I had never boarded my dog before and had all kinds of reservations. I contacted Ilana and she definitely put my mind at ease. When it came time to use her services, we met her and the pack that was currently staying with her. My puppy was greeted with wagging tails and Ilana’s super calm voice. I left my puppy feeling comfortable and at ease. She posts videos and photos on the company Instagram, so I was able to check up when necessary. My puppy ended up making new friends and was well taken care of. Most places charge a minimum of $ 65-​$ 75, which is less than what PSP charges. It’s a steal with a smaller pack and a special individualized attention to your furchild. I highly recommend and will be reusing this company again!

I highly recommend Park Slope Pups! The owner (Ilana) truly cares about dogs. She understands them and finds joy in spending time with them. I know my dog is in good hands when she’s with Ilana.
I also appreciate that Ilana runs her business in a way that works really well with my schedule and my lifestyle. She checks in with me each Sunday to plan the walk schedule for the week, she’s flexible, she keeps things simple, if I need a walk when she’s not available she finds another walker, she’s incredibly reliable, and she goes above and beyond (she once helped me plan my dog’s walk around some ceiling repair that had to be done in my apartment). We communicate by text and I can reach her anytime.

We had been looking around for a good within walking distance daycare since we moved to Park Slope. What a blessing we found in Ilana and Park Slope Pups. Our 18 month old cockapoo mix goes there for daycare now and the greatest indication of how good Ilana is, is that when he realizes where we’re going, he drags me up the street to her apartment and cries when I pick him up to leave. Definitely our go-​to daycare option. Ilana is so accommodating and flexible, and I really feel comfortable leaving my pup with her. She also uploads pictures to instagram so I can check in on my dog while I’m at work, and it’s super comforting knowing she enjoys taking care of him. Perfect for an in-​denial helicopter mom like me.

I don’t work out of the house often but when I do it’s such a comfort to know Ilana is there to give him a break from being inside. She’s so friendly, and warm it seems natural she’s a dog person.

Our baby boy Frenchie has been going to Ilana/​Park Slope Pups since he was just a few months old (He’s still only 10 months) and we absolutely love them! Leo goes twice a week for daycare and we have also used them for boarding quit a few times. He gets so excited to go every time and never wants to leave Ilana and all his puppy friends so we know he is in great hands. Whether we are at work or away we never worry about Leo when he is being taken care of by Ilana and her team. It is clear how much they love our boy and all the other dogs they take care of. Pickup and drop off are very easy and Ilana is nice, laid back and accomodating. Can’t say enough great things!

Ilana has been walking our little beagle mix Raleigh since February 2015, and we’re so thankful we found her! Ilana’s daily visits with our dog provide us with peace of mind while we’re at work in knowing that Raleigh is getting the exercise, interaction and fresh air she needs. Ilana has always been flexible with our last minute walking requests, and did a great job watching her while we were out of town for a weekend. We absolutely love Park Slope Pups! Ilana has been walking our very energetic Lab mix, Lola since the spring of 2014 and we are so glad to have such a caring and wonderful dog-​walker! I always know that Lola will be taken care of, and it makes me so happy to think of how excited she is each day to get her walk with Ilana! PSP clearly loves the dogs that they walk and they take great care of each one. Like the other reviews say, the scheduling is easy and Ilana and PSP are really accommodating, but what makes PSP so great is the love and special care they give to every dog. It’s fun to follow PSP on Instagram to see their other dogs, and I would highly recommend Park Slope Pups!

We love Park Slope Pups. We first used Ilana for boarding over Christmas and our puppy loved going so much that we started takin him for daycare once a week. Its extremely clear how much she loves every dog she takes care of. She’s super friendly and easy going. I highly recommend her!

I’ve been using Park Slope Pups since April 2015 and this is the easiest 5 star review I’ve ever given. ilana has proven to be flexible, accommodating, and most important loving towards my dog. I’ll never forget the second or third time I left my dog there, she posted a picture on instagram of both of them laying in bed and cuddling. It’s one thing to have someone just babysit your dog, but the affection and love ilana and her crew have proven to show is a whole new level of amazing. When my dog Vail realizes we are going to ilana’s, she gets more excited walking down that hallway then she does for treats. If you’re reading this, don’t look anywhere else and give her a call.

I couldn’t be happier using Park Slope Pups’ dog walking service. My dog is noticeably happier on the days after his walks with Alan (who leaves us notes regarding walks, potty happenings). Ilana is really responsive and lovely to interact with regarding schedule changes and even random dog questions! Really flexible with my ever changing schedule, etc! I would definitely recommend to all in the neighborhood!

We adopted our pup, Ollie, in April 2014 and have used Ilana services for daycare and boarding ever since. He has some separation anxiety issues stemming from being a stray (and possibly abandoned) before coming to us, so daycare was the best option so he could be around people and dogs while we are at work.
Ilana has always been flexible with scheduling, both in terms of pickup/​dropoff, and last minute scheduling. Now we can leave Ollie for the day without worrying, knowing that he’s going to have a great day full of walks, playtime with other dogs, and plenty of cuddles.
I would highly recommend Park Slope Pups for any of their services. We’ll be moving out of the city and looking for new daycare, and will definitely miss Ilana and her team!

I’ve used Park Slope Pups for over a year now and couldn’t be happier. We called Ilana on short notice after our dog adoption was processed and she was able to set us up with a regular walker within a day. Since then, they’ve been nothing but reliable even in the worst of weather situations.
Ilana and all of the walkers are crazy dog people like us, and it’s very comforting knowing that our pup will be in good hands when we leave for the day. We also used the dog boarding service for a weekend and Ilana was very accommodating. It was great knowing Lucy wouldn’t be tucked away in a kennel all night, and instead getting to play with people and dogs alike.
TL;DR — PSP is an amazing service and if you have a pup that needs some care while you’re not around you should give them a call.

Ilana and her team of puppy players are my pug’s new best friends. She’s very sweet and easy to schedule with and clearly loves dogs. I’m a new dog owner and I have to get over a lot of smothering impulses with my puppy, but I feel good about leaving my puppy’s health and safety with them. Whatever it is they do all day, my dog seems happier and more confident when we leave, so I know she gets the exercise and attention she needs.
Case in point: my puppy’s recent spay surgery coincided with a big project at work and I was faced with a dilemma — leave my (week+) recovering pooch alone and miserable and bored one night or have her stay with Ilana. I’m super glad I did. Not only did my dog get some much needed love and attention, Ilana kept her in a safe activity level and let me know her progress throughout the day. Win+win!
I don’t have much of a frame of reference, but even if there are fancier or more stimulating day cares out there, I already know that I have a place I trust with Park Slope Pups and that’s the most important factor to me.

I had a miserable experience with a different dogwalking company, and I emailed Ilana desperate. She called me within a few minutes, and we set up a dogwalker for my dog on Thursdays. Alan came every week and was responsive to texts, as was Ilana — even though she wasn’t my particular walker. I highly, highly recommend these guys! Reliable, helpful, accommodating — A+!

Ilana has watched our dog Tobias a few times, once when we first got him and again this month. I really like that when he stays at her place he isn’t in a cage and he gets to socialize with other dogs all day and go out on walks. I also liked that when we dropped him off this last time he went into to her arms, no problem.
Apparently our dog is one of their favorites, and I trust that he gets plenty of affection when he’s there. I feel great leaving him with her, and I would consider having her walk our dog too.

Ilana is super sweet and my dog loves her. She was always available last minute– but that and a few other things led me to believe that my dog wasn’t getting the full 45 minute walk I was paying for. She also didn’t show up once or twice. We had communication issues also, as I recently adopted my dog and wanted updates on how the walks went but seldom got any update unless I badgered her. Maybe we had issues because we only used her every once in a while and didn’t have a regular schedule. I really hate to leave a bad review because as a personal Ilana is wonderful and is truly great with dogs.

Update:
We moved to Washington Heights from Brooklyn and will still take that hour subway ride to board our puppies. They really are the best.
I have a cute little westie puppy who gets so excited every time we get near Park Slope Pups because he loves going there so much.
We’ve boarded him at another place for one night and he had the worst time ever. he was all alone in a kennel (which is normal) but took it very hard and refused to eat.
But when he gets boarded at Park Slope Pups, he is the happiest puppy. He eats, he plays, and usually comes home exhausted and ready to sleep. We LOVE going there and refuse to board him overnight anywhere else. The hours are great, we can enjoy an evening out and still get him for the night.
Ilana is wonderful with him and he loves her so much…
I really can’t recommend them enough. If you want to have your puppy/​dog somewhere that feels like home with friendly people, bring them here.

I ended up dropping PSP to look for another service. We had communication issues and my pup would often get walked 30 mins to an hour outside the time window we asked for. The bathroom door was left open in my apartment from time to time, which is a big problem as my dog loves to get into bathroom trash and spread it all over the apartment. Not a terrible walker but I felt I could find better; so far it’s been a good experience with Dog Walking for Rainforests.

Park slope pups is awesome! Ilana does a great job with my little hound doggie and when I travel for work I feel great knowing sir poops a lot is in her hands!
If you are looking for a dog walking service in the area I highly recommend Illana and joe, if you don’t believe me I’m sure my doggie can verify !!!

Park Slope Pups! I love these guys. I have a very large mastiff, aptly named Titan, and he can be a handful. I’d gone through 2 other walking services who actually ended up dropping me as a client after a few weeks because Titan can be a bit of pain in the neck when he walks. Now I was a little skeptical when I met petite Ilana because I honestly believe my dog weighs more than her! But I was proven way wrong. After 3 months of daily walks, Ilana has actually taught my extra large pup how to walk way more calmly for her and with me as well!
The rates are inline with the rest of the dog walkers in the neighborhood but the service is tops! I love the daily updates on Instagram, it’s a super easy way for me to check up on my Titan while I’m grinding it out at the office. They’ve also pulled through for me on many late night last minute walks, which I’m always grateful for.
