Used to be my go-to place, but now I find they do a rushed and sloppy job — Today, I called to book 2 mani-pedis– and when I got there the owner said I had to wait over 1 hour since they were busy. When I made the appointment 3 hours ago and he said it was no problem — trekked through the snow only to find out he wasnt honoring appt. LAMECUSTOMERSERVICE

Went in for a mani pedi mon-thu special for $ 28. The staff were friendly to start with. The filing of all nails was as if she couldn’t be bothered! When I got home I realised my nails were very coarse & she hadn’t given them a smooth edge at all. It all seemed very rushed. As I paid & gave a tip of 12%(generous considering the service) & said thank you she said nothing. Then she turned very rude. When she’s finished the manicure she grunted as she lifted her head in the direction of the dryers. I then waited at the dryers, took my own tissue off feet, walked back over to pedi station to get boots & coat. As I left I said thank you again to be given a sniff!!! & the guy who owns the place who sat at the front of the store just managed to lift his head from the iPad! Whilst I was there another woman walked in to join her friend at the pedi station. She was pounced upon for a massage & seemed like she couldn’t say no. Such a disappointment! Will not be going back.

Roped into a Mani-Pedi by my sister, who insisted on paying, I was game. What I got for $ 27.50 was a slightly aggressive and sloppy nail clipping. Not my first M/P. Last time my sister was in town we went to Pinky’s, and I left feeling like a new man, with buffed nails and good looking feet. My fingers, toes, hands and feet neither feel or look better than when I walked in, nor was the experience at all fun or relaxing. I think it lasted about 20 minutes. You get what you pay for, usually, but not in this case.

I never experienced a worse salon. The staff is beyond rude to customers. Particularly the gentleman. The tools were not clean and the service was rushed and sloppy. I have tried this place twice based on friends recommendations and will clearly not return. I also left a message to speak with the manager and if they do reply I will update this review accordingly.

Terrible manicure. The guy literally globbed on the polish so thick that more than an hour after being fully dry(with quick dry!) I could stick my other nail into it and easily make a dent. I took the polish off same day it looked so thick and ugly, what a waste of money!

Decent quick pedicure and nice massage. Their massage chairs are pretty nice, but in addition to that during my pedicure, I asked for a neck and shoulder massage while I dried my pedicure. I was not disappointed. She focused on those two spots and used a nice amount of pressure. Decent pedicure in the area with reasonable prices.

I came here today in an attempt to get my acrylic nails removed. After a lot of confusion over why I would ever want to do that, why wouldn’t I just get a fill they finally began. The man the task got passed off too hacked off my tips, things flying all over the place. In the past I’ve always had acrylic soaked off, but much to my surprise he whipped out an old looking metro card and just started violently prying one off. It was so painful i involuntarily whipped my hand away. Still in shock I asked to get them soaked off(I was always told this was safer), but while he walked away to get the acetone I realized I no longer trusted this place and excused myself. Worst nail salon experience ever, and that’s without even including the beyond gross décor and apparent level of cleanliness.

Stopped here on my way home from work as I was in need of a quick mani/pedi for an event the next day. It cost $ 30(+tip) for mani/pedi(midweek), short massages, décor needs updating. I didn’t think the service came anywhere close to the $ 30 they charged.

My daughter and I got pedicures here for a fun outing. Kids pedicure is only $ 13, and mine was $ 21. I thought it seemed lovely, but admittedly this was only my second time in a nail salon. I liked the weird massage chair, and the ladies were friendly.

I like this place, nothing fancy, just your average nail salon. You can ask for Amy who does a manicure in 15 minutes flat but does a fantastic job. Manicure lasts very long and nails don’t chip. I’m guessing they change nail polishes often and dont just let them sit there. I gave four stars only because I think 10 bucks for a mani is just a little pricey.

This is not my favorite nail salon in the hood but I do go there if I need a mani and I don’t have time to walk the 4 blocks to Ocean Nail. These guys are just around the corner from my place. I think Pearl needs an update in décor. That drying station is horrible. It’s not a marvelous pampering experience. However, their manicures last a freakishly long time!!! Not sure why, but it’s amazing. I am a nurse and I wash my hands nonstop at work. And these manicures last a at least a week everytime.

It has been 4 days since my manicure and none of the nails have chipped — which is very impressive. The place itself is nothing special and looks like any other nail salon. The manicures are $ 10 and the pedicures are $ 20 which is reasonable for city prices but you can walk down a few block on court street and pay exactly half of that. The service will be worse and your nails are more likely to chip and be sloppy but you get what you pay for. I would come back here but mostly because of a lack of better options.

before pearl nails opened i’ve been to every nail salon in parkslope, carroll gardens and even flatbush. i’ve been gettin my nails done here at pearl nails since it opened about 4 years ago. i get acrylic tips done by linda and they last a good 3 weeks which is very rare especially for me.

Your average hole-in-the-wall nail salon, I guess. $ 20 for a basic pedicure, plus a dollar if you want your dead skin scraped off via razor(I do, always). Decent polish job. I’d give this three stars but not all places bust out the(much-needed in my case) razor.

This is what a nail shop should be. Large, clean space. Good selection of nail polish colors. Great massage chairs. All the latest gossip rags to peruse. I usually just go for a pedicure. I think it’s $ 17? They’ll do a 10 minute leg/foot massage with that for an extra 8 bucks(if it’s not too busy). There’s also enough staff on hand that I usually don’t have to wait more than a few minutes to get served. UPDATE: Pedicures got hiked up to $ 20. Booooo. And what happened to my girl Cherry?
