Though we have Pro Tools HD2, we feature analog recording and vintage amps and keys. Our Studer 827 2 inch 24 track tape recorder has low hours and is in perfect working condition. We can record and mix through our vintage Trident console to our Studer 810 ¼ inch 2 track recorder to keep the track fully analog until mastering.

History

Established in 2009.

As a sax player and singer for many years, I wanted to start a recording studio that felt comfortable to me as a musician and writer. So I set about creating a relaxed «living room» type environment full of Persian rugs and cool lamps, and for furniture, great original vintage keyboards, drums and amplifiers. With parter, Nunzio Signore’s room design, we have found the right place in Brooklyn. We like the sound of analog recordings, so I included a Studer 2 inch tape machine as well as Pro Tools HD2. Add to that awesome Neumann, Schoeps, and AKG mics, as well as vintage compressors and mic-pres, and you have Mighty Toad Recording Studio. I feel we have a place I like to go to and create music, and we hope you do too!
