Services offered at my clinical practice in Park Slope, Brooklyn in:

Chinese medicine sees each person as a unique individual. I combine this perspective with my experience treating and studying the human body for more than 20 years. I began developing my assessment skills through many years of dance training, exploration with Continuum movement, and practicing shiatsu. In treating patients, I balance a hands-on approach to healing with the intellectual orientation of Chinese and Western medicine resources.
The health issues which I focus on include:
* Chronic conditions
* Women’s health
o PMS
o Fertility
o Pregnancy
o Childbirth
o Menopause
Meet the Business Owner
Sally R.
Business Owner
I have been practicing acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine since 1998.
I graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in New York, after which I continued my education with many practitioners including Elaine Stern and Jeffrey Yuen. I am Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the NCCAOM. I trained at Lutheran Hospital (2007-08) in obstetrics, and subsequently became part of a study to reduce the number of miscarriages by using acupuncture during labor. I am a labor doula.
After graduating from PCOM, I opened a private practice and worked part-time as an acupuncturist for two years in substance-abuse clinics and at the Brooklyn Women’s Shelter and for six years at an HIV clinic. I have taught workshops in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and courses at PCOM and The New York College of Health Professions.
In my off hours, I practice kyudo (zen archery), pilates and yoga. Gardening, cooking and knitting/crocheting are among my passions.
