Enjoy My Bagels

I feel like people who gave low reviews are cranky and/​or used to really bougie places. I have lived in the neighborhood for 5+ years and this is my GO TO spot for bagels, sandwiches, fresh juices, coffee and the best guys ever. Now they do fresh pressed juices which are delicious and super healthy. When I was sick at home in bed and called for delivery they sent me an orange on the house I mean who does that anymore? Go here for good old Brooklyn neighborhood food with a smile.

This place is the worst. Sub-​par food for double the going prices.
Figured I’d pick my go-​to cheap lunch here: a salami and cheese sandwich, mayo, mustard. You know, the kind that go for between $ 3 and $ 4.
Put in my order, pick it up, guy says $ 6.00. What? That’s like nearly double what it should be. Better be one HELL of a salami and cheese sandwich…
It wasn’t. Hey guys, just because mustard is cheap and mayo is a little less cheap doesn’t mean you have to put a cup of mustard and a tsp. of mayo on your sandwiches.
Avoid this ripoff joint. There are plenty of other delis within a block or two.

This is one of the best bagel places in all of sunset park, possibly Brooklyn! With a wide selection of delicious breakfast treats. I always go standard with the everything bagel with cream cheese, scallions duh! I’ve always enjoyed the bacon, egg and cheese many a time. They always deliver very quickly, don’t wait a minute more, order now!

I’m absolutely shocked by the low ratings of Enjoy My Bagels. I think they deserve a solid 3.5. I’ve been going to this spot for a little over 2 years now and overall have been satisfied with their service. I generally find myself here in the morning for a hot tea and/​or bagel before work. They have a large variety of cream cheeses. A great one that sticks out in my mind is cheddar bacon, mmm mmm delicious. I must admit they have gotten my tea order wrong a few times. They’ve left out the cream that I requested but nothing major.
The sandwiches here are great. They also have a cooler with pre-​made wraps, pasta salads, green salads, fruits, and yogurts. They also have lots of different beverages including beer!
I can’t end this review without mentioning the Philly cheesesteak I picked up today after work. It was packed full of wonderful flavors! It had juicy steak, peppers, and cheese. The bread was nice and toasted yet soft at the same time. If you’re ever in the area and looking for a filling sandwich check out the Philly cheesesteak at Enjoy My Bagels!
O yea and the service is consistently friendly. One final con is that there is a $ 7 minimum on cards but nonetheless still a great place.

I am shocked this place has such a low rating. The iced coffee and breakfast sandwiches here were literally a factor in me moving down the block.
THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST ICED COFFE EVER. My usual is a larger ice coffee with just a little sugar & milk.
The bagels are fresh often and prices are reasonable. My favorite is a toasted cinnamon raisin with scallion cream cheese and strips of bacon.
Highly underrated.

The staff are nice, maybe because we’ve gone there A LOT in the last year when our business moved down to Industry City. The bagels are decent. Cheesesteak on a bagel is where it’s at, but sometimes it can be REALLY greasy.

All food establishments should be consistently cognizant about cleanliness and hygiene. It’s a given, right? Especially with routine hand washing.
I walked into Enjoy My Bagels and immediately noticed the guy behind the counter counting his precious one dollar bills from a plastic tip jar. Okay, fine. It wasn’t busy. However, after I placed my order he merely put one glove on without washing his hands. I knew the moment was near when I’d walk out. Although he managed to place two sliced bagels into a toaster with only the glove hand, he got really sneaky afterwards. When he took the toasted bagels in the back corner to prepare the egg and cheese I got suspicious. Sure enough I caught him as I peaked around the corner handling the cheese and the bagels with his none glove hand. Disgusting! I mean really thoughtless and repulsive for a place in the food business. Right from the get-​go he should have washed his contaminated hands after handling money. I blatantly called him out on it and he just looked at me like I ascended from the pits of hell. And, yes, I walked out… rather stomped out in complete disgust. I have no tolerance for dirty practices that contribute to cross contamination, especially after one handles filthy money and neglects to scrub his filthy mitts.
If that’s how unmindful Enjoy My Bagels is with handling food, they should either have that «A» rating stripped from the window or simply and quietly tuck their tail between their legs and close the business for good. It’s a shame because it’s the only bagel place within reasonable walking distance from where I am. I’ll gladly walk ten, twenty, thirty blocks for another bagel shop.

Rude, horrible service. The only redeeming thing about this place is the sweet & courteous delivery man who I tipped well.
No doubt he’s verbally abused daily by the owner far worse than I was! :-/​
Today was the second time I received a stale bagel. :’(When I called I was violently berated by a man who is VERY touchy about his cream cheese. He screamed over me while I calmly tried to inform him the bagel was the issue. I hung up because I was hungry and in no mood to be attacked over $ 4. Not two minutes later he called me back to retrieve crap food and refund my money.
Reflecting, it’s best my bagel was a rock. No doubt there were actual problems with the cream cheese as the freshness of their food is questionable. Probably would’ve made me ill. I will never eat here again. If I’m going to spend $ 10 before tip on tea and a bagel, it will be somewhere where the food is fresh and the service isn’t! :P

This place sucks. We asked for a panini and they gave us a cold sandwich wrapped in cold pita bread. Do they not understand the concept of a panini? I could’ve easily gotten what they gave me for 6 dollars instead of 9 that I paid for it here. And what I got Is not even what i wanted.

WHHHHY did I do it? Its hard not coming in here when you pass by everyday and it’s always empty. I guess that should be my warning, but no in a rush I ran in here so I can grab something, and decided not to grab my favorite water that costs $ 5 a liter here and $ 2.50 across the street but that place doesn’t sell breakfast. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. I asked them to scramble the eggs and make sure my bacon was well done/​extra crispy because I hate fatty bacon. The attitudes were in check today, so I also grabbed a KIND bar near the register for later.
Well, stupid me didn’t check until I opened it on the train and what did I get? A FRIED egg and fatty bacon, on an untoasted bagel?! Grrrraaagh! Seriously, eating here is like throwing your money in the garbage. Next time I have an urge to stop here I am just going to hand out $ 10 to the next passerby. Oh, and yes a KIND bar costs like $ 5 here too. I get overpricing, but they straight up ROB people. Sticking to the Diner on 39^th and 5^th for my breakfast fix, and the juice place on 39^th and 5^th for my KIND bars and healthy juice fix.
Notes to management:
Hire a better staff, probably women, so that at least your crappy food goes down with a smile.
Hire someone who knows how to cook and take orders. Special requests shouldn’t be an issue when it’s just to cook the item longer than usual.
Hire people who speak English well, or follow directions well. Everything bagel doesn’t mean plain.
CUSTOMER SERVICE. Learn what that means, apply it daily, to every customer.
Learn proper pricing. Sure you want to make a profit, but doubling the cost of every item isn’t the way to do it. You would probably make a lot of money with better service and wouldn’t need to rip off your customers to make up for all the money wasted on hiring people for your EMPTY store, and throwing out food no one wants to eat that probably goes bad on a weekly basis due to a lack of customers. Which is probably why you’re so hard up to refund (or remake) $ 5 orders that YOU messed up.
The only guy who gave this place a rave review probably works there. –_​_​–

I ordered from Seamless and apparently reviews if negative don’t show up on there.
I ordered delivery on a rainy day and thought I’d try somewhere new.
I ordered a bagel with tofu cream cheese and a iced coffee. Pretty simple.
Well I received a bagel with real cream cheese and a iced coffee with cream and sugar. Neither of which I can consume.
Tried having seamless help since they are the middle man. The had me on hold and once they talked to the guy here he refused to have any of it and refused to deliver the correct items or a refund.
Well he’s lucky it’s raining and the shop is 16 blocks from my apt other wise I’d return the items myself right at his head.
So wasted my money on these assholes but went to my old stand by Bagel express where if rarely there’s a mix up they are more than happy to correct with a smile.
So Enjoy my bagel, Enjoy my Fuck You!!!

Okay for lunch. Bad for breakfast. Tried to charge me double and gave me a look when I didn’t tip. After I got to work I noticed they screwed up my order. I’ve been here before and the service/​quality is consistently poor.

Horrible food and horrible service !!! Do not eat here !! Stale bagels, dry sandwiches unfortunately that store was the closest to my location.

This place serves spoiled cream cheese. I ordered veggie cream cheese on a toasted bagel. I walked out and took one bite as I was waiting for the train and found the veggies in the cream cheese spoiled — sour and nasty. I went in the next day and told them, and the guy said «that’s how it tastes.» He totally blew me off, was really rude. They refused to refund me. My advice to them: 1) do not serve spoiled cream cheese. 2) improve your customer service. My advice to everyone else: don’t eat here

Used to order from this place all the time, but they have seriously fell off! Ordered twice for delivery & they totally disappointed me. How can you mess up a BLT? Smh! I also ordered a medium hot chocolate, and it was WATERED DOWN! Sorry won’t give a penny to this place any longer.

On today’s visit they did not get the order wrong. However, they gave us such a miniscule amount of bacon on our sandwiches — the least I have ever seen — that I am subtracting a star

Bagel Review Only:
Walking into Enjoy My Bagels, I had high hopes as I eyed the location for a week when I would pass by in route to my destination.
Perched upon a nice corner location, EMB is relatively prominent in appearance from the outside. The inside had no customers, a small 2 top, reach in beverage coolers along the right wall, bagels and spreads on the opposite side, muffins to the rear. There is virtually no beverage they do not seem to stock and they have a great beer selection. (Blue Point-​Flying Dog-​Magic Hat) but merely an observance.
The offerings include Breakfast sandwiches, breakfast wraps, omelettes, burgers, hot hero’s. Not that I have a statistic to offer, but most bagel shops I have experienced rarely if ever strayed from their main focus, the bagel.
The bagel options are what we all have come to expect as to the choices., I went with an Everything, well toasted with pain cream cheese and as I grabbed the bag upon paying, the lightness of it was immediately noticed. When I opened up the wax paper, a very lightly toasted, undersized, bagel was staring back at me with no top down visual recognition of any cream cheese.
Not to my surprise, the cream cheese was so minimal in quantity it was if it was spread with a twig. This is even after the manager noticed me taking a few photos. The bagel was sadly a total disappointment.
To be fair I will review more items and update, as I feel (as I hope) I caught them on a bad bagel day.
