Barking Cat Studio Make It & Take It Arts & Crafts for Kids is the creative inspiration of proud Brooklyn native, toy designer & graphic artist Karen Merbaum.
Karen has been creating art professionally for over 25 years. She has been inspiring and teaching children arts & crafts for decades. Her career has included teaching packaging design at NYC’s School of Visual Arts and work as a toy designer, graphic artist & illustrator.
As the top cat at Barking Cat Studio, Karen sets the tone for an exhilarating, upbeat, creative environment that encourages her students to produce fun, out-of-the-ordinary arts & crafts. Karen & her staff’s commitment to the arts & the students makes the studio experience at Barking Cat one kids (and adults) won’t soon forget.
