A «boutique”-style recording featuring fine acoustic instruments in a flexible and innovative environment. Well suited to creative professionals and many styles of music.

Collaborative space includes grand piano, drums, Fender Rhodes, pump organ, Protools HD, Logic, 5.1 mixing, and a friendly and creative staff.

History

Established in 1995.

A unique studio offering high-​definition recording, mastering, music production, and composition. Equally popular with jazz artists, singer-​songwriters, established artists and emerging bands alike. Founded by jazz pianist turned producer, Nathan Rosenberg, many have come to depend upon our musical skill, our intuition and production sensibility, and the tireless service and support we give our clients.

Business Owner

Nathan Rosenberg has recorded jazz greats such as Kenny Washington and John Hicks and has contributed to major label records such as Poe’s Hello for which he earned a gold record. He also collaborated on 5.1 surround releases for Santana’s Shaman (Arista) and the classic Janis Joplin record «Cheap Thrills» (Sony). In addition, Nathan’s playing and compositions have appeared on countless albums, HBO specials, and computer games scored for companies such as Atari.

As a pianist, he is featured in «Skain’s Domain», Leslie Gourse’s biography of Wynton Marsallis. He is known for his fresh approach to the repertoire of jazz standards.

He has contributed to publications such as Recording Magazine and programmed keyboards and sounds for Broadway shows such as Annie, Dream, and The King and I.

A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, he has studied with greats such as Hal Galper, Fred Hersch, Ernie Hatfield, and Tom Young and holds professional associations with BMI and the AFM.
