History

Established in 1985.

This business was established by Dr Douglas Leung in 1985. Dr Chui worked as an associated in this location for 6 years before purchasing the office in 2009. Over the years, Dr Chui continue to enrich her professional knowledge through continue education classes such as dental management skills in Florida and periodontal surgical skills in California. Her office has doubled in revenue since she purchased the office.

Dr. Po Po Chui practices general dentistry in Brookline, MA.

A native of Hong Kong, Dr. Chui attended college in California, then graduated cum laude from Boston University as a dentist in 2002. While there, she received an award by the Department of Diagnostic and Patient Services for excellent patient care.

In 2009 and 2010, she was awarded one of America’s top dentists by Consumer’s Research Council of America.

She now continues advanced dental practice management training at Management Experts Inc. in Clearwater, Florida.

Dr. Chui speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

I am so happy with the service I received from Dr. Chui and her staff! I was experiencing some pain on the left side of my mouth and was worried if a filling had cracked or something was wrong with the nerve. When I went in, Dr. Chui carefully examined my mouth and suggested a deep cleaning because of the pocketing I was beginning to have. She offered to do one quadrant that day and another day for the rest to see if that would fix my problem. After the swelling went down, I felt much more relieved and the pain slowly went away. At the end of the week, I went back for the second procedure to do the rest. She made sure I was comfortable and always asked how I was doing. She did a great job and was also very fast. It has been a week and not felt pain since!

I never write reviews, but good service and people deserve recognition. I was in so much pain to the point it was unbearable. It was my first time at Dr. Chui’s office, but everyone from the lady at the front desk, her assistant, and Dr. Chui herself were all so kind. It felt as if I was going to them for years. I ended up having to get a root canal, but the process was painless. I highly recommend this place! :)

I went to this office in 2015. I agree with Jen S who posted below. I have never had such a painful cleaning — when they told me to rinse out my mouth, clots of blood came out. My gums continued to bleed for several days. I do not know the name of dental hygienist.
Unfortunately, the experience did not improve. I was told I had 6 cavities that needed to be filled. However, I had been in regular dental care and figured that seemed very unlikely. I got a second and third opinion, and both dentists thought that I had 2 cavities that needed filling. It seems like this office wanted to fill any minor defect that could become a cavity, rather than being conservative and only filling those that really needed filling. I did not return to this office.

I really appreciate Dr. Chui and her staff. Everyone is friendly and tries hard to make the experience a good one. When I was a new patient here I needed a filling, and Dr. Chui took the time to discuss this with me — and when giving me the filling she was very patient in making sure it was a comfortable fit when biting down on it. I also know that Dr. Chui puts a lot of continuing effort to staying on top of her field. Erica the hygienist is great too. Thanks!

The weekday hygienist is sadistic. Never had a more painful cleaning in my life both times she did it. She seems to get enjoyment out of it too. Will not be returning

I have been going to Dr. Po Po Chui’s dental office for a few years now and recently have been taken care of by Caitlin. She is the friendliest and most welcome person. I do not feel nervous when I am about to get my teeth cleaned or a deep cleaning treatment. She takes the time to explain everything and does a great job!

I had a great cleaning at Dr. Chui’s office this week. They were great over the phone booking the appointment and getting me set up as a new patient, the waiting room was clean and comfy when I arrived, and hygienist Caitlin was so friendly and took time to explain things to me as she was doing them! The atmosphere was really comfortable and laid back which I liked, I’ve never experienced a dentist like that. The exam was really thorough and they seemed to check things and debrief me on things that I’ve never been aware of.
It’s also super easy to get to right on Beacon St at the St. Mary’s T stop! Plenty of street parking too…

I moved to Boston for school and needed a dentist. At the time, the only dental plan I had was BASIX, which was through the school I attended. Going to school is costly, and I was looking for the cheapest option, which was this dental office. I was really happy with my choice. The staff was very friendly, kind, and professional. My first appointment was with Dr. Chui, and she was very kind and professional. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was amazing. She loves to make her patients feel comfortable and provides great patient education, which I feel is truly important for anyone receiving health care services. They also had weekend hours, which was nice to accommodate my busy school schedule. I recommend this dental office.
