Sounds like poor customer service is a theme here. Purchase a bedframe from DWR and it arrived missing crucial parts. When I tried contacting them, it took them 5 days to respond, and then I was told that the frame’s parts were«sold out» and I’d be sleeping on the floor for six weeks. For the price, I’d expect much, much better.

We’ve purchased a whole lot of furniture at this Brooklyn location and waited for it to be delivered. What we’ve got was: scratched furniture(the rep who sold it NEVER returned any calls), delivery delays up to 3 times of what was promised(no one ever tried to communicate) and finally our credit card was charged second time for almost every purchase we’ve made a month after the furniture was already delivered… We had to cancell the CC transactions eventually. This is not the service someone would expect from that kind of store.

Very disappointing service. I bought a dining table and chairs, and when the chairs came they were way too low for the table. I would expect a store that pretends to be high end to train their sales people better. The trouble was not over, as I tried to return the chairs. They have a fed ex pickup service, and the package has been waiting in my lobby for more than a week, and still has not been picked up. I spoke to 3 different sales reps and none of them helped me. I am still waiting to return the chairs. It was my first purchase there and I am not setting my foot in that store again.

If you like to pay top dollar for mediocre modern furniture, this is the place for you!

(First to review? How is that possible?) When I decided to redo my loft, I came upon DWR. Seems that almost everything they sell is my style(high-end wacky modern nonsense) but everything they sell is also at least twice as much as I feel like I should be spending on that particular item. I came upon a «sample sale» at their Brooklyn location and picked up a few things. Never thought I’d spend $ 300 on a lamp(especially not if I was buying TWO of them), but I guess you only live once. Yes, you only live once, and here, you live once with a lot less money than when you started. Update: Their Wassily chair is $ 1455. Room and Board’s Wassily chair is $ 649. Either I’m missing something, or I’m paying way too much for my furniture…
