This place gets 5 stars because of the amazing 5 star ladies Susan and Sammy!!! I don’t have patience to write detailed reviews but what I will say is that these ladies are incredibly sweet, honest, and helpful! I hope the owner knows their worth and treats them like jewels! !!!

Although in most respects this is a ‘girly’ and very ‘effeminate’ store, there’s no denying the fact that they have the best selection of men’s hats probably in all Brooklyn. Certainly beats anything in the whole of Southern Brooklyn. [I can’t speak for ‘Northern’ BK,(aka, Bushwick or Williamsburg) because frankly I wouldn’t sully the soles of my shoes setting foot in those sh*tholes. Bleh!] Anyway yeah just try going to Century21 in search of men’s fedoras, chapeaus, caps, lids… no comparison to what Bejeweled has. Stacks upon stacks of hats! Astounding diversity and selection, even better than what you find online. Friendly, knowledgable service here, as well. The only drawback is price. Five *times* the normal rate, is their markup. That is no joke. One hat here… or five caps somewhere else. OUCH

I went to this store yesterday because my husband was looking to buy some new hats. I got to the store before he did and I looked around and the two woman working there was just sitting behind the register doing who knows what. I left and came back when my husband finally got there. My husband and his friend was trying on hats which he found plenty of. It then started to get crowed, but one of the women were now standing kind of close like she thought we were going to steal something. I was really annoyed with her. I saw about three other groups in there while I was there. Two of the groups bought two small items and one of them left out without purchasing anything. We spent almost $ 300, but we were the group that you stayed close to ?? I guess some people will always be ignorant. My husband doesn’t care about things like this so he still purchased his items.

Hats! Hats! Hats! So many hats under one roof. If you are new to hats, this is the place. If you weren’t a hat person, you might become one. For instance, I didn’t think I could wear a fedora. But voila, I’m wearing one right now. NOTE: these are starter hats, and priced accordingly. Like something you’d find at Urban Outfitters. But cheaper. If you are a real hat person(more than 2 years) don’t go here. You’re beyond this now. But if you’re on your way to brunch and want to be someone else for the day, by all means

Bejeweled has a wide selection and the staff and owners are always friendly and helpful. Pros: Wide selection Most accessories instead of just jewelery(hats, gloves, scarves, belts etc.) Friendly Helpful Unique pieces Cons: Some things are a bit pricey for what it is(but to be fair, they are on Smith St.)

I was walking by this store today and felt myself being pulled inside by the huge & colorful selection of scarves & hats. Seriously, it was quite impressive and I thought the prices were reasonable(although I didn’t find one that I liked enough to buy). They also have an incredible selection of jewelry(mostly costume) and the variety & colors were great. There were also some beautiful non-costume jewelry rings and I felt compelled to buy one(a little pricey, but I couldn’t resist). The two young women working there weren’t too friendly, however(admittedly the store was full of customers and one of the women was watching everyone like a hawk [and I understand why, as shoplifting must indeed be an issue]) — but still…

OMG so many scarves. The huge display of scarves is very accessible and has summer weight on one side and winter on the other. The salesladies are relaxed and do not hover. No pressure at all. I admired the hats and totally ignored all the shiny bling things and spent a lot of time choosing a scarf. $ 12.99, a normal price. I will be back for more browsing pleasure.

I love fall/winter accessories. Fortunately, New York weather allows me to wear scarves and boots for three of the four seasons. I stumbled onto Bejeweled while walking down Smith St and was instantly taken by their selection of hats. To echo another review, yes, it seems like a lot of their stuff is from Chinatown. Not that it stopped me from looking. I ended up buying a hat for $ 18 which I’m sure was marked up considerably. Why? Cause it’s really cute and I don’t want to have to search through Chinatown to find the same thing at a cheaper price. While I was in the store, a woman asked one of the salespeople the price of a necklace in the window. I don’t remember the exact price, but it was over $ 200. What? The woman was like, «But it’s fake…» The salesperson did not reply. I saw it. There’s absolutely no doubt that it was fake. So yeah, keep in mind the very questionable pricing in this store. This almost made me not buy the hat, but I liked it so much and I knew I would have felt fine buying it elsewhere for that price. It made me feel a little better buying a $ 5 tan knit beret from the nice lady in front of Trader Joe’s after having passed on the same hat for $ 10 on Joralemon.

I wanted to look at hats, but the workers clearly get peeved when customers walk-in. Uh ok.

Argh! Service is for the birds. 3 day exchange policy and rude sales people. Some good deals, but some«quality» things(stainless steel posts) are over-priced.

Was on the prowl for a hairclip near Court St., and thought to myself, this place should have every possible hair clip design known to man. Sure enuf, I was proven right. This place is piled high with every possible accessory known to woman. Hats, gloves, socks, leg warmers, belts, earrings, hairclips, hair paraphernalia of all sorts, necklaces, rings, and the list goes on. If its an accessory, this place will have it. They do have quite a selection of hairclips and some very pricey, I mean $ 65 for some plastic and fake jewels, I think not… Ended up settling for a $ 5 hair clip… yea I know… I am a cheapskate ;-)

Walking around in the neighborhood yesterday I started to feel the top of my head get a little toasty, so I says to my friend«hey, how bout a hat?» He says«I know just the place.» We came upon Bejeweled and my oh my do they have hats!(see photos) And pretty much any accessory you could want — belts, scarves, and tons of jewelry. The ladies who worked there were really nice, and help me make some hat choices. The prices were all very reasonable. so I ended up with 2 hats, a pair of really cool earrings, and a vintage looking cocktail ring. It’s fun to get a little unexpected fashion update every now and then.
