Established in 1979.

Our company started off repairing a different generation of vehicles in 1979 when we first opened our doors. As times moved forward we did as well. Adapting to the advancements in technology. Using computers and scanners to diagnose and repair engine light, power train, ABS and all other issues pertaining to engine light and overall performance problems. We have experienced technicians that can address your automotive needs no matter the problem. We always offer the lowest prices and top quality of workmanship for over 35 years. George Nassif opened Brighton Motor Service in 1979 with an extensive knowledge of auto repair and a good standing within the community. Known for his hard work, repair skills and dedication to solve the customers issues inexpensively and effectively that surpasses the expectations of most neighborhood auto repair shops. At Brighton Motor Service we value every customer who walks in the door no matter if the job is major or minor. Our goal is to serve all your needs fast, inexpensive and efficient. Both George Sr. and George Jr. are present at the shop involved in the process of repair and making sure every job is thoroughly completed. We have a variety of used parts and also go the extra mile to ensure the lowest price possible. We are not a chain shop therefor we can focus all of our attention on getting your vehicle repaired properly. We are open 7 days a week. George was able to see me straight away even though they were super busy, and ultimately his assessment was quick, correct and simple. I thought I had a steering problem because it swayed, but he knew instantly when he test drove it that it was a bad wheel. He replaced the tire with a used one he had there in good condition and fixed a punctured tire on the back. Feels so much better now!!! Going back tomorrow for a used rim replacement ($ 20). He charged me $ 100 today, which I was hoping for a used tire and a puncture fix would be around $ 70 given the reviews of affordability. They are good knowledgable skillful honest people and I will go back!

I came here twice with car problems on a Sunday. They are open and working on Sundays which is fabulous because most garages in the area are not. Both times I have been treated with a great deal of respect and I have a great deal of confidence in their services. They are able to walk you through what they need to do and why (this is great for someone who knows little about cars like myself) and they charge incredibly fair prices. I highly recommend them. Very nice people and very honest, hard workers.

I went here on a Sunday afternoon immediately before driving home to Philadelphia. My muffler was coming loose, and I was worried it would not make the trip home. He made sure he managed to check it out that day, and had it secure enough to hit the road in under 3 hours. He explained what repairs needed to be done as soon as I could when I was back home, and charged much less than I was ready to pay for an emergency situation where I could have easily been taken advantage of. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and most importantly, my car made it home without any issues!

I really can’t speak highly enough of Brighton motor services. They always do a great job and don’t screw you over for being a woman or because you have an old car.
I have a 2000 Ford focus. And I have been taking it there since 2007. I never thought I would be treated so well by mechanics. They don’t mansplain. They don’t over sell repairs. They give you a heads up if they see something coming down the road like a over 10 year old car will… they even came and got me when my car wouldn’t start a block away at cvs. And didn’t charge me! They jumped it and had me drive it to the shop.
They are really great and work with you.

Great place. I called them the other day about a problem on my Subaru and George told me over the phone exactly what was wrong. Brought her in a few minutes later, left her overnight and they had the work finished by the next afternoon. George and the other staff I met here were easygoing and friendly, and stayed true to their quote. I was worried about finding a new mechanic in Brighton, but these guys will be my go-​to from now on. Check them out, you’re in good hands!

George is one of the only mechanics in the world I trust with my car. I’ve had everything from oil changes to valve cover gasket changes done at Brighton Motor, and I’ve never once been disappointed by the work, the professionalism of George and his crew, or the time I had to wait. I know that if it takes a little extra time, it’s just because George and his guys are getting it right for me the first time and I won’t need to come back.

I was recommended by a friend to go to George about a year ago and have been using his shops service since. George is a straight shooter and prides himself on not pushing any repair. He will rather explain and educate you on the issues so that you can understand why a job is important. I know an average amount about cars, having worked on the same car for 8 years through multiple shops. George is one of few who takes his time to explain the repair, risks of non-​repairs, and price solutions. I am very frugal and have been repairing the same corolla for years just to keep it going and passing inspection. Mechanics like George understand my type, as well those who want to keep their car in pristine condition. He’ll make his recomentations, tell you it as it is, and stand by his work.
I great example of this was when I took my car in for the serpentine belt. I was able to wiggle it across the street to an A-​Z Auto Center on Comm Ave. NEVER GO THERE. They took my car and estimated the repair would cost $ 1200. I asked for an explanation, and they were very shaddy in saying that the «bolt that connects the belt to the engine block broke off inside the engine, so they need to remove the engine all together». Yea right. I called their bluff and towed my car to George. He said he could get creative and repair the issue without taking the engine block out. I ended up paying George $ 350 for the repair and new belt and components. He even apologized because he needed to «get creative and custom weld a drill to reach the block.» That’s fine George, you saved me $ 900.

I had a major power steering fluid leak needed to be fixed immediately. The owner and the people there were nice, even during the busy moment, did a free inspection within an hour. I also went other places to get quotes, but this place was the only honest and had a reasonable price. I understand that leak was very bad and the parts needed to be replaced — the parts which would cost over $ 300 (that was the same price all around), the quote was $ 600 include labor and tax — the labor (3 – 4 hours) was much lower than the other places. The only thing was, the owener called me during the repair, telling me that they found another rusty pipe highly recommended being replaced which would cost them extra $ 90 for the parts, but he knows that he already gave me a quote, so he cut it down to $ 50 and free labor. He also straightened the steering perfectly after the replacement and it’s very comfortable driving now, he even friendly told me that there is a little air leak from the exhaust pipe which I was recently aware of, and said he could fix it for around $ 100 whenever later on. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the services and like the owner and people there.

I was quoted $ 200 for brake line replacement on the phone.
The owner (older gentleman) took an hour to go get the part I needed, once he verified what the exact part was, and returned with the wrong part. He then had to leave and to purchase the correct part and come back. Took an insane amount of time, so be prepared to waste a day here.
However, the parts and labor were over $ 200, especially since they took so long. But, keeping with their word, I was charged $ 200 to replace 2 brake lines (the lines, attachments, and labor).
Work was great quality.
By the way, my car is a 1993 Toyota Camry.
Added a star for the prompt feedback from the owner. Owner if you read this again — simply let your customers know how long the job will take. I am mot criticizing the time it took, but rather the miscommunication.

Great experience and great people. I recently had an axle replaced and an oil change. Everyone I dealt with at Brighton Motor Service was polite and upfront. My first quote was well below the other shops in the area and it matched my final cost.
Turn around was fast. I’ll be recommending them to those few people I know in Boston with cars.

The folks here are great! I live right around the corner and when my radiator hose busted, it was bad news. They walked around the block with me to check out the car, drove it in and put it on the lift– next thing I knew it was fixed for nearly HALF what I had been originally quoted somewhere else! They are fast workers, hospitable, and on top of their game! They are always fixing my car from now on!

George and the team at Brighton Motor Services are GREAT. I was having trouble with my car stalling out while driving around Boston (terrifying!) and I stumbled across these guys because they were the only garage open on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. I was SO LUCKY to find them! George has a ton of experience with Camry’s, gave me a few possibilities for what might be wrong, and fixed it by Monday for a super reasonable price. He also called to check in before doing anything I would be charged for, so I never felt out of the loop and there were no surprises when it came time to pay.
These guys are now my go-​to mechanics. It’s nice to find people who are knowledgeable, down-​to-​earth and value their customers as much as these guys do!

This place is Brightons hidden jewel, they worked on my old beater for years and still treated me like I owned a Ferrari… Now I have a new Lexus and they still do all my work at a fraction of the dealers price… I now no longer live in Brighton and moved 20 mins away… I still drive out to them because they are the most trusted shop I’ve ever been to. Oh and their full service gas is the same price as self serve!

I bought an 02′ hyundai sonata unchecked from an internet auction. TERRIBLE IDEA. I got it inspected by a mechanic immediately to make the deadline for the interstate auto auction’s warranty for a ‘green light vehicle’ and I was told it couldn’t be driven at all. I took it back to them but they insisted nothing was wrong.
Well there was quite a lot wrong and it had to have many very expensive parts replaced including two wheel bearings, my power steering pump, a whole mess of panels and sensors … I had a towed to Brighton Motor Services and with George’s help my car is now on the road and getting me around no problem! I know that if I brought my car elsewhere I could have paid twice as much as it cost me there. He threw in sensors he already had, looked for my parts at junkyards to save me money, and painted some rust spots for free! He called me throughout his search to keep me updated about the process. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Miracle workers! They kept my ’98 Corolla on the road with ingenious repairs! My car was shutting off when a turn signal was used… scary thing mid turn! Turns out the electrical harness on my car was shot… which is $ 1000 to fix. Well when your car isn’t worth much more than that a repair like that seems like the end if the road. George put a switch in and bypassed the bad parts of the harness for a fraction of the original price and I’m pretty sure he under charged me for the labor. I appreciate not feeling taken advantage of here which is rare.
When I had to move to Atlanta and we had to sell my car, George told me how to price it and even offered to buy it if I didn’t find a high enough offer.
