History

Established in 1998.

Laura Holloway and Patrick Hyde opened Pivot Communication in 1998 (formerly Holloway & Hyde Communications). Both had led corporate communication departments and worked in public relations and design agencies. The company initially focused on health care, particularly in the area of aging services. The firm grew quickly and expanded to cover a variety of practice areas, including criminal justice, technology and alternative transportation, among others.

Today, our staff has expanded to include in-​house expertise in graphic design and social media strategies. Pivot’s goal remains to work with organizations and individuals that influence positive change, and help these organizations and individuals to communicate their capabilities.
