Established in 2000.

Rubyzaar is a fair trade business owned & operated by two sisters raised in nyc… we work with select artisans, tailors, weavers & farmers from southeast asia & east africa paying livable wages & supporting sustainability. By bringing together our contemporary designs & their traditional techniques, we create unique products, all of which are handmade from all natural materials & dyes. It’s in our interest to preserve the tradition & quality of these crafts. We personally travel throughout these regions sourcing all raw materials & the people we work with. Absolutely nothing is produced in sweatshops! wear with pride…

Rubyzaar is brilliant idea No. 89 of Sarah & Molly Rubin, two wacky sisters from brooklyn, nyc, raised on classic rock and free to be you & me. Our designs are all self taught. what can we say we’re crafty, we’re just your type. All our stuff is handmade, hand-​tooled, handcrafted love. While moonlighting as international micro financiers & hippy jet setters back in the 1800’s we came up with a line of hip~bags that are not only functional, but dangerously cool. feel free to contact us with any questions, notions, factoids, useless bits of information… etc
