Mr. Levitt comes from a musically rich background. He is a 4^th generation musician and music instructor. Dave started studying clarinet and piano at age five. He also took private lessons in drums, saxophone and voice. Dave started to take trombone lessons at age 14 and decided to make that his main instrument. He continued on that path through college while minoring in piano. Mr. Levitt began giving lessons while living in Brooklyn as a teenager– one of his first trombone students was future congressman Anthony Weiner. Dave has always had a roster of students in piano, voice, trombone, and trumpet over the years. His expertise has been called upon many times by some of the area’s independent schools (Trinity School, Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Riverdale Country Day School). Dave also coordinated and taught for the after school music program at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs school in Upper Manhattan.
