I’m Mark Ellison and I’m a NYC-​based headshot /​portrait photographer and cinematographer. As a NYC headshot /​portrait photographer, I specialize in providing portrait and headshot photography and cinematography for everything from magazine covers to executive headshots to portfolio shoots for actors, actresses, musicians, and models.

Business Owner

I’m a photographer, cinematographer, and part-​time superhero enjoying life in the apex of the East Coast. For me, NYC is the latest stop on a series of stops and stays all over the place. No matter where I go, I’m fighting bad guys and taking their headshots as I go.

My intro to photography was purely accidental. One class short of graduating in Computer Science, I took a Photo 101 class thinking it would be an easy grade. I graduated and worked in corporate America behind a mountain of computer servers for years but I never forgot the excitement and life that I felt from that Photo 101 class. Fast forward to today, I’ve given up the corporate lifestyle and went back to what I truly love. I’ve never turned back since and, if I can help it, never will.

Even though my love is photography and cinematography, I enjoy the finer things in life: Converse shoes, hip hop music, cigars from the DR, cold Hefeweizens, and a thick book on HTML5 and PHP (I am Computer Science major… just saying).
