Went into here with a couple of friends and the atmosphere was really awkward. The only seating they have is booths that look like they were pulled out of a Burger King from the 1970’s and most of these seats were taken up by people doing scratch offs or kids doing homework. We ordered our food and a table was cleared for us, although before we had a chance to sit down the table had been taken by someone else who wasn’t eating. So, the table had to be cleared again. Also, if you don’t know Spanish it may be difficult ordering as they don’t seem to have a set menu but just have what they have at the moment. Besides the awkwardness though, the food was really good, I got pork and beans and rice. It was delicious and cheap. Three of us had large dishes of meat, beans, and rice as well as about 5 beers for a total of $ 20. So, if I get back here again, I would definitely get take out.

The beans and rice here have been a staple of my diet for years. $ 3.50 buys you about two pounds of delicous beans and fluffy rice goodness. But they also have a lot of meat dishes — Roasted chicken, goat stew, roasted pork, etc. Great value, and the pizza isn’t bad either.

Excellent rice and beans dishes! And the price is right– $ 4-$ 5 per plate. The pepper steak and various stews are highly recommended. This place also has two dollar Corona’s all the time. One of Williamsburg’s hidden gems. The atomsphere is like a carry-out joint. The service is friendly. One warning– be aware that there are some very interesting dishes that they serve sometimes, with very unique parts of animals thrown into the stews, so make sure to ask questions about what you order if you are unsure.
