I love this place. The shop is full of very carefully selected beauty products and antiques and other items — all from local artists and entrepreneurs.
The yoga instructors are amazing. I’ve never been disappointed in any of the classes.
The owners are extremely kind and have displayed a deep love for community and friendship. God bless them, God bless Locale.

Great experience browsing the shop, lots of beautiful and fragrant things. Very soulful place. I purchased a christmas gift for my sister as I enjoyed some lovely jazz music in the background. Don was generous enough to beautifully package and wrap the gift for me. They’re the cool guys in the neighborhood. A must visit.

Great boutique yoga studio with small class sizes and an intimate setting. Awesome instructors and a nice variety of different classes to keep it interesting. I love the vinyasa wine down candlelit class. Great for unwinding after work. Its like yoga and happy hour rolled up in one.

UPDATE!!! Went today and have been by several times. I could not be more impressed with the change in operations. They have become consistent with their hours. And as always the service is impeccable. This is a must stop spot in Bed Stuy. Also, I picked up a cute pair of copper earrings. Yay!

I just took a yoga class here and really enjoyed my experience! I’m just a beginner but my instructor, Teresa, did a wonderful job of making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable at their own skill level. The yoga studio is very small and can probably only fit about 6 people maximum, but I really liked the intimate environment. It was easy to see and hear the instructor no matter where you were sitting. They have free community classes once a week, which is what I attended, and you can rent a mat for $ 2. I can’t wait to go back!

Thrilled to see this open in the neighborhood. The people who run it are welcoming, and their commitment to fair trade, handcraft, creative reuse and imaginative refurbishment (to coin a clunky phrase!) make this pace warm and inviting. The spinning record helps, too! Thanks to Don for parting with the gorgeous nightstand he loved into shape and sold us at a bargain.
