Dr. Ponce has has been my dentist since 1983. She’s done everything from fillings, to crowns, to (now) an implant. You may be thinking if she’s so good, why is this guy having so much work done? Unfortunately, it’s a legacy from a misspent youth, before fluoridation, of not having taken care of my teeth as I should have.
With all of the procedures, she’s never hurt me, even once. (I don’t know if that’s as much an issue for younger patients who’ve known nothing but high speed drills and other modern equipment.) That’s not to say that my mouth hasn’t told me a day later, «Uhm. you just had a root canal!», but I’m even guilty of once having nodded off in the chair while she was working!
