Joseph Professional Beauty Salon

This was my first visit to this salon. I’m very pleased and satisfied with my haircut, Mr. Joseph is a very nice person and does a great professional job. Will definitely visit them again. Recomended.

I came in as a walk in on a Saturday and they took me in. They were very nice and i didn’t have to wait too long. Even though there was a person waiting after me my stylist (the stylist from Istanbul) still took his time and did a great job. He gave me a great cut and styled my hair. During the wait masha treated me to some good tea and candy. Those who read other reviews Oleg is not there anymore.

As the previous reviewer mentioned, OLEG is the one who gets all the five stars for this salon. I’ve tried short haircuts with all kinds of stylists before — male and female, young and not so young, hip and classy, straight and gay, working in big luxurious salons and in their improvised small home studios — never had that feeling of «I-never-knew-I’m-so-hot-and beautiful» that Oleg achieved with his artistry. Never have I had such a flawless «mess» on my head which always looks sexy-​wild and high-​end polished at the same time. Yes, like the previous reviewer I forgot about combing my hair for a couple of years ever since Oleg cuts my hair. And yes again, HE IS THE ONE! I wish with all my heart that he gets better soon and comes back to work — I can’t imagine going elsewhere for a cut now, and very soon nobody would believe my review looking at me.
The rest of the staff is not worth mentioning. Even the owner, Joseph himself, was not qualified to give my 8-​year old son a descent simple haircut, I had to re-​do it myself at home. Just mediocre boring style, poor quality of work and service. Not to mention «soviet» attitude to clients from Russian ladies working there (not sure about their English language skills). Some turkish guys are much nicer, but don’t speak a word in English or Russian.
And by the way, who put this place in that «super-​duper-​high price range?» I am paying $ 60 for my cut, I would say it’s more in the average price bracket, if not below.

If you want to reinvent yourself but not quite sure know what will look good on you go to this salon and ask for OLEG. I’ve been following this guy for 9 years now. I came to him with geeky medium long nothing to remember about haircut and after 1 hour I had über-​cool look. He shows his best skills in short to medium long haircuts although I’ve seen many customers with long hair coming to him as well. I like it because he cuts my hair different length on top so when going out I could look «punky/​wild» and during the day it looks neat but cutting edge/​fashionable. He is very precise. First he cuts, then blow drys then cuts again to perfection. His haircuts are easy to maintain. I never comb my hair. Just put little gel in the morning and it looks great. Also once it grows the haircut doesnt loose shape.
I tried various salons in the city out of curiosity. Many of those were Japanese ones because they are good at giving choppy/​funky hairstyles but nobody was quite as good as Oleg. He is the ONE!
