Team Clean NYC

My experience with Team Clean NYC was great. Communication in scheduling and leading up to the cleaning was clear and easy. Our cleaner, Maryanne, was very nice and did a thorough job. We will definitely be using Team Clean NYC again.

DIDN’T SHOW UP, WERE UNRESPONSIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE.
When the cleaner didn’t show up for the scheduled appointment at 8am, I called and emailed right away, but didn’t hear back until 8:30 that they couldn’t reach the cleaner. I kept checking back, but we didn’t get an actual call until after 9:30. When I was understandably upset (the issue had caused me to be late for work as well as an important meeting), i was told I was aggressive, and they didn’t need clients like me, and they minimized the seriousness of the problem. When I told them that they were being unprofessional, and that being over an hour and fifteen minutes late without an explanation was unacceptable and that they had made me late for work, I not only was told that they didn’t need that kind of negativity in their life, but that «mistakes happen» and it wasn’t that big a deal. I’ve dealt with other cleaning companies in the past, and if someone is late, they not only call right away, but are efficient and professional in handling any mistakes. Feel free to hire these people if you are interested in being condescended to by people who have wasted your time.

Tried Team Clean for the first time. From booking appointment to cleaning, this company rocks. Committed, professional, and spotless. Maryanne is a good cleaner. she loves her work and is relentless. The owner is professional, AND cares much.

I’ve had consistently excellent experiences with Team Clean. Their pricing is very reasonable, scheduling is easy and fast via email, and the service is excellent. I use a cleaning service sporadically, usually when me and my partner are both working long hours or before/​after having guests stay with us, so when Team Clean comes the place is usually in need of a little extra attention. The Team Clean team members who’ve come to our place have always been very punctual, arriving at the scheduled time, and done a really excellent job, leaving everything sparkling clean. The owner is always extremely friendly, accomodating, and super helpful when scheduling or dealing with logistics. I often book with very short notice, and I’ve always been able to get my first preference for a date and time.
They use natural cleaners and products, and bring all their own supplies (with the exception of a vacuum, I just make sure to leave ours out for them.) I love that the place is always perfectly clean but never smells like ammonia or bleach, as with other cleaning services that use harsher and less environmentally friendly products. I’d give them a stellar recommendation to anyone, but especially to anyone who has pets or is concerned about having harsh chemicals in their home, as all the products they use are non-​toxic and environmentally friendly!
The only potential issue I’ve ever had is that once a team member stayed much longer than planned to finish the job — she made sure that was ok with me when she realized it was going to take longer than expected, did a phenomenal job, and I wasn’t charged a cent more (I even offered to pay more if I had been inaccurate when I gave the info the quote was based off of, and I was assured that it was fine) but it could have been an issue if I had planned the cleaning immediately before I had guests coming, as I sometimes have. But as far as I’m concerned, it’s a plus to have a such great people that will go the extra mile and take the time to make sure the service is perfect! And as I said, the team member kept me informed and I wasn’t charged anything extra. So really a plus in my book, but I do now make sure to schedule in extra time between a cleaning and guests arriving, and if I ever had to schedule it back-​to-​back with something else I’d probably just make sure the team member knew that when they arrived.
Definitely give Team Clean a try, they’ve made me a loyal customer and I highly recommend them!

We’ve used their cleaners 4x and they seem inconsistent. Some came with all their cleaning products, some didn’t. Two were on time, one was a half hour late, another was an hour late. A few of the cleaners did what they could in the 2 hour time limit, a few went over the time to finish. 3 cleaners did a good job, but our last one (who seemed nice) left our place unclean, said she finished our kitchen but the sink and our island and stove top looked untouched, she didn’t take out the garbage and left a dirty rag on the shelf.
Besides all of the above, the owner seems responsive, almost overly cheery even when I had to complain about the last cleaner. Anyway, we won’t be using them again.

I’ve used a few cleaning services and Team Clean is by far the best. The hourly rate is a little higher than some other services, but in my experience they do a better, faster job that makes it worth it (and kind of evens out in the end).
Booking is easy and fast via email. Staff are professional and always on time. They bring their own cleaning tools and supplies (all eco friendly). And really do a great job deep cleaning our kitchen and bathroom. Plus they can send someone dog-​friendly so I don’t have to worry about our large, friendly pooch.
This is a great service if you are looking for a one-​time deep clean or a regular recurring one.

Kelly does a beautiful job – he is meticulous and serious and I request him whenever I send an email to Team Clean and say «can I book a date” – they are always flexible and easy to deal with – a great company with great team members and I wish them all the very best in this crazy competitive world.

We are very happy with the cleaning job by Team Clean. We booked services with only 1 day’s notice, and Shelly came to our apt right on time. She was very friendly and professional. She got right to work and left my apartment super clean. My old dirty microwave looked brand new! The stove and my kitchen floors looked amazing! She was very hard working and I was really impressed with her work ethic. She cleaned my 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apt in 2 hours. It was such a great deal, and I can’t wait to use their services again.

Shelley from Team Clean showed up promptly at 1pm, asked all the right questions, did an amazing cleaning job, asked me if I would like a walk through after she was finished.
I will definitely use them again and can strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a great service and they use responsible products that actually work!

A manager from the company called me, and was very respectful and polite. I was in error in saying that the cleaning person showed up without tools — he actually came with a smallish backpack of tools.
When we discussed my problem with the specificity of requested services, she said in future she would use their work request form more frequently. This would be a great help to those of us who just see a «fridge» and don’t think of cleaning inside and cleaning outside as different jobs.
She also offered me 2 hours of service for my pains. She also said the problem arose when my specific requests got lost in the shuffle and didn’t make its way to the person who ordered the services for me or to the deliverer of the cleaning services.
I’m willing to give this place another chance.

I absolutely love this maid service. I am a heavy airbnb user, so I have new guests coming in and out, and a few times I’ve been in a bind where i was out of town, and not able to prep my home before new guests arrived.
Luckily I was able to prep Team Clean member, Kelly, who is a dream! Never in a million years did I think I would use a maid service, but I’m so happy to have found this company.
I work a full time job, plus airbnb full time, and sometimes I just need to sleep. Kelly comes in and makes my place amazing, and i wake up and my place is sparkling. Love it!

We’ve now used Team Clean twice. Communication has been great and our cleaner is incredibly thorough and takes great care with our home. Even our dishrack was sparkling clean! What’s more, they are wonderful with our pets and use products that are safe for them. We’ve used other cleaning services in the past, and this one has been the best in terms of quality and a great value.

I purchased an Amazon Local voucher for a two hour cleaning with Team Clean. With an email – and subsequent exchange – I had an appointment scheduled on the exact day and time I wanted. Justin, the Teamster who cleaned my apartment, showed up on time and quickly got to work. He started in the bathrooms and then the kitchen, eventually vacuuming and mopping the floors. The apartment is very clean, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with Team Clean NYC. I highly recommend the service.

I never leave reviews, but I’d be remiss not to share my overwhelmingly positive experience with Team Clean.
I called them a year ago to help temporarily with our Airbnb listing while I was on vacation (I’d been referred by a friend).
Candace met with me beforehand to go over any special requests (leaving out towels and shampoos for guests, watering plants, etc) and gave us a fair rate. Everything was A+. My apartment looked great, they were very professional and the renters were happy. This would have been enough.
However I had a family emergency while on vacation and had to leave NY for nearly a year. I was totally unprepared to start renting my apartment to multiple renters, but Team Clean went above and beyond to help me.
Without Team Clean, I could not have afforded to keep my apartment last year. That’s the truth. Their flexibility and fast communication is key, because it allowed me to quickly accept reservation requests. Team Clean kept the rentals going smoothly — which allowed me to focus on taking care of my family. For this reason above of all, I am compelled to leave this reveiw.

We have been clients of Team Clean for over two years and could not be happier.
The quality of the work is exceptional. Whenever we have had any sort of cause for complaint, the owner, Candace, has been incredibly accommodating and understanding. She takes a highly engaged approach to her business and is very responsive.

I found out about Team Clean from a GILT City voucher. The process to set up the appointment was easy and they were flexible with scheduling, which is a plus.
Steve came to our apartment on time (I am a big stickler about being prompt) and he really did beautiful work. Our bathroom was left spotless and smelled wonderful. Our kitchen was tidy, organized and the granite was so clean.
Even though our voucher was only for 3 hours, Steve stayed longer as he needed more time. He really cared about his work and took the time to make sure it was all done.
The normal prices for cleaning are a bit high, but you pay for what you get, ESPECIALLY in Manhattan.
I recommend Team Clean!

I purchased this from amazon for my daughters empty apartment because we wanted a good 1^st cleaning before she and her roommates moved in. The teamster arrived late. I got in touch with the company and then a short time later the teamster arrived. She said something happened to her grandmother. She should have called to let me know she’d be late I wanted the focus of the 2 hours to be on kitchen and bathrooms. Especially wiping out empty cabinets, fridge and stove. At some point I walked in and I saw she put her shoes on the counter cuz something spilled in them. What??? Dirty shoes DO NOT EVER belong on kitchen counters! Then she finished and did 2 bathrooms. I checked it and she left. Only afterwards I noticed she did not clean behind the toilets and the freezer inside door had hair in it. Yuck! No one from the company ever called or contacted me to see if I was satisfied with the service. I think this very young girl who only moved to NY and started working for the company 3 months ago needs much better training. She told me that she is responsible for buying her own cleaning products. I noticed she used Lysol with hydrogen peroxide which I looked up on EWG website. It got a B rating. I thought they only use method, 7^th generation or Ecover. I would NOT recommend this company. I used a cleaning service for my home awhile ago and there was a site manager who checked over everything.

It is difficult to know who to hire and trust in Manhattan, with the keys to your apartment. Team Clean gives me the peace of mind, to do just this and I know I will return home with a sparkling clean apartment.
I have been a client of Team Clean for over one year. They confirm the day before, tell you who will come, as naturally they have a team of cleaning crew, and send one person to your place. Either they bring their own cleaning supplies or use your own. You specifiy anything you want them to focus on.
I was pretty amazed to see they cleaned the hood above my stove, and my toaster crumbs!
I feel comfortable and confident in their service. I don’t use them every month, but when I do it’s very easy to schedule via email.

They did cool work specially at the dirty corners in kitchen and bathroom, really clean and eco-​friendly. If without the voucher, their price is a bit higher than normal cleaning agency, although I believe they spent more in the professional cleaning stuff and training or so.
I was planning to give them 4~5 stars, but I took one star off because they tracked me down, emailed and called me to question about my negative Unilocal review about their service, before I have a chance to finally update it after my vacation. This review was originally made on April 1, when I was annoyed for not being able to get in touch with them. Soon I updated and upgraded it on April 8 when I received their email reply and successfully scheduled the appointment.
With no doubt, that made me kinda uncomfortable.
Learned a lesson, never use ur real name online, unless u r a public figure who is prepared for all kind of things.

Finally get in touch with them via email and scheduled an appointment. As they explained, because of the Amazon deal promotion, flood of phone calls arrived and they did not have enough people to take care of all the requests. Sounds reasonable. Anyway, looking forward to the cleaning work and I will input my final review.

Terrible customer service. I got one voucher from Amazon local deals. Tried to call them hundreds of times, but no one pick up the phone, or call back after my voice messages were left. Was wondering how to redeem my voucher since I can not even get in touch with them, or get my money back…

After having relied on myself for the past 3 years — I decided it was time to let a professional come in and clean my apartment. I’m not messy, so I don’t think I left a ton of work to be done, but nonetheless, there were some hidden nooks that needed scrubbing. I’m happy to report my apartment was spotless upon arriving home this evening. It smelled great and really was super clean.
The entire experience was such a pleasure. The founder stopped by last Friday to see what she and her «teamsters» would be working with. I very much appreciated this because it made me feel at ease knowing who I would be letting into my apartment and because I knew she was giving me a fair estimate. Another company quoted me $ 300 and Team Clean did an excellent job at half the price (and they still spent 3 hours cleaning!). Furthermore, it was painless to set up an appointment around my schedule. They arrived right on time at 830 this morning and left things in perfect order. I’m slightly obsessive and can tell when someone has moved something just an inch out of place, and the care they took to put things as they found them was not unnoticed. I must say, I was very impressed.
Wonderful company, great first apartment cleaning experience, and the nicest people. For those weeks I’m overwhelmed and just don’t have time to clean, I’ll definitely be using Team Clean again.
