Katie has been coloring my hair for years and ALWAYS gets it right. I live in Chicago and travel here to get my hair done because no one is as good at getting the color just right.

My overall experience was terribly disappointing. I went in to get my hair colored on a Friday evening. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted to do and she quickly looked at it and then went off to get her color swatches. The picture I showed her was mostly blonde with darker and lighter pieces throughout. I’m naturally a medium blonde. So we picked out, what I thought, were the colors for the lowlights and highlights. Well the stylist ended up dying my whole head the darkest color and used the highlight color for a few foils up top. However it was hard for me to tell that night because I left with sopping wet hair. She assured me that if I didn’t like it, to call back in the morning and she would fix it. Yikes, so I went home and took a better look at it as it was drying and yeah, nothing like the picture I had shown her. It was completely dark and I hated it. So the next morning I called just after they opened and spoke with the stylist and told her how I wasn’t happy with the color and wanted to come back in that morning to fix it. Now, here’s the part that really irked me, she tells me she’s booked up all day for homecoming and that she can’t get me in. She goes on to say that she doesn’t know how she’d fix it anyways or maybe she could run a clarifying shampoo in it to lighten it up. I was appalled. I asked if there was anybody else there who could help me and she told me no. She could get me in Monday or Tuesday to which I said I work until 5. She was like, yeah we close at 5 so that won’t work. I was so upset I told her to forget it all together and I would go somewhere else to get it fixed. She had no solutions for me and she wanted me to tell her how to fix my hair. I’m not a stylist but I was I would make sure to accommodate my customers and if I say I would fix it I would! I ended up going to Paul Mitchell and had a student do my hair… it’s much better now. I can’t believe I shelled out $ 100 for hair I had to have somebody else fix. I work hard for that money!

I have been going here for years. Everyone is friendly and it is a lovely atmosphere. The ladies make you feel like family. Both staff and customers talk and laugh together. Instant friendships with strangers.
I have never left here unhappy… they just don’t allow it.
The styles range from classic to trendy. You should see what these ladies can do!

I love this salon. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful with any of your needs. Not only do they offer hair care but they also offer waxing, facials, massage, manicures and pedicures.

I have been going to Status since it opened. I go every two weeks for nails and every six weeks for hair color. I will never go anywhere else! Fantastic staff! I have had messages, eyebrow waxes, petties, and my entire wedding group went for hair and makeup. Where ever I go I constantly get compliments on my hair and nails. They know their color! I wouldn’t dare to have another salon even attempt my hair color! Before they opened I would jump around to different salons and could never find my beauty home. I now know that I have found my salon! I look forward to not just getting my nails and hair done but I look forward to relaxation and and the wonderful environment! I recomend Status to everyone that I know!

Followed my hair stylist down to this salon. Almost hour drive from just the 2-​minute drive before but she’s well worth it! This salon is comfortable and bright. Everyone seems cherry!

I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. Waited 20 minutes after the appt. and still did not get to see a nail tech. I don’t plan on returning. They need to be better organized.

This salon has gone downhill. I used to love going there because I felt so comfortable. Now I get a bad vibe and they are not accommodating to walk ins even though they have a walk ins welcome sign right in the front door. They lost 3 customers today.

I went to this salon because I attend ONU and its within walking distance which is very nice. The salon has a comfortable atmosphere and friendly people. I got a manicure and was fairly satisfied with it. The only thing I would complain about was that the workers sat around the counter and talked to whole time and that took away from the calming atmosphere.
