Specialties
We offer group guitar classes and private lessons for children, teens and adults. We have 2 locations — Park Slope, Brooklyn & Midtown Manhattan (New York Guitar Academy).
Our group classes are 8 weeks long and meet once a week for 1-hour with 2 to 5 students. The price is $ 250.
We offer absolute beginner, intermediate and advanced classes in general guitar.
We also have specialty classes for absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced students in Spanish Classical, Flamenco, Jazz, Slide and Blues guitar.
We offer private lessons -, one-on-one instruction. We offer 30-minute sessions, 45-minute sessions and 1-hour sessions. SPECIAL! Take a trial half hour lesson for $ 35!
We offer live video on-line lessons. These are private lesson that are taken through either Skype or Google Video Chat.
History
Established in 2009.
Jason and Elysa Hochman (A Married Couple) are a seasoned Spanish Guitar Duo. In 2009 they decided to dedicate their life to the guitar and opened up New York Guitar Academy. Now in it’s 4th year, NYGA has 2 locations (Manhattan and Brooklyn), many great teachers specializing in specific guitar styles and their wonderful office director, Sorcha Rirchardson. Elysa and Jason are performers and instructors of Spanish, Flamenco, Classical, Acoustic and Electric guitar. They are the founders of Brooklyn Guitar Academy.
