Not a good job. While the list of things that aren’t inspected may be boilerplate industry stuff, the inspection should’ve alerted us to the fact that the power and cable lines were only about 10′ off the ground. This became a disaster when a 13′ delivery truck took out our power line.
Also, the presence of melted plastic caps on the top of the water heater should have been noted. If they had been noted, we would’ve asked for consideration of some sort. The plumber who visited us after we bought the house told us that the melted caps were an indication that the water heater was not venting optimally.
Finally, the sellers informed us that the inspector left the oven on at the conclusion of the inspection. The sellers came home 4 or 5 hours later to find the oven on. Mistakes happen — but absolutely no apology was ever offered for almost burning the house down.
There’s a litany of other small-​ish items that were missed. Unfortunately, those omissions overshadow the quality of some of the good work that was done.

I decided to try this company on recommendation from a neighbor. We set up a home inspection on a Saturday and only the assistant inspector showed up. We waited a couple hours for him to arrive calling him three or four times. He never showed. I received a call from the office later on that day apologizing it was a scheduling conflict. We decided to give them another chance after the owner offered us a discount. The following Saturday appointment the same exact situation occurred. No head inspector, but the assistant was able to make it on time. I couldn’t believe it. Twice this company has done this. I have no inspection report and have yet to hear from the owner. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Not really sure how they stay in business.

I had a great experience with this company. Not only did they conduct a very thorough inspection but the inspector explained as much as I needed. For a first time solo homeowner, it is a great way to get to know the home that you are potentially purchasing! Their prices were also the best around and the report was very straightforward and detailed and included color photos. I would highly recommend using Home and Hearth Inspectors!
