Mediocre haleem with very little meat. When I order for take out during their dinner all you can eat special, I would expect it to be better than buffet quality. I’d give them 2 stars but they get a point for actually making their haleem «real» spicy, with chopped up jalepenos, and their garlic naan, which I would say is better than average.

Best place to eat non vegetarian food. I have tried maghaz, chicken karahi, chicken curry and the biryani which I think is the best in Boston.

Went there with family at around 8:30 pm for the dinner buffet. The rice was smelly and expired. I complained to the staff and they told me that they would get me a fresh plate. I waited for 20 minutes and asked again. I was told that there is no rice left. I asked to speak to a manager but there was no manager available. The staff rudely told me that rice is fine and i was the only one who complained. I managed to call the manager and he told me that he doesn’t eat rice but by coincidence he had eaten it today and it was fine. No one apologized to me and told me i was wrong. I went to the Cambridge health department to complain and they told me that this restaurant has been fined 3 times in 2015 for being unhygenic and using expired food. If you love your family and want to stay healthy then just stay away from this place.

Had goat korma and chicken korma with bread. Everything good and Desi style and zabiha. Hard to find in and around Boston.
More Pakistani style than Indian. Pricey but would go back.

Never disappointed when I come here. I’m not a fan of South Asian cuisine, but these guys can throw it down. Order the Chicken Tikka Masala with puris, nihari and rhoti, and you’re set.

chicken curry was incredible. with rice and rice pudding came to around $ 19 which is higher than i expected for what it is. the space is so authentic that i felt a bit out of place.
the buffet looks amazing and from what i read will make me feel better about the price.

Food is good. Restaurant looks clean from inside, service is a little slow, the waitresses are sad looking lol… but other wise I am OK in eating here again.

Excellent flavor, great service, made the Boston trip worth it! We had at least 8 different dishes. Favorite was goat korma and chapli kebab! The Nihari was awesome and the daal fry delicious. The paan is out of this world.

Came here to celebrate Eid and it was everything I was hoping for and more! Even with the rush of Eid the service was great. The food was delicious and very authentic! I highly recommend the seekh kabab, chicken tikka, and peshawari naan! Even

I haven’t had a bad meal here, yet. My favorite is the Goat Briyani. The lunch and dinner buffet are great ways to try a variety of different dishes. The Chicken Tandour was delicious and well cooked. Service is pretty friendly and the restaurant is very clean.
I saw that someone added a picture of a rock in their food. THAT WASNT A ROCK! it’s a spice. It’s a hard pod that has a bunch of flavored sends inside. It’s not to be eaten – kind of like a bay leaf.
During Ramadan (around July), they have the dinner buffet every night.
I thoroughly enjoy every meal I have here and would definitely recommend! Enjoy!

Great food! We had the chicken tikka pieces and the Bihari Kabab. The chicken was tasty and succulent — which is rare in Pakistani style tandoori dishes in restaurants here. The Bihari Kabab were not the way the traditional ones are, but they still tasted amazing! The naans were also good.
We also ordered the biryani, but I would really not recommend that. It did not have the richness in flavor and it seemed like they had added too much turmeric.
The service was good and accommodating. They close at 10.30 and we arrived at 10. They served us all the food and stayed open while we finished eating even after their closing time.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend of mine so decided to give it a try. A figured that with a buffet there would definitely be something I liked.
Well, there were things I liked and things I didn’t like. The chicken, for the most part was ok. Had a few pieces that were definitely undercooked. The thing that will keep me from coming back was the lack of variety. I expected an equal amount of veggie choices and meat dishes. Nope! There was only one veggie choice, chick peas… unless you want to count a garden salad as an option.
Service was great but the food was just eh.

Please please dont go this restaurent, we stopped by to this restaurent to have lunch but food was stale (previous day foods) and smelling bad and no Indian/​pakistani food taste (why they kept the name «Darbar») trying to misguide people. I went to peak lunch time and there were only one customer apart from us. I never seen any indian/​paksitani restaurent serving brown rice.
I just wanted to let people know dont go by its name «Darbar», there is nothing to eat literally.

Went to buffet on a Saturday night. Not what I was expecting… wasnt heated enough to sit comfortably with taking coat off, one beef option, buffet didn’t have burners on and or the trays were open so everything was luke warm. Food was not that great at all, beef wasn’t even cooked all the way. I’m worried I’m gonna have stomachs ache tomorrow… And get this, dessert was one option of carrot halwa, screaming (other people’s) kids. I did bring 3 of my own from 4−9years old. do not recommend

Decent food. They seem to deliver a good distance from their location, unlike other local Indian/​Pakistani restaurants. I ordered take-​out on a snowed-​in day and received warm food at an average price. Their vegetable dishes are oily and spicy, so make sure to ask for MILD if you do not like spice. Naan was good, I liked the holes which allowed for easy tearing. Samosas were okay, not as brightly colored as I have seen from other restaurants but tasty. Desserts were not bad. Would order again.

Recently, my family and I had received some incredibly distressing news. While making preparations and dealing with the situation, there was a knock on the door. A very nice man holding several bags of Indian food was standing behind the door.
First, the delivery driver was INCREDIBLY kind. He was very congenial and nice, and it was a wonderful interaction.
Secondly, even though none of us was particularly hungry given the situation, we couldn’t help but eat some of the food. It was incredibly delicious. The stews were hot and creamy, the biryani was perfectly spiced, the daal a perfect accompaniment to everything.
Thirdly, I found out that my house is out of the usual delivery zone for the restaurant. It turns out my friend had called and asked them to deliver. Darbar not only agreed, but also did not give me any grief about having to drive all the way out to Waltham.
I am extremely impressed: not just by the high quality of the food but also by the incredible service.

By the way, we ended up freezing much of the food. It keeps well and defrosts just right!

Very high quality food. Generous portions on most main courses. Good mix of veg and non-​veg.

Came here for buffet during ramadan not knowing what to expect but it was awesome! The food is so authentic and good! The flat bread they give you fresh from the kitchen is like no other. it’s almost biscuit like with the rich butteryness and flakiness. Pairs perfectly with the curries and meats. My fave was the beef keema (ground beef with a gravy kind of sauce) Get plenty of the green yogurt sauce to go with everything and anything! And dessert! The rice pudding they had was just delectable with undertones of cardamom and other spices.
