Safelite AutoGlass

This is a very well run company. We have had the misfortune of having to have my husband’s windshield replaced twice within 6 months and both experiences with Safelite have been seamless. The first time they came to our office and the second time to our home. Communication was great leading up to the encounter and the techs both times were fantastic!

A friend noted a sizeable chip in the windshield just days before a long distance work trip. The next day I dropped by my local mechanic and they referred me to Safelite.
With just about an hour to spare before staring work for the day I zoomed over to see what they could do.
After a brief exam I was informed that the chip could be repaired and would likely be covered by insurance. We called me insurer on the spot, ensured the work would be covered and set an appointment for the following morning.
On the day of my appointment the place was bumpin’ so I went inside to inquire about parking (there are a few spots near their garage door entrance out back by the dumpster). I then checked in and the work was complete within an hour.
The waiting room featured magazines, a Keurig, and a television. Thankfully the staff and fellow patrons were friendly so we all chatted for most of the time I waited.
When my repair was complete I was pleased with not only how clean the windshield was but also the size and minimized appearance of the chip. I definitely recommend Safelite for your windshield repair needs.

I arranged to have my fiancé’s windshield replaced. When we arrived at the shop, they took one look at it and let us know we had a different windshield to replace than the one we incorrectly indicated over the phone (rain sensing vs. not). They made it a non-​issue and let us know they’d order the correct piece and have it in the next day, and that we could simply leave our car and it would be ready for us the next day. No problem!
They were communicative, honest, efficient, and did great work. Wanting anything more from a business would just be greedy.

On a related note: We got the wiper blades they offered and now a few months later, they’re still working great – better than the Bosch blades he had been getting!

Scheduled an appointment online and assumed they would show up when scheduled. I received a confirmation email the night before. When the window of time that they were scheduled to arrive had passed, I called. Their response was «we don’t have your glass and don’t know when it will get here.» When I asked why they didn’t call to let me know, they had no explanation. Long story to say that I ended up going to another company and saved $ 200.00. Not sure why safelight is still in business.

I had my F-​150 truck windshield fix just recently at the shop in Boulder and I was very impressed with the service, the quality and the phone and front desk customer service!!! They were very nice, helpful and friendly.

Please try another place, except for Gerber, they are bad too. Safelight replaced TWO windshields on two of my cars and after the replacement they had to make additional service repairs — the first time they broke the clips and windshield and the windshield made a scary noise while driving at high speeds — they had to come over again and fix that. Then on the second car they broke the washer system on the car and had to come back and fix that. If you use them, make sure you test everything that can go wrong with a widshield replacement — EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

After speaking with Amber (who stated she’d love to help us), we were told the same thing that I stated originally.
Again, terrible customer service and extremely poor confidence in the product if they can’t install a windshield correctly and then refuse to correct the problem.

Had originally scheduled for replacement at my house, but the field tech advised to take it into the shop because of some potential issues with rust. He didn’t want to take the chance on removing the windshield, with the possibility of not being able to put the new one back in. I took it to the shop in town the next day (they worked to squeeze me in) and they were able to complete the work by the end of the day, no problem. However, when I picked up my car, none of the other windows had been cleaned, as advertised, the carpets had not been vacuumed, as advertised, and to top it off there was a water bottle with several inches of ‘chew-​spit’ waiting for me in the cup holder. Beyond gross. Yuck.

Stopped by with no appt. They re-​attached my rear view mirror on the spot at no charge. It doesn’t get better than that. I suppose I could have said they were responsible, but they had installed the mirror on a replacement windshield 14 yrs ago.

I was driving up to the mountains to see my family for Thanksgiving, and like many a rock flew up and hit the center of my windshield leaving a quarter-​sized starburst chip. I called Safelight today around 2 and told them what had happened, and the scheduled me an appointment for 4pm. The man on the phone was extremely nice and helpful and even called me back to make sure my insurance would cover the cost. When I arrived Mike helped me and was very hospitable and a delight to be around, they offered me free beverages and wifi and helped me through some insurance confusion. I was treated with respect and the fix was done in 15 minutes. I am very impressed with their service and will definitely be back again.

Fast superb service. I can’t say enough of the fantastic service we received from the people at this location. We were from out of town and received a chip in our windshield. We pulled in 30 min. til their closing time and drove away with a repaired windshield 15 min. later. They saved us a lot of money.

Vandalism is a nasty thing. The repairs are time consuming and stressful. My car was damaged on a Friday night, a beer bottle having been pitched through the tailgate window with enough force to shoot through the vehicle and to land on the front dash in many pieces, shattered glass everywhere. The beer bottle shards tore the finish on driver’s door panel and dash, though luckily the window safety glass was merely annoying to clean.
Safelite has an 800 # to schedule repairs and though the local office is closed on the weekends, there was actually someone there doing some prescheduled minor repairs. Since I have no garage and bad weather was coming, the phone staff sent me over to have the vehicle wrapped for protection and did enough vacuuming to make it safe. They were able to locate an OEM replacement heated glass to be delivered to Boulder and installed on Monday. The same worker who did the wrap up and vacuum on Saturday, did the mobile install on Monday. He was such a pleasant and diligent worker. The window looks good and seems to heat properly which I need in the winter for snow melt.
I would give this place 5 stars if they had longer hours or a bigger shop and a local phone contact. They are so busy that they cannot accommodate the number of customers needing work and had no shop install times available for most of a week. Mobile work in my neighborhood is difficult and I would have preferred a shop install. The install would have to have been postponed had the rain/​snow gotten here before the car was repaired since they cannot work outside if wet. Also, since the nature of their business is generally emergency based, like other emergency services, maintaining a staff on the weekends would be helpful to the community. They merged with the other major glass provider in Boulder that I had used in the past and now the one facility is not big enough.
Since I had insurance, the paperwork was handled by my company and the 800# staff and with only one small delaying glitch, went fine.

Had a chip that I wanted to get taken care of before a major snowstorm. I was told (by their central dispatch?) to stop by without the need for an appointment. I showed up and realized that they were completely booked (others in a similar situation). While they were apologetic at first, Micheal A. took a look at it the chip, and decided to help me out amidst their swamped day! Much appreciated — since it certainly saved me a windshield. For their customer service, attitude and flexibility — I give them high ratings!

I had a windshield replaced here while on vacation. Scheduling along the paperwork went very well. The price was competitive. The install was fine except that the trim both around the windshield and under the windshield cowl were not installed properly. i was able to remedy it by removing and reinstalling both pieces after the fact. Otherwise everything went well. At the end of the day I wish I could give a better review but my experience was average.
