Totally impressed with these guys and this place. I haven’t shot in two years and my husband and I found a babysitter so that we could truly start to get the practice needed. First of all just from the point of view of hours, closing at 9 pm on a Saturday was a big help. We called ahead to make sure when our cut off was… 1 ½ hours before. They are thorough in making sure you read the rules, putting your initials next to every one. I have no issue with that. We shot for just over an hour and at one point one of the range masters came in and worked with the both of us on stance and other great pointers. These are serious guys, serious about guns and serious about not dealing with people who don’t want to follow range rules. We drove an hour to come here and now the goal is to make up for lost time, grab a babysitter and get up here once a month. Thanks guys!

Glad to see they finally allow you to bring your own ammo. It was the one thing that was keeping me from going back on a regular basis. I will now use this as my go to because it is close to home and only travel to Wallingford to use the bigger rifles.

Awesome range. This range is run by a professional staff who know what they’re doing. The range is clean and safe. Prices aren’t too bad, as ammo is MUCH cheaper than shooters in New Milford. About 18 dollars for a box of 509 mm compared to 25 at Shooters. The range officer isn’t a nazi either. They don’t scrutinize your ammo under an electron microscope. Wolfs has a wide array of weapon rentals as well. This is my go to range. I won’t go anywhere else because I am happy with the service and prices here. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Keep up the good service Wolfs.

Nice local indoor range. Usually not super busy like some of the other indoor ranges in the area. Nice people who work there and decent rates. Only note is right now they have almost no ammo, so bring your own

Excellent range with very helpful and friendly staff. My wife and I go in a regular basis after getting our permits. The great thing was being able to try out so many variations of pistol calibers when we just had our NRA safety course certificates to see what we did and did not like.

I read some poor reviews about the staff on Google, but I have to say I think this place is great. Granted, the lobby outside the range has some older couches and I wouldnt want to hang out in there forever. But in reality I am just looking for a place to go and shoot my gun, so I really don’t care much about what the lobby looks like. Their prices are fair and they are one of the only public ranges I could find nearby.

Located a stone’s throw from ESPN world headquarters, Wolf’s is a great place to shoot. After getting your NRA Basic Pistol certificate, you are allowed to shoot. You don’t even need a state permit. They will rent you guns from a large selection, the only caveat being that you must buy the ammo from them. Of course, permit holders can bring their own guns and ammo. The staff was very helpful, informative and encouraging. They even gave me a discount when they found out it was my first time visiting. The target movement controls are modern, switch-based and motorized. Each lane has its own work station area, and there are tables along the back wall. I received a warm greeting and friendly advice from a regular customer who was shooting at the same time as me. Everything about this place is top-notch, courteous and professional. Safety is a primary concern, and the rules are very clear and reasonable. Their prices are very competitive, especially compared to other area ranges who seem to be resting on their laurels. This is surprising, given how much newer and well-maintained Wolf’s facility seems in comparison. Lots more detail and information(including the list of rental guns) is available on their web site: Bottom line: A shining example of what a shooting range can(and should) be.
