Jonathan went far, far out of his way to give me superior service. As so often happens, I needed an urgent repair just before a big race. Jonathan worked me into his schedule, found the parts I needed, and fixed not only my «emergency» but a couple other more minor issues. It all meant that my bike was in perfect working order and I won my race. Please go to him for a bike fit and to build your perfect dream bike. He has earned high, high regard!

I’m an amateur cyclist & triathlete who has spent the last several years transitioning from «not really much idea of what I’m doing» to «kind of knowing how this all works.» Part of that transition has been understanding how important fit is to comfort, performance, and all-​around enjoyment on a bicycle.
Jonathan has re-​fit me on my road bike and served as both adviser and fitter when purchasing my time trial/​triathlon bike this year. For my road bike, he made some slight adjustments to my existing fit that disproportionately improved my performance and comfort. A few niggling pains eventually evaporated as I adapted to the new fit and I began to improve strength and, most importantly, enjoy riding my bike more.
During the new bike process, he was patient and provided invaluable advice as I worked through my questions and provided me several options inside of the range and criteria that I provided, most of which would have meant NOT purchasing through him. However, I ended up moving forward with one of the brands Acme carries and couldn’t be happier. There were a few bumps in the road during the process (essentially the frame came in later than expected), but he was open and honest about what was happening and we resolved the situation easily.
I’ve now had the bike for a few months and it’s just an absolute dream. I’m fitter, faster, and more comfortable than I’ve ever been in my personal process, and couldn’t be happier with my decision to work through Acme.
For what it’s worth, I’d add that Jonathan is also a genuinely good human being who does outstanding work — deserves your business.

Probably the best bike fitting studio in the metropolitan area. Have been on tri bikes for the last 6 years mostly because road bikes just didn’t feel as comfortable – counter intuitive, right? But that was my reality, that is until I went to Jon Blyer at Acme. Jon built me a custom made Guru Praemio which is titanium, steering me away from the more expensive carbon bikes based on his knowledge of my riding. The componentry was perfect, and he went over everything in great detail so that I knew what my options were. The result? A fantastic road experience that allows me to mix my riding for the various events I am entering. Kudos to Acme – if you are looking for a bike of any quality you need to at least talk to Jon Blyer.

I’m new to triathlons and cycling. After a few sprint races on an old bike and the decision to do my first ½ Ironman, I was ready for a real racing bike.
I researched a few different places that do fittings in the city. I read that some bike shops will do a fitting for free or at a discounted price. After experiencing this «free» fitting for myself, I assure you, it’s nothing like you’ll get with Acme and you’re doing yourself and your bike a disservice.
I found out about Acme Bicycle through an interview on
. Jonathan was patient with a newbee like me! He really took his time making sure the fit was perfect for me. We went through 5 saddles, large and small adjustments, sprints and climbs. When one modification threw something off, he’d go back and was genuinely excited to figure out the perfect configuration for me.
After the session, he emailed me all my measurements and even included a few bike suggestions in my budget with explanations about size/​components. With this info, I was able to get a bike that was as perfect as a non-​custom built bike could be for me. Once I got my bike, I had one last meeting with Jonathan to set the new bike up using the measurements we took on day 1.
The Bike shops wanted me to pick a bike that they’d try to make work for me. Jonathan got me the exact configuration I needed so that I could pick the best bike for my dimensions.
His attention to detail is obvious. He’s genuinely friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and just smart in general. I will definitely be back at Acme next season.
