Best Western Plus Boulder Inn

Stayed here on a business trip. Rooms are big, very clean, but dated. Very quiet and the breakfast was very good. All in all, a very good value — I will stay here again.

I’m actually in my room 107 right now fuming! Both nights have been terrible here. SO LOUD! You can hear EVERYTHING! I’m pretty sure there is construction going on directly on top of us. I called about it yesterday and Mitch said she would look into it and I never heard back. I mean … It’s bad!!! We wanted to get a good nights rest lastnight due to our flight leaving early. We took it easy, saw a movie and were in bed by 11. I got ZERO sleep. SO MUCH NOISE!!! On a better note, the room is big and clean but Plugs don’t work and lighting is bad for applying makeup. Location is okay, you do need a car to get around. Nothing is within walking distance. I guess, if you stay here … Avoid the first floor! $ 312 blown on this place. So annoyed!

What a condescending reply Ari. If you know how to run a successful operation you would take into consideration guest that are staying in the room below the one you are remodeling. Your not impressing anyone by quoting your million dollar remodel budget multiple times throughout this thread. The Proper thing to do would be to notify your guest that construction would be taking place above them and put them in another room or don’t take the reservation. Regardless of whether or not we were «scientist» or on a «business trip» 9am construction is too early without a fair warning of what I’m going to wake up to when I’m on vacation.
As for your staff calling to check on us when they went upstairs that is simply a lie. We were in the room the entire evening watching the Golden Globes enjoying Chinese Takeout and nobody called, but since some of the plugs in the room didn’t work it wouldn’t surprise me that the incoming calls on the phone may not work either. We truly were trying to enjoy and REST on this vacation. If there wasn’t construction above us that evening, the walls are just too thin because I could hear ALOT going on up there. I mean ALOT!!! If that’s what you got for a 1.6 million dollar remodel, check your contractors Ari, they are apparently as dishonest as you. When i went to the front desk the morning we checked out they said «we would be upset too and completely understand». Also, I was woken up at 8:30am NOT 9:21. But whatever… Sounds like you know it all! Good for you. After reading your replies to all of the other unhappy customers, it’s very easy to see that it’s «everyone else’s problem and never yours». Maybe try some humility and look into being humble … Just once. The staff was fine. But you… What a joke! Take some lessons on customer service, you could use it.

Have stayed here twice over a six month period. Clean modern rooms, quiet at night. Breakfast is pretty good for a hotel — eggs, bacon, potatoes, bagels/​bread/​English muffins, decent fruit, berries, juices, etc. Fancy coffee machine which was broken on my second stay, but worked on the first (drip coffee was still provided).
They even have free electric car charging for Tesla and other electric cars. Bueno.

This hotel is nothing special, but not too bad. I have not stayed in a BW in years, but skiing with kids warranted two less expensive rooms.
The pool is only an outdoor pool. The hot tub is barely a warm tub and you have to go to the front desk to get the stupid towels just for the hot tub area. The hot tub is halfway tiled (?).
The breakfast is decent and plentiful. Gym is adequate.
Staff is very nice and will do what they can to make you happy.

I had no major issues with my stay. I wanted to be close to CU for the football game, and it was just across the street. Hotel location is also close to plenty of touristy spots, including Pearl Street. My family was staying for one night before hooking up with relatives, and the B.W. PLUS was totally fine, I’d definitely stay here again.
The rooms were clean, we had two comfortable queen beds, FREE wifi, a flat screen television, a mini fridge, and good water pressure — toilet was a monster when you flushed.
The highlight was the complimentary breakfast which was much better than a casual continental breakfast, it was a legit meal. You more than get what you pay for here.
Only negative, they are erecting a building next door, and they start at 7am — HELLO AND GOOD MORNING! If not for the construction, my review could have been higher.

The current construction right next door is extremely noisy and begins very early n the morning. Not for late sleepers!
The free breakfast is a nice and plentiful.
The location is difficult to get to but is central to town which is nice.

Hotel positives: free internet, good coffee selection, and complimentary breakfast.
Hotel negatives: motel style not hotel style, thin walls VERY noisy, far from downtown not walkable, and not enough towels or pillows!

We were pleased with our recent stay at this hotel. You can tell it is an older property, but they have done a good job keeping it updated. We had a great view of the mountains. We were there for 2 nights and it was quiet. A little hard to find, but GPS gets you there.

I enjoyed my stay at this Best Western in Boulder. The room was a little higher of a quality than their regular hotels. The bed was very comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Each room had a private patio area or a balcony depending on the floor. I stayed for an entire week at the hotel and was in room 250, which had an amazing view of the mountains. Housekeeping was extremely friendly and the front desk was very helpful. I will definitely be staying here again.

Remodelled room with tasteful photo art. Convenient ground floor room when travelling with dog. Room had a good coffee maker and bathroom supplies were a nice touch. Great location near bike/​walking path if you like to get out & about and pretty quiet considering an overpass is nearby. Tasty breakfast with a good selection of food. My only negative is we thought it a bit on the pricey side — but hey we loved Boulder!

About an hour after leaving my hotel room I remembered that I had forgotten to pack up my speaker. After looking through my luggage several times, I called the staff to let them know. A few days passed and I was finally put in contact with the assistant manager in charge of lost and found.
Rather then returning my property to me, the assistant manager accused me of fabricating the whole story.
I feel that the staff was very dishonest with me and I would not feel comfortable booking another night here.

I did not stay at this hotel; I am writing a review about their customer service when there was a mistake in our reservation.
I arrived with my partner late in the evening at this hotel after attending a concert and tried to check in. The front desk was unable to find our reservation. When I provided the reservation number they told me I had mistakenly reserved the room for the prior week. I saw that they were right and was very disappointed. They told me I already would have been charged for the reservation as a «no show» and that they were unable to apply any of the amount I had already paid (to not stay there) toward a room that evening. They asked me to pay an even higher rate to stay there that night, on top of the money I had already paid. I was disappointed that they had not called or contacted me when the reservation was initially «missed» and even more disappointed that they refused to give me a credit of any kind toward a room that night – they didn’t offer us a thing. We live in Colorado so we opted to drive a ways home that night rather than pay double, but it was a pain as we were celebrating my partner’s birthday and had already paid to board our dogs for the evening, so we lost money and it ruined our evening.
I wrote an email to the management afterwards asking if there was any way to get any part of the money we paid back, or to get any kind of credit toward a future stay, since I had made an honest mistake by putting the wrong date in when I booked online. I got a short email back stating that I should have checked the confirmation that was emailed to me more carefully and that no compensation could be offered.
I stay overnight in Boulder from time to time and won’t be staying at this hotel again. It’s a shame that the management couldn’t find some value in making a potential future customer happy by offering something – even just a sincere apology and a free upgrade next time we come or a $ 20 credit at the hotel would be better than nothing. It was definitely my mistake, but I doubt the hotel lost money as the night I mistakenly reserved was in the middle of the week, and even a small compensation would have gone a long way.

Husband booked this for a little stop in Boulder for our weekend getaway.
I am going to be the uppity skank and tell you that I scoffed when I saw that he got me a motel. But then I started hating myself for judging a book by its cover because HELLO REMODEL. The lobby is nicer than some Raddisons, Ramadas, Marriotts, etc. In comparison, it is downright SWANK.
Our room is so freaking nice. I actually thought husband lied about how much he paid. Huge, super comfortable beds — none of that lumpy mess. The bathroom is super clean and, most importantly, there is S-​P-​A-​C-​E in the room. We were so happy to see floor space that we just sort of exploded and took every open carpet we could find. It was heavenly.
The only negative thing we found was that the hallway to our room smelled like dirty diapers. I’m not sure if this is the hotel’s problem or if there was a baby that produced nuclear ready shit. I’m going with the latter because they proved to be really clean in other aspects.

After reading a few of these reviews I’m shocked, I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus. The service staff was friendly and helpful and the amenities were all clean and seemed to be new.
The beds here were probably my favorite part, I’ve never slept on a bed so comfortable. The room was clean and had enough pillows and towels to keep me happy.

We stayed here while my son auditioned at UC. It is a VERY convenient location. It is right off of 36 and near many restaurants. (If you go north up 36, you can get to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, about an hour drive). It is within walking distance to campus. You simply walk down the sidewalk about ¼ mile and through the tunnel under 36 and there you are on campus.
The staff was very nice and friendly.
The room was nice, there is a sliding door that opens up onto a little balcony, you could open it up and get that fresh mountain air in the room.
The beds and pillows were very comfortable, we both slept well.
The décor is very nice, both the rooms and the lobby.
The free breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit, a waffle maker, variety of breads, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, yogurt, juices, etc.
The pool looked nice, although it was winter and closed.
I didn’t get to try the hot tub.
Another reviewer said the hotel let a student practice music in a conference room.
I think this is a wonderful gesture by the hotel.
I’m not sure about the one reviewer saying there is no elevator. There is an elevator, it’s in the back and we used it all the time.
If my son ends up going to UC, this is definitely where we would stay for visits!

Nice large and spacious room. It looks like the whole property has been recently given a facelift. Check in was fast and easy with friendly staff. Room and property are clean. A few things can be improved buy hey — its a best western, not a Hilton! Good value for a good room. Would stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The pictures posted here are accurate and the hotel overall is one of the nicest I’ve stayed at. Considering all my hotels are booked on a travel website to get the best rate, this is the best deal I’ve gotten. The price was reasonable and the staff was very friendly.
The room was amazing, very comfortable, no complaints. There was everything we needed plus a balcony.
We used the hot tub which was nice and also used the hotel bicycles. The idea was great, but the bikes were not in such great shape.
The breakfast was great too. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for the night and found it to be a wonderful stay. The beds were comfortable (with Plenty of pillows), the room was very spacious, the air was perfect, and we enjoyed some time in the large community hot tub. We felt the price and stay were spot on and would stay again. We even got a free breakfast in the morning which was nice. Thank you to the front desk for having a wine key to share– we completely forgot ours! Room 223 we will stay again!

Who in the world is giving this four stars? This is a $ 50-​$ 200/​night MOTEL. There is NO ELEVATOR.
If I was paying double digits I could be more forgiving. The fitness center is better than average, but not great. The front desk area is nice. The air conditioning is in the ceiling not the window.
But that’s why it gets two stars instead of one. This is like a Rodeway Inn but with the doors and halls on the inside. And Rodeway has an elevator!

Check-​out misunderstanding. The reservation was made through my company so I misunderstood the check-​out arrangement and somehow missed apparently the myriad of reminders they say are everywhere. This is on me.
What upsets me is that they kept blaming me and chastising me. Like, I get it. It was my mistake!!! Tell me how can I make this better for your establishment? Other than my sincere apologies, what else do want? They didn’t ask for anything, instead, it was adult shaming at it’s best. Ugg! Where’s the empathy?
It was actually very weird. Usually an establishment doesn’t continue an attitude when you take responsibility and tell them you feel embarrassed, which I am/​was. One star.
Oh and by the way, most places put your receipt under the door at checkout day with the checkout time printed, right? Not here. I had to specifically request my receipt while straightening up/​going through this embarrassing exercise. Then on my way out I saw one of the staff members, who was part of this discussion, doing what looked like checking to make sure the patio doors were locked on the first floor rooms, one of which had been my room. This made me feel like they thought I was a shady character indeed. I mean what in all my apologizing and taking responsibility would make anyone ever think I’d want to come back for any reason much less on the sly! Geesh.
This is super sadness because the bed was very comfortable and I loved Boulder. Sigh.
