I slipped on ice a few years ago and my knee was really sore. I ran into a friend who recommended Tischler, I received an appointment the following week. When I went to the office it was overcrowded with people and that was because of the long wait. I waited nearly 4 hours!!! An x-ray was done, he said I have swelling but I just need pain meds and rehab. Well he was wrong, I had a torn meniscus.

Run, do not walk away from this office. Do not waste your time. My husband with a torn ACL had to wait 3 hours during his first appointment. Dr. Tischler’s assistants Julia and Angela took 3 days to confirm his insurance. We had to call back 3 times to get this information. Once the MRI results arrived at his office, one of his assistants contacted my husband to provide him with the details. WHen my husband inquired back to her«what is a depressed fracture?» Her response was«he didn’t tell me that. You’ll have to make another appointment to see him to discuss your results and next steps. Also he’s going on vacation soon so you’ll need to come in in two days.» When we asked if Dr. Tischler could discuss his results and next steps over the phone(remember my husband is on crutches now for 11 days already) they said Dr. Tischler doesn’t take phone calls. What type of doctor won’t get on the phone with a patient who lives in NYC and is on crutches? At this stage we asked for my husbands test results back so we could see another doctor. When we went to pick up the results, they had lost them.
