks, things were good (or so I thought). I mean, my dog was still old and incontinent, but like I wasn’t expecting miracles.
— Then came the call. I was at work, doing work, working like everything was normal. Like it was a normal day, but it wasn’t. «Hi this is Greer,» I heard the voice trail off on the phone, «so your dog’s poop got on the walker’s pants when he was leaning over to pick it up, and he had to go home and change, which messed up his whole schedule. We just can’t walk him anymore. Is that okay?»
A thousand thoughts flooded my mind. What to say? I thought things were going fine. I thought we had established respect. Was it okay? How could I answer that without her hearing the sadness in my voice? I just wanted to maintain my dignity. I’m not saying I was in love, I just thought it could be the start of something. They were my first dog walkers. MY FIRST. I can’t remember what I said. I think it was like, «Well, if that’s your decision…»
How could dog poop ruin their schedule? As dog walkers, isn’t poop what their schedule runs around?
Greer offered to walk him one last time but never again. I declined. I DON’T WANT YOUR PITY WALK. I hung up the phone, and it felt like the crushing weight of the world. I had read all the Unilocal reviews, and everyone agreed that YSP loves your pets, all pets; according to some, Greer can like speak to animals. Why didn’t YSP love my old dog? Was it really the poop or was it something more? What did we do to deserve this? Will I ever trust another walker again?
I don’t know what happened. I guess I never will. I think that like bad sex, YSP and I came into this with different expectations. I had assumed that they would be okay with dog poop because they walk dogs. In fact, I was paying them specifically to deal with dog poop. But they didn’t see it that way, and I guess this will just be one of those things that I never understand.

These guys are awesome, rates are more than reasonable, and they clearly treat your dog like their own.
The daycare situation is pretty unique (multi-​leveled, big windows, no cages), and they somebody shepherding «the pack.» I’ve had previous dogs in other daycare situations; this seems pretty ideal.
Basically I can never move out of the neighborhood now.

I can’t think of anything I would want this company to improve on. They are responsible respectful, on time, courteous, careful and nice!
I took my dog there for their puppy play group which is a STEAL on the weekends and recently hired a dog walker to come to my apartment and check on my dog who is recovering from surgery. They are great with communication and follow up which for me and someone watching my baby is key. Their prices are great and so our their hours. I would NEVER leave my dog (a HUGE part of my life) in the care of someone I didn’t trust and I trust them!

YSP has been a life saver for my wife and I. We have been using them for walking our new American Eskimo puppy since the 3^rd day we had him. They saved us from almost having a panic attack the first day and came to the rescue to walk our new puppy and have been part of our weekday routine ever since.
Greer has been absolutely amazing. She really cares about what she does and is so incredibly thorough with her updates. She has been extremely flexible and communicative with us about schedules. From the beginning she was incredibly observant and helpful in the training process. We have been in contact every few days with updates about what is working and what could be improved on in the training process. They are very dedicated to mirroring your routine so that the pups are as safe and as comfortable as possible. They are very trustworthy and carry through with helping your new puppy become an excellent family member!
Leonard has been our consistent walker and he is just the best. His notes after every visit are very thorough and thoughtful and he also takes a couple of minutes every visit to make our older dog not feel too left out by giving him treats and talking to him. Our puppy’s progress and success has a lot to do with Leonard’s time and attention with him.
We also boarded our pup 3 weeks into having him and after his weekend with Greer and Scott and daycare at YSP, we got back a more mature and calm and happy dog. He clearly had an excellent time while we were away. Greer was quick to follow up after boarding to check in to see how he was after our weekend away.
My wife and I have never used a walking or boarding service with our older dog previously, but I can say that we are absolutely 100% happy and excited with YSP and their service. They are highly highly recommended.

YSP is great. I’ve had my dog, Chocky, stay with them while on vacation and just so he can play with other dogs all day. Sometimes I pick him up, sometimes they drop him off. Super flexible with you /​your dogs needs.
Very friendly owners and they love the dogs they watch. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog with them. Any pet owner knows how important that is. They update you on the status with pics and email during those long stays.
There is an «interview» process if it’s your dogs first time with them. Basically they just want to make sure your pup isn’t Cujo.
