I ordered a ½ sheet kosher cake for a retirement party at work. The cake was beautiful and everybody commented on how good it was, The price was typical for a cake this size, but the quality was OUTSTANDING. Thank you Gombo’s!

Stopped in on a weekday morning. Had four various donuts, all were excellent and tasted very fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. Place was clean.

This place is completely Kosher which is great. They have a large variety of yummy baked goods. And they have hot coffee for only $ 1 and also a large variety of frozen drinks. Only downside is no seating inside the bakery but you can usually find a bench right outside to sit and eat at. Staff is helpful and courteous.

The pastries look great & taste great. The iced coffee is alright & the service is okay too. I got the chocolate«U» shaped pastry & it’s really yummy. It reminds me of Israel. I think their style of bakery is very Israeli style which is nice :)

I found the pastries here to be really stale. I bit into something that tasted at least a week old. Yuck

I rarely write reviews, but I honestly can’t stop thinking about how good this bakery is. Some of the best pastries I’ve ever had. Every Sunday my boyfriend and I wake up in eager anticipation of a Gombo’s pastry and coffee(which I make at home, they’re coffee isn’t great unfortunately). Amazing rugelach, and more, but my favorite is the apple turnover. The stuff dreams are made of.

Went here today with a few friends after work, the place smells amazing and everyone working was knowledgeable and helpful, even the older lady customers were helpful and very sweet! I walked out with a giant bag of fresh and delicious goodies for only $ 25! It’s worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood or a detour if you’re not :)

Solid challah bread in an assortment of sizes. They also have some pretty good chocolate chip cookies.

This place is the only proper kosher bakery in Crown heights. That being said their service is lackluster. Overall good products but they don’t know how to make custard at all. Stick to the Heimushe baked goods.

The smell always escape onto the sidewalk. If you have a sweet tooth craving, this is a good place to try. Fresh bites and nibblers. It normally is super crowded like a hangout. If you go early it’s better.(While everyone is in school) Yummy crusty creations. Always fresh cakes as well.

This place is amazing. Beautiful display of Jewish sweet baked goods(they also carry a couple of non-sweets, like bagels, but I haven’t tried them). The rugelach is incredible, as are the almond horns, chocolate croissants and, well, everything that I’ve tried so far. Also surprisingly cheap.

There is never anyone in this adorable kosher bakery at 8am on weekdays. And the cashier is always nice to me. I don’t know what rude customers people are talking about. Everything seems to cost $ 2. There is no longer a free coffee deal. if you go, get the cream horns. They are amazing. The babka is great. The rugelach is pretty good too.

This is my go-to bakery for rugelach. I take dancing classes nearby, and one day I walked by and decided on a whim to go inside and buy something. I was not disappointed. This bakery has the best rugelach I’ve had so far in the city, and it’s incredibly affordable. I bought several of the small rugelach, and what I think was a large one; it resembled a chocolate croissant, but it wasn’t quite the same. Both the small and the large were absolutely delicious, and if I remember right I spent less than $ 5 on all of it. The man behind the counter was very nice, and although there were a few rude customers in front of me, being indecisive and generally acting like they were the only customers, he quickly rang up my order because he saw that I was ready. I plan on returning here frequently whenever the rugelach urge hits me. It’s not open late on Fridays or Saturdays for the Jewish Sabbath, which is a downside for me, but I can’t really deduct any stars for that. Overall just a really great bakery with perfect prices.

Woah. Almond horn revelation. They don’t always have almond horns but they do right now and sweet day in the morning this is the best Almond horn I have ever tasted period. The crust is crisp and lacy and the inside is a smooth creamy Marzipan lava flow that is absolutely addictive. I happen to know a thing or two about Almond Horns. They’ve been a favorite of mine since grade school, when they were an occasional after-school snack at the long-gone Leo’s Coffee Shop on 86th Street. I used to buy the frequently-stale ones from the equally long-gone 24-hour bakery that was nestled under the elevator to the 74th Street Roosevelt Avenue — Jackson Heights train station before it was renovated. I’m perfectly happy eating the OK not the best but still good ones from Moishe’s on Second Avenue and I’m delighted to find a delicate-but-identical version of what I always think of as a Jewish delicacy at Ferraro’s. I know this New York cookie. These are the best Almond horns ever. Drop. Dead. Amazing.

Just went there for the first time last week. We got the chocolate croissant and some bagels. The chocolate croissant was THEBESTCHOCOLATECROISSANT I’VEEVERHADINMYLIFE! It was almost like a cinnamon bun only in the sense that the chocolate was swirled on every layer, and it was just the most delicious treat ever. The bagels I didn’t care for. They tasted like challah bread, but a bagel. I really prefer a traditional NY bagel. But that’s not going to stop me from returning! I’ll just stick with the sweet treats. GO! And seriously get the chocolate croissant.

Good Babka. Way too crowded with too many rude folks.

I try to stay away from this place because everything in it is so delicious. It truly feels like a bakery in Yerushalayim. Customer service isn’t so good, but that’s typical of Kingston Ave. shops, and not a good reason not to frequent this place. Would love to see more baked goods made without trans fats.

This place is like a kid’s wonderland. And it’s incredibly affordable. The rugelach was the best I’ve had and the girl behind the counter was very patient with all our questions. I’m going to be walking over a lot in the summer!

I would pay this bakery a visit whenever I’m around this neighborhood for work. Everytime I pass by this bakery, I would usually stop in and grab something. I recommend their rugelach, glazed with powder sugar. They have mini or regular sizes. The mini ones are $ 5.99/lb. The regular is $ 1.25(if i’m not mistaken). Their cupcakes are pretty good as well, along with other of their pastries. Worth giving a try if you are around the neighborhood.
