Sunset Bagels

We ordered a bagel and French toast with strawberries on GrubHub for a Valentines brunch. The order took an hour and 40 minutes to arrive. The updates on GrubHub were not accurate and the updates we were given when we called the store were not accurate. The bagel was burnt and cold, and the French toast was cold and did not include strawberries. We were told that the store called to inform us that they were out of strawberries, but since they did not leave a voicemail, we had no way of knowing this. This was a rather expensive order for an inedible bagel and an incomplete order of French toast. Will not be getting food from this restaurant again.

i usually order food for delivery. It usually does not take long to get my food but last night i decided to pick up at the 49^th street location and I have to say the Customer service was very dissapointing. The girl at the cashier named Leonora has a disgustingly unfriendly attitude as if she hates her job. I had ordered a simple cold cut sandwich and a salad at around 12 am and it was a terrible experience at this facility due to the nasty attitude of the cashier girl. Although, the service was horrible i will continue to order from here but maybe at an hour she does not work. Thankyou for your time.

Every time I order from here the food is always quick, delicious, their spicy bbq chicken quesadilla is to die for fresh quac and sour cream was amazing, this place never fails, after a wild night out of drinking and a hangover this food always hits the spot.

My go to place to eat in Sunset Park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are open 24hrs and they deliver. My favorite item is the pollo milanesa sandwich and the grilled chicken wrap. I’ve also catered from them when I have the boys over for poker night or football and their 6foot heroes do not disappoint and are always a crowd pleaser. Give them a try!

I love their chimis. Even tho they are not the same as Dominican chimis, but still pretty good. I recommend the chicken chimi. Enjoy! :d

Unfortunately I have to give this a low rating due to bad phone customer service. Most of the time I call to order I am kept on hold until the machine times out. This last time the person picked up and immediately put me on hold twice without saying a word and again let it go on until the machine automatically hung up on me. Not to mention whenever I do get an order placed they have to bring the machine to take cards and have forgotten the machine every single time even though I remind them. The food is nothing to brag about to make up for this or the high pricing. The only upside to this place relative to others is it is open 24 hours.

Horrible delivery and snarky employees you will deal with when they send you a gross sandwich they forget to put any dressing on and can’t figure out why dry sandwiches aren’t that tasty

They got a huge sign in their window that says they accept food stamps and ebt, smfh way to abuse the system

Usually the service is lousy, but tonight was not only bad if not deplorable. The person in charge of attend for people have no manners and is too rude to target customers even was with me. Pity that despite how expensive the cheese quesadilla is good.
Normalmente es pésimo el servicio, Pero Esta noche no solo fue malo si no deplorable. La persona encargada de atender a la gente no tiene modales y es demasiado grosera al dirigirse a los clientes incluso lo fué conmigo. Lástima por que apesar de lo costoso la quesadilla de queso es Buena.

If this was not the only bagel store in the neighborhood i probably would of never ordered here more then twice. Each time i order i convince myself to give them the benefit of the doubt but every time i am let down, all the way down, rock bottom. When i tell you they manage to mess up the order every time, i literally mean every time. Placing the order i feel like im trying to fill out a form at the dmv the person taking the order is always so confused and dosent understand English. OH and the portions are almost comical, I ordered a Philly cheese steak wrap one time and wen it came i literally laughed it was the size of an oompa loompas finger, legit 3 inchs long.

Horrible customer service. The girl behind the registered needs to be fired ASAP.
This place really needs a change in its management and staff.
Some of their food may be a decent but the staff and wait time is horrible for this place.
I would not recommend coming here for anything until the owner realizes he needs to make changes.

I have ordered from sunset bagels since it opened a while back. I stopped ordering about 2 years ago when the quality of the food really started getting bad.
I decided to order tonight and not only is the food bad… The portions are smaller and the prices are higher.
Probably another 2 years until I order again.

This was our go to spot for delivery. When i would get out of work late. Yes they made mistakes here and there but that is expected when ordering at 1am. This time the mistake was inedible. I tried calling and the girl who took my order was rude and obnoxious. All i wanted was the right order to be delivered and she refused and said they were too busy and can only give me a credit. I explained we can not eat this and now just wanted them to pick up the food and return out money. She also refused that option. Now i feel as if they robbed me of my monies. I will have to put a complaint in with the better business bureau i paid $ 19.33 and always tip $ 4 or more. I am not letting this go. We ordered here at least twice to three times a week and now i am disgusted. Never again.

i come here late night for some munchies and they never disappoint! I usually come for a veggie wrap or veggie burrito and it’s always hits the spot. I dont know what YOU GUYS expect from a 24 hour bagel/​diner spot but when its Saturday night and you’re fiending for some french fries then this place is your best friend.

Don’t order from sunset bagels. I think whether or not you are able to get your food ordered and delivered depends on who answers the phone, the weather or some unforeseen circumstance.
Tried to order on the phone and after being on hold for at least 10 minutes was hung up on three times and after finally putting my order in was called back after 3 hrs and told that we would not be able to get our order filled, because they require a 24 hour notice. I have ordered from this establishment several times before and have never been told about a 24 hour notice. Our order was for the next morning and we could’ve ordered somewhere else. Apparently they were short staffed and stated the person that wraps the food was not available. They are inconsistent about their ordering policy as I have had problems with this establishment before.

If I could give this poor excuse of a restaurant ZERO STARS I would. HORRIBLE customer service, overpriced. And an incompetent staff that has not once, not twice, but THREE times messed up my order. DO NOT give a single dime to these people.

The pancakes got no Taste so bland and no vanilla and it taste like what they fried on the grill before the did the hot cakes mine taste like nasty bacon everyone don’t eat pork or like that taste in their hot cakes I don’t recommend it the should be s bit more
Sanitary and don’t contaminate one food with another plus for the price they charge they should be more aware of they way the cook and their grill should be cleaned from meets to hot cakes is just nasty

The lil lady at the register is really nasty and disrespectful and not necessary.
In he window there is a help wanted sign for 4 different positions, cashier, delivery person, cook and something else, I can’t even recall.
I’m not surprised because they are soo nasty and rude and the food is not good either.

I’ve ordered from this establishment before and recieved great food and decent delivery time however as of late they have really fallen off their game I just ordered a mortadella on a roll with said expecting to get a great sandwich?, unfortunately not!!! I get a roll dry not mayo or mustard, no lettuce or tomato I called them back only to get the statement that unless you ask for it you don’t get it and brushed me of with that never again to expensive on to of that 10 $ !?! Seriously!?!

Ordered about a week and a half ago for the first time… not too shabby. I ordered chicken fingers with fries and I love that the fries are flakey although it makes no sense that fries cost almost as much as the chicken especially in Sunset Park. Ordered a second time, not bad, but as someone who feels awful when they oversupply me, I counted the ketchup packs and there were SEVENTEEN packs of ketchup plus BBQ and honey mustard sauce.
Called to order today and when they said $ 11.07 I thought «hmmm that sounds a little more expensive than previously, but I am hungry»…I get the food and the bill was $ 11.67…they charged $ 0.50 for the bbq sauce (this is all I specifically asked for not knowing I would be overcharged nor did I ask for honey mustard) and they also charged $ 1.00 for delivery which they didn’t charge previously nor did they mention it in the call!!! I cannot also help but wonder why they sent 17 packs of ketchup without request AGAIN (17 exactly, look at my photo) and yet charge me $ 0.50 for BBQ sauce without a warning of the extra charges! Never again!

La comida no esta mal, pero las cajeras y la gente que trabaja en el counter no saben o no entienden que el cliente es el que paga su salario y si no hay clientela no hay salario y por consecuente trabajo, la atención es pésima, si no quieren dar servicio al cliente que terminen la universidad, obtengan un diploma y un master degree por que como cashier o barista no sirven!!! se le comento al manager y dijo que iba a tomar cartas en el asunto, esperemos lo haya hecho. Solo una estrella porque los bagels estan buenos.
