Established in 1981.

Dana and Judi both graduated from Fairview High School and then continued on to graduate from CU Boulder. Dana has always worked on cars as he grew up and wanted to start a career in the automotive industry. Judi has been around cars all of her life and enjoys the customer service and business side of Haglin Automotive. We started in a one bay shop and have grown into a 12 bay facility with 4 certified technicians. Dana and Judi also have supported the community by donating a car every semester to Jusice High for the top achiever and have several top shop awards nation wide. We believe in helping all of our customers with their car needs as well as being leaders in our community as well as our improving our industry. We just received the Motor Age Magazine’s «Top 10 Shop» Award and the ATI Top 12 Shop Award for 2012 as well as a Humanitarian of the Year, Top 6 Awarded by Automotive Training Institiute

Over the many years that we have been in business we believe in doing what is right every time, treating you like family. I brought my van in to Haglin for a transmission that was going out. Although the repair took much longer than expected, due to variations in used parts (this was a used transmission they installed believe it or not), they perservered and got the job done.
They gave me a loaner vehicle for the entire duration of the repair, kept me up to date on progress, and gave me really awesome price. The van is still running great after a couple of months.

Horrible experience.
–I was told that I would get a phone call during the day with an estimate. I called an hour before end of day to see what was up and told I would get a phone call back, I never did.
–I decided to just take my car back because the guy on the phone was rude and at that point I didnt want to give them my business
–I received my car back with 2 missing hub caps! They said I brought it in like that, but I 100% did not. Shady.
–They also sent me off with missing lug nuts which holds the tires in place. Dangerous.
–I am praying that nothing else is missing that I can actually see.

This place changed my car transmission less than a year ago for a used one because according to them «it was the only choice» since there were no new transmissions for my car type. I am a woman who has no clue about cars and told them I had no time to shop around since I was going to school full time and working part time, thinking they will be honest but instead took advantage of this. They gave me only a 3 moth guarantee, and now the transmission they put on my car BROKE DOWN while driving (after more or less 8 months). I took my car to another mechanic who is offering to put a remanufactured or a brand new transmission and is giving me a 3 year warranty (so, there were actually better options for only $ 400 more). I wish I would have taken the car somewhere else instead of trusting Haglin Automotive.

Baffled by the positive reviews. Was ripped off more than once. Given estimates that were hundreds of dollars higher than second and third opinions from other mechanics. Was told brakes need to be done ASAP, took it somewhere else and was told brakes were in great condition. Dishonest. Beware!

Decided to take my car here after reading so many great reviews. The customer service is excellent here. They are very good at explaining what is going on with your car in a way that anyone will understand (even people who know nothing about cars, like me), as well as provide information how how to prevent the same problems in the future. When they find things that need to be fixed, they let you know about the problem, what it will take to fix it, and in how long it should be taken care of. They aren’t pushy but want you to know what’s going on with your car. I will continue to bring my car here!

They can do a good oil change, but make sure any complimentary «fixes» they do are with your consent. They changed something in our exhaust that we needed untouched until we could pay for a new part, and then made us feel like we didn’t know what we were talking about. Expect a good oil change, not good customer service.

Jay, Rachael and the team are wonderful. I have taken my car in a few times and they always go the extra mile. Today was no exception, they opened and fixed my car on their day off. They stick to their word and go the extra mile. So very much recommended. As a boulder native, I would only suggest them on service, price and workmanship. They are awesome.

My Nissan broke down about two years ago; I had it towed to Haglin and they worked between the dealer, my warranty, and me to get me the best possible deal for a new transmission and radiator. The work was done quickly and Jay at Haglin kept me in the loop throughout the whole process. Dealing with my warranty was a huge pain but Jay did most of the work for me. I was given a loaner car for the time my car was in the shop. I have brought my car here to replace my tires (and was given a great deal) as well as other minor servicing.
I cannot recommend Haglin high enough, whether it be for small or large fixes. Auto shops aren’t something I typically would review or think highly of but Jay & Haglin have changed this.

This shop does great, honest, competent work! As a person who works on my own cars, I see the short cuts and mistakes that mechanics make from time to time. I have found stripped oil plugs to missing bolts in my car from other mechanic shops.
Haglin takes the time to do the job right! And as a person who insists on the job being done correctly (and knows because I work on my own cars), I go to Haglin for the service on my cars.
Haglin sends reminders for services due by e-​mail and text and every time I bring my cars in they do a full vehicle inspection. For people who do not understand car work and do little more than fill up gas and drive — this service is critical to you!

As a follow up to my previous review: I involved Haglin in my double charge issue by the outside company that sells their «special offer» deal. I received a call immediately from Haglin’s service manager and he was ready and willing to help in any way. I dealt directly with the outside company — and I was able to get credit on my card for the double charge. My only remaining concern is that the charges were a month apart — not attributable to a batching error over a 48 hour period as I was told… I’m still a little leery that my credit card info is out there and plan to diligently check my balance as often as possible.

On a roadtrip from one coast to another, our 1974 Chevy bus got a hole in the brake line, and some brake fluid leakage. Haglin had our bus for about two days total, and managed to fix approximately nothing within an adequate time period. Once they’d fixed the brake line and returned the bus, we realized they hadn’t addressed the issue of the leaking fluid at all. Back we go. When FINALLY the right part was ordered (after one failed attempt), we realized a pane of glass had been shattered on the newly restored bus — and no one fessed up to it.
Finally, we are on the road again (it’s been About an hour since leaving Haglin), and the smell of burning rubber (you guessed it: thd brakes!) is overpowering. Between the multiple failed attempts at fixing a simple problem, refusing to fess up (or pay for) shattered glass, and now Further problems after a rather large bill — this is a place to avoid. The one saving grace (and the reason this place gets two stars rather than one) is that the mechanic’s wife is very sweet. Regardless: avoid!

I’ve brought my car in to Haglin a few times and I’ve had a great experience each time.
I definitely feel like there are cheaper places out there, but I honestly think the prices are fair when you factor in their excellent customer service, quality of work, and high integrity.
Whether it’s for an oil change or a bad battery or anything else I feel comfortable and happy going to Haglin and that goes a long way for me.

Haglin is good for super easy maintenance like oil changes BUT DONT GO HERE FOR MAJOR REPAIRS.
They will nickel and dime you to death. I’ve been there multiple times for my EuroVan, and the last repair they quoted around $ 900 and days later the bill was $ 3200. I showed the paperwork to a reputable VW mechanic in Boulder and he said I got so ripped off.
The free chips and soda in the lobby don’t make up for overly priced repairs.

The ball bearing on my rear wheel recently started making some terrible noise and didn’t spin freely, so I knew that I needed to get it replaced. I was going to do it myself, but through a comedy of errors, I ended up buying the wrong part and not having the right tool to remove the bearing, so I ended up calling Haglin. I told them what I thought was wrong (I might have conveniently omitted the part about trying and failing to replace it myself) and made an appointment.
I brought my car in and they called me back in a few hours and said that they’d confirmed that I needed the bearing replaced (so it turns out I’m not completely clueless!) They gave me a quote which sounded fair and we discussed a few other things about the vehicle as well. They did try to upsell me on some other routine maintenance (my check engine light is on, my oil needs to replaced soon and my brake pads are getting close to needing replaced) but I declined. I never felt pressured to get this other service and appreciated that they offered to take a look.
By the end of the day, my car was fixed and I picked it up. The terrible noise is gone, and now I get to be paranoid about all of the other engine noises that were being drowned out before. They even called me back a few days later to make sure that everything was good and to thank me.

Just had a great experience in getting my wife’s Lexus serviced at Haglin Automotive. We were impressed by the courteous treatment and the service. Will be going back next time we need service.
