Indian Peaks Auto

We’ve been using Indian Peaks for 5+ years for both our used VWs. They are no nonsense guys who do really good work (they are specialists on Audi, VW, Saab and now Subies too) and will work with you if you’ve got multiple problems but can’t afford them done all at once. They tell it to me straight… what should be done now, what can wait, etc.
Once, I had my Passat TDi detailed just up the road, and as I left the detail shop, the STOP! ENGINE COOLANT LOW message came on the dash with a loud dinging noise. It was 5:15 pm on a Friday and I was freaked out. I needed my car that weekend as I had tons of friends and family in for a family wedding and needed to drive to the airport that night to get some more of them. I called Indian Peaks and they said to head over right away. They took a look and decided to just put in some coolant, at no charge, and said to come back the following week to make sure it didn’t have a leak. Well, the message never came back on, but I went back and they found no leaking, phew! Seems when my car is parked with the nose angled down, it fools the coolant tank into thinking it’s low. Good to know.
IP is a little more costly than some other shops around, but only by a couple — $ 5 bucks on the service end. They have never complained when I’ve brought in my own parts tho, or charged me extra just ’cause I did.
Only once did they misdiagnose an issue, or rather failed to diagnose it. So, I did me some serious research on the
website and finally found some others who knew what it was. Went back in the week and had it fixed. No more issue.
I’ve been to a few other shops, but I keep coming back here. I just trust them more than the others. They know my cars well. Now, it’s time to take it back for a spring once over, and likely a little more work. I hate having to shell out the money, but I don’t have the tools, lift, time, or strength to do what I take it to them for.

We’ve been taking our three used VW’s to Indian Peaks for years and I can tell you they are the best!
I don’t know much about cars so the thing I hate most about bringing my cars into have them serviced is that I never really know if the services being prescribed are necessary. It gives me great peace of mind knowing I won’t be oversold at Indian Peaks.
They are an honest and talented group with years of experience (yes, they are getting old). You can’t go wrong taking your car to Indian Peaks.

You can’t go wrong with this shop! Jackson was thorough and helpful. My VW Jetta TDI is going strong at 80k+ miles and I plan to keep my car in top shape serviced by Indian Peaks Auto for many years to come.

These guys have been taking care of my VWs since I’ve had them. They do a great job at reasonable prices. They deserve more than just brownies!
The best experience I had with them was 2 days before my older daughter’s wedding. I had taken my cars to have them detailed up the road. On the way home, my Passat’s dash put out a warning: STOP NOW! COOLANT LOW! I was only a mile from the Indian Peaks, but it was also after 5 pm by a couple minutes so I wasn’t sure they were still open. I panicked as I had to drive to the airport in Denver right away to pick up family, but I stopped and called them on my cell and they said to come on over. So, in I went and they immediately filled it up with coolant and said to come back on Monday. If the light came on again, I was to add more coolant, shown where to put it, and told to allow the engine to cool off first though, and then I was handed the bottle to take with me. When I asked how much, I was told No Charge. The light never came back on, but I still went back on Monday. They had no idea why the light came on. No leak was found anywhere and still they didn’t charge me.
When my younger daughter took her Jetta away to school I was concerned she wouldn’t find a good repair shop. The only VW repair shop in her town that I could find online was the dealer, which I’m not a big fan of. I happen to be visiting her when I saw the oil light come on. I drove it to another shop that was close to her school and found they did work on them, but since I didn’t have the records with me for what had been done in the last 6 months, I had to call Jackson at Indian Peaks to bring these other guys up to speed. Then I went outside and talked to him about what fair pricing would be for an oil change and filters, just to make sure I didn’t get ripped off because this other shop wanted to charge 25% more than what I had remembered paying at Indian Peaks. When I mentioned the prices I normally pay to this shop, they agreed to charge the same thing. I know it’s another town and all, but honestly, there’s no reason to pay 25% more when the dealership in only 5 miles away. It’s not like they have to overnight parts or anything.

Took my ’99 Jetta here after several recommendations. I was really impressed with their efficiency — they had diagnosed the problem (after my vague description of a «grinding sound») and already completed the oil change about an hour after I dropped it off. The whole fix was done by noon, less than 4 hours after I left the car there.
There are clearly other issues with my car (not safety issues) that they could have tried to get me to fix, but they made no mention of them. I really appreciated that they didn’t try to sell me on more than I needed (or asked for).
I’ll definitely be going back here, and telling my friends about this place.
The only issue I had was finding the place — but now I know its right next to the Avery tap room. Bonus!

Good bunch of guys — straightforward, thorough, and personable. The hourly technician rate is a little higher than I expected, but they are specialists after all. They were able to diagnose an issue on my wife’s Passat that was undiagnosable by the local dealership as well as other mechanics. I would definitely go back, and plan to for regular future maintenance.

I’ve had these guys work on several of our cars in the last ten years (Audis, SAABs). They are very competent, timely, honest and friendly. Jackson and his team are really great service providers. It’s nice to know there are people like these guys out there! They’ve fixed many a nasty problem. I’ve never had a ‘partial fix’ or ‘ooops, how did THAT new problem crop up after I went to the garage for something else??’ Great advisors too on whether to repair things. They’ve waived us off from a few items in the past and saved us money. Thanks guys! I’m giving them a five because it’s been ten years of great work.

These guys are so good! They know their stuff, are quick and they communicate (what a concept)! After running out of our warranty, we have been taking our A4 to Indian Peaks and Jackson and the staff are the real deal. They don’t over charge and are very quick and thorough. I’ve even called b/​c my engine light is on and Jackson has been able to problem solve over the phone to save me a trip in! What mechanic does that?!
We will always go here with our German-​engineered cars and will recommend to others whenever I can!

I LOVE this shop. I want to make them cookies and take them lemonade… weird.
A of all, they do a great job. Really.
B, they go above and beyond. I had to have a coolant flange fixed (they explained it all to me… whoa…) and they also took the time to grease my door hinge and fix my bumper after one too many bump ups on a curb. Bonus. I almost didn’t think it was my car.
3. Fairest price in town. It’s not fancy, like Gebhardt (possibly oldest leather couch known to man lives in their waiting room) and that means the overhead isn’t passed on to you! Jackson and the crew give great estimates and offer alternate solutions.
