UPDATE: Several doctors left the practice and United Medical Associates is now Park Slope Medicine-a vast number of doctors in various specialities are under this banner which are now associated with Methodist Hospital(which is now a part of the NY Presbyterian conglomerate) The upside-I can see Dr. Gudi on my new Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan-thanks NYS exchange. Carol is no longer the office manager-Nicole is. Nicole has worked for Dr. Gudi for a long time and knows what is up-if I am really needing to come in she can get me in. She had a little girl last year-shower her with kindness and be patient. Despite the fact that only three doctors now share this office space there is still a ton of people waiting. Waiting you will wait.(if you see my initial review Dr. Gudi explains this is because he is talking to people-I can attest to this-a few years back our visit was finishing up and he said«Alright?» and my response was to burst into tears. His response was to toss my file back in the table and take his pen out and reply«Now I cannot leave because you are crying and I cannot leave a patient when they are crying.“Based on my experience with him I have no idea why Dr. Gudi is never on the NY Magazine list of Best Doctors in NYC-maybe Internal Medicine is not a sexy speciality or he doesn’t know the right people? Anyway I love him-if I was ever anyone and was invited to the Time 100 party-I would invite Dr. Gudi to attend with me-that is how high an esteem I hold him into. I am one of his younger, healthier patients for SURE. I have observed some patients who are jacked up in some respect(blood pressure, blood sugar etc) and he has the same considerate way with them all. you will have to wait-bring your phone, bring knitting, bring your patience.
