Worst salon ever Marina owner of the salon Russian Bitch! Hungry so much for money and ugly like men

Worst service ever. I came here after my neighbour recomendations and she even called herself to set up my appointment. I needed only to color my short hair, at the time Marina was done with me she had two customers more, so She told me to finish myself, blow dry not included,?? Actually she gave me hair dryer and went to work on other girl. I left cursing and without leaving a tip. And this place called Ritz, hah

I would give this salon zero stars if I could… but unfortunately that isn’t an option on Unilocal.I made an appointment for a Brazilian. When I arrived, the woman pulled me aside to explain that the woman doing the Brazilians couldn’t take me because she didn’t have any experience with, and I quote, «your kind» (I’m African-​American, they were Russian like my BF). Not really sure what difference it makes when you’re ripping out unwanted body hair… you smear on the wax and yank it out but meh, whatevs .I went to a spa/​salon down the street, where they did a smash up job and didn’t seem to have an issue with «my kind». The owner’s explanation was that the girl didn’t have a lot of experience (Well how on Earth do you get it?!), but I certainly was not willing to push the point nor beg them to take my money. For what it’s worth, I will say that I don’t think it was a racist encounter, more so a fear of the unknown. The «your kind» comment could have been a language thing that got lost in translation. Let’s hope.

I came in for a men’s haircut and they did a great job.
Will definitely be coming back.
Fair prices compared to salons in the area, and to Manhattan.

Great salon, fast and wonderful service. Attitude is normal for the area so expect that but its worth the end results. Prices are easy on the wallet, compared to Manhattan and even some salons in Brooklyn. Came in, got my very short hair into an updo and makeup done, all within 2 hours. Didn’t think I’d have half the results that Marina and Zhanna were able to accomplish. Received so many compliments on the day of the event from the guests, that it was incredible!

We came from California to Brooklyn for family wedding and have found this salon for makeup and hair dressers for our event. Zhanna and Marina had provided an excellent, professional service. We were very happy and beautiful in our big family event. What else do you need for big event … I will highly recommend they service for others. If any other event in Brooklyn you got me as a client. Thank you ladies.

I’m shocked there’s any bad reviews about this place. It seems that anyone that has something bad to write about the owner which is also my hair stylist is just jealous! Besides that she’s a beautiful woman, she works wonders on my hair. Knowing that they’re always busy gives me more reason as to why I choose to go there. This clearly means the hair dressers are doing something right. I would never go elsewhere!!!

Excellent service. Very talented hairdressers, professional and always aim to make you feel beautiful! Not sure what these bad reviews are about… but I’ve been going here for 10 years now and have never had a bad experience. The owner is very nice and works with a passion for her field. I would 100% recommend Ritz Look if you’re looking for quality and excellence!

Best salon ever!!! I have been going there for almost a decade and love all of their services. The manicures are always done just perfectly and so is the makeup. The salon is beautiful, always clean, and always has fresh coffee and tea alone with baked goods for the customers. The owner, Marina who is also my hair dresser is the best!!! Her hair cuts and blow-​drying skills are perfection, and people always ask me where I get my highlights because they look so nice. I love her work so much I fly in from Florida, because I only trust her with my hair.

Owner and hair stylists act elitist and disrespectful to their customers.
Expect a long wait no matter when your appointment is. They act like they are doing you a favor by taking you as a customer. Their work is decent but not worth the attitude and the prices that accompany it. Getting a haircut or style done should not be a stressful process. Take your money somewhere else! I definitely will.

I LOVE getting pedicures there!!! They do a wonderful job that lasts. I always leave feeling like a million bucks! ;-)
