History

Established in 2012.

My name is Liz. From Brooklyn originally, I spent much of my childhood upstate with dogs, cats and rabbits.

At the age of 7 I joined the «junior humane» program at my local humane society and began volunteering there every Saturday morning. Since then I’ve been hooked on hanging out with animals. These days I spend a lot of time with other people’s pets– as well as my own cats Jack and Rocco, and the occasional ASPCA foster.

In 2004 I completed training to become a volunteer with an organization that rescues animals in disasters. I traveled to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, and after Sandy helped out here in Brooklyn in a shelter caring for the pets of displaced New Yorkers.

I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets in the care of someone else. I’m happy to work with you to make you as comfortable as possible while your pets are with me, communicating regularly with you about how they are doing in your absence.
