I only come in here for beef patties with coco bread. In fact I’ve only ever visited their locations here in Brooklyn and back in Charlotte for the same quick snack and I’ve honestly never been disappointed. Unfortunately I live near way too many West Indian /Caribbean restaurants to stop into this location to try other menu options but whenever I need a quick spicy patty before I hop on the train or as I’m walking home from the train, you can’t beat this place. Quick filling snack and the service is typical.

Golden Krust credits itself as the # 1 Caribbean chain in the United States. It’s Jamaican patty fast food, which would be great if most of its locations weren’t surrounded by better, one-shop enterprises. Still, they have their veggie and soya patties, and a longer list for the meat eaters, and they have a little selection of other options. The prices aren’t bad, 1.70 for the veggie patty, and the service is quick. But I’d like to see a «Caribbean chain» when my only other options are Arby’s or Chipotle. Complete with jibaritos, patties, and roti. But until then, Golden Krust will be a rare respite from the mom-and-pop shops next door.
