Valvoline Instant Oil Change

This is my first time going to to this location for a synthetic oil change that cost me $ 120, I asked them to put 40 tire pressure on the four tires, after I started driving the car I felt the pressure on the tires is not the same and the driving is different, when I went to Bj’s I found out that they put 40 on the driver side tire only and all other tires are around 35 psi .I contacted the manage and he started coming with excuses and he told me that he is busy and does not have time to argue.
Now I don’t know if they put a synthetic oil. It is the speed of service without the right service.
This is the last time I am going to use valvolin.

I have had my oil changed twice here and the transmission fluid. Both were in the middle of the day on Friday. They receive a lot of business so sometimes there isn’t a wait, sometimes you wait 5 minutes which isn’t bad at all.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The price is what it is for conventional oil and transmission fluid, I always use a coupon. They check the tire pressure, lights and air filters and will explain to you why an air filter needs to be replaced or why transmission fluid should be replaced and aren’t too aggressive about it.
I would come here again.

I was there on a black friday around 4pm.
I had the feel the day was just dragging for them!
Went there for a oil change! I wish they would have checked the antifreeze! Because 1day later my car broke down lacking antifreeze! And I was told I wold get the recipe in the email, well never got it.

I bought a brand new car, and as all cars do when you use then out of their newness, she needed an oil change. I have a Mazda, and that needs a synthetic oil change. It costs more but it lasts longer between changes.
I came in, was seen in a reasonable amount of time, and went on my way. I noticed some issues with it not responded as well as it had, but didn’t think too much of it until I get an email from the company.
Not only were they so excited to have me come back as a customer, they decided to mention that I had been given conventional oil last time. On my 80 dollar oil change. Really? You charge me for synthetic, damage my car, defraud me, and then send out a corporate email asking me to come back and get it done again? No flipping thank you. I’ll mail the Attny General about this foolishness.

I had my last oil change at this facility on 5÷1÷2015 and paid $ 131.22. I drove my car for a few months thereafter locally and not very often. The first time I took a long drive in the car following the oil change, I drove on the highway for three hours. After three hours of driving on the highway, the oil cap fell out from the bottom of my car and all the oil came out. My engine light came on and my engine began to smoke and I pulled over. I had to call for a tow. The service provider told me that there was no damage to the bottom of the car at all, so the cause of the oil cap falling out was that the person who put it in after my last oil change did not tighten it properly. I paid $ 210 for the tow and the inspection plus $ 53 for the new oil cap and the oil. I called the facility to tell them what happened and provided them with the documentation. I asked them to reimburse me for the $ 263 I had to spend due to their negligence as well as the $ 131.22 I paid for their failed service. They refused. They denied responsibility even though I have documentation from the service center that states the cause of the problem was that the oil cap was not properly tightened and therefore vibrated out.

Needed to get my oil changed and this place around the corner from my apartment was perfect. I was literally in-​and-​out in 15 minutes just like they advertise! They changed my oil, refilled my vehicle fluids, checked everything under the hood and all within a short amount of time! Very friendly staff and they were helpful in explaining certain things to me about the free services they offer and when I would need to come in for another change.
Also, I didn’t even need to leave the car which was a huge plus. You literally just drive into the garage, sit back, relax, and wait. Great experience here and will be returning when the time comes.

I came to this location for an oil change and a refrigerant top up. You can tell the whole crew is having a good time while servicing cars. Mikey was the man, he gave me tons of useful information about my car, way beyond a standard oil change. Makes me feel like my 170k Jeep will drive another 100k.

Pulled right in without an appointment and was out in under 20 minutes. Found it pricier than other places but maybe your time is worth the money? Everyone was helpful and polite. Great experience overall.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and was extremely pleased with the efficiency and quality of the service. Immediately, I had about 3 personnel assisting me. It is a drive-​through oil change, so you don’t even have to leave your car. I was personally helped by Mikey who did an excellent job explaining the oil change options as well as other basic but necessary car maintenance items that I was in need of. I felt confident that the employees here were looking out for my best interest. Although I ended up needing a few things more than just an oil change, I appreciated their sincerity and their assistance. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs extremely knowledgable staff and fast, efficient service. They even honored the Unilocal $ 10 off discount and offered me another discount as well. Overall, I was happy with the service.

I have been coming here for years, and will continue for years to come. Today, an employee told me I was early for my oil change and encouraged me to come back in about six weeks when I would really need one, taking the time to explain months versus mileage as it pertains to oil use. I’ve been here twice now and I’ve been very happy with the service and staff. They’ve noticed lights that needed fixing, and other important things but are honest about services that can wait. Plus, both times I’ve come the service has been very friendly and fast.

My oil change was quick and uneventful. The entire thing is drive-​through service, which means you stay in your car during the oil change and the mechanic does the work through an underground opening. I experienced the usual up-​selling attempts, including a recommendation to replace the air filter that had just been replaced at my last oil change (and I do know a little about this stuff; it did not at all appear close to needing replacement), but not too much pressure when I declined the «recommended» additions.

Called Midas to ask if they were open for MLK day and was made fun of by the guy answering the phone («Well I answered the phone did’t I?») So I chose Valvoline instead. Their drive through oil change is perfect for busy folks like me and I really felt like I got pit-​stop treatment as a team of two not only changed my oil but checked my tires, etc. There was no wait and I was in and out in 15 minutes!

Immediate and very friendly service. The woman changing my oil explained all the options thoroughly and very simply. Highly recommend.

Went here with an expired living social today and it was easy-​breezy to redeem for the paid value, something I had a problem with at other locations. Service was fast, friendly, and honest. First Valvoline that did not try to sell me on a new air filter. Thank You.

Yeah, I’m torn about this place. I’ll give them full credit. they’re fast and well trained. They get through several important things quickly, and they have a very clearly established process. They even communicate well (I bet the ISO 9001 folks love this place).
I’ll go so far as to say this isn’t just the most efficient oil change I’ve ever gotten, it’s the most efficient thing that’s ever been done too (or for) my car.
But there are costs to that. The first is literally cost. It’s pricey. For conventional oil I could find cheaper many places. But it’s not just that… it’s the hype patter. The schtick. The upselling that’s a turn-​off.
And the worst thing is, as a marketer, I could see every step along the way being perfectly planned out. They present you with oil options going from most expensive to cheapest. They have two expensive options and then a less expensive option and then a cheapest option (which is all most cars need). And after mentioning all four they double back and «recommend» the middle option. Except they know that something like 80% of their customers won’t take the most expensive option and don’t like to think of themselves as cheap so won’t take the least expensive, so will opt for the less expensive option thinking that they’re getting a good deal and not looking like a cheapskate in front of their new friends who are being so attentive to them and their car needs.
I took the mid-​range/​less expensive option. And I didn’t need it. And as soon as I pulled out I thought about how much I just paid and felt like a total schmuck.
But it’s not just that. It’s all the extras they want to do. And how they take information from you right then to use against you. «What’s your mileage? Well according to my computer and the recommendations from your manufacturer you need this and this and this. Oh you don’t want all that? Well you should at least get this because this one is really important.» I was in the place for approximately 8 minutes and spent 4.5 of those either being pressured to get something else or guilted into it. «Are you sure… because this is really important.»
I won’t hold the overcharging against this place, because it really is amazingly efficient and I can see charging extra for speed/​efficiency/​quality service. But as to the rest of it, I’m honestly not sure I wouldn’t rather go somewhere to sit in a crappy waiting room for an hour and be done with it, as opposed to the 10 minute reprogramming/​emotional abuse session that I have to overpay for.
I shouldn’t complain this much. If you’re in a hurry and want a quick oil change and don’t mind paying a little more for it, this really is a terrific place. But BE PREPARED before you even pull in. If I ever go back I’ll just hand them my credit card, say «Conventional oil, please» and then stick my fingers in my ears and say «Nah Nah Nah I can’t hear you» until they’re done.
Two and a half stars for giving great service, but taking advantage of their captive audience.
