I should have listened to the other reviews. I went there on Thursday to get a Keratin treatment because they has it advertised for $ 100 on Wednesdays and Thursdays; when I went in the owner was there speaking to an older gentleman. I asked how much it cost for the Keratin just to be sure and she answered $ 100, OK, so far so good; then I ask if she accepts credit or debit and she answered no, even though on the window it clearly states she does. After, a quick trip to the ATM I come back and she starts washing my hair while still speaking to the older man. When she started blow drying she started telling me that in the city Keratin treatments are over $ 600 dollars and that she is really losing money by doing it for this price. Then she asked for more money, after my hair was washed, dried and there was treatment in it! Why would she advertise a special price when she didn’t plan on honoring it? We agreed on another price and I continued the treatment.(I really had no choice since it was already in my hair!) She left to park her car, so someone else blow dried my hair the second time. Now, I myself am Dominican and have been going to Dominican hair salons my entire life, believe me when I say she badly burned my scalp, and even after I complained she kept going. In the end, my hair did look nice but it’s was not worth it; this place is extremely unprofessional, the owner is a liar, and I WILLNEVER be going there again.

I read everyone’s post and while I do agree the wait is long and they can be more professional i disagree with quality. I have been coming here for years and this place is your typical neighborhood Hispanic hair salon. I get there early they order breakfast I order breakfast, we talk laugh joke about whats going on in the world while I get my hair done at a fair price. The best blowouts and roller sets ever — for $ 25 – 35 can’t go wrong. The HAIRANDSPASALONS charge you double the price for the same hair process because they offer you a magazine and water. If thats what you call more professional I will stick with my Franchezka I get greeted with a kiss and a hug and we chit chat and we laugh and my fair ALWAYS looks fantastic. Everyone else who is not used to neighborhood hair salons should stick with the living social deals and their hair spas. I have had my hair dyed, highlighted, cut, the works and never let feeling cheated like I have at Hair Spas that charge you 60 for a hair cut and they dont even wash your hair unless you pay extra.

I went to this salon because the prices were cheap compare the hair and spa salon I normally go too. Never again, the owner did my highlights and left the chemicals too long that my hair is dry and damaged. The waiting and getting your hair done is way too long. The owner and her other two hair stylists were very unprofessional. I shall stay at my hair & spa location, they are expensive but at least they never damaged my hair and are very respectful & professional. This salon I recommend that people AVOIDIT!!!
