AAA Colorado – Boulder Store

I’ve been a member of AAA since the 1980s, later adding my wife to my membership. Although I have used other AAA services on rare occasions, the primary objective was and remains roadside assistance: That is why I joined. Even so, in all those years we’ve only used this feature maybe a dozen times — it’s rare, but when you need help, it’s great to know help is just a call away. So imagine my temperament a few weeks back when I had to place my call 4 separate times and wait a total of about 4 hours just to have AAA send someone to give me a jump start! On a couple of those calls I was given time estimates; once I was told to expect the service truck to arrive in 20 minutes, the other in 40 minutes… yet it took hours. During one of my calls — I think it was #2 or #3 — I was told my initial service call had «inadvertently» been cancelled! Obviously, I had the representative re-​enter my service call. Imagine if I’d been even MORE patient and simply waited! How long would it have taken then?
In all cases, the individuals on the phone were well-​mannered and pleasant (if not entirely accurate, given the time estimates). But I don’t call just to chat, I call because I need roadside assistance, and as everyone knows, when someone needs roadside assistance they don’t want to wait multiple hours or have to place multiple calls for said assistance!
Why am I paying good money for this kind of service? There are many more options now than there were in the ‘80s… should I terminate my membership when I receive the renewal form in a month or two?

I had a terrific experience at the AAA Colorado store. I went in to get my Passport Photo taken to renew my passport, which is a very nice service offered for only $ 7, and the gal who assisted me was wonderful. I did not have to wait at all, and the quality of the Passport Photo was very good.
The store is filled with all the info (maps, travel info, accessories) that I expected and more!

I always find what I need and the friendly staff always seems to have information that is very insightful and helps me get more out of their resources.

Agent was a great help in setting up a complicated domestic and international trip for this coming summer. This included waiting and watching for a major international flight’s cost to go down and catching it when it did. In addition, we were able to get our international driver’s licenses while we were there which was a major convenience. Overall, a very positive experience and we will definitely use AAA again for our travel.

I can’t say enough good about the help I received at Boulder AAA. Not only did several of the staff assist in trying to help me locate what I was looking for, one went out of her way to track down a AAA road side assistance driver who had helped me, contact him, and call me back the next day with information on a product he had recommended! Stellar service, friendly staff, by far the best experience I’ve had doing business with any company in years!

On the day I visited the office there was only one person helping customers and about 4 people. It took about 20 minutes to help the people at the front. There were other staff, but they did not come to help. I was helped after 30 minutes of waiting, then she could not check me out. I still had to wait for the cashier. The staff are friendly, but need more help, especially during the summer months.

I was on a hunt for a travel item, tried here to no avail. But that was the case all over town so I can’t fault them. I am a AAA member and have used their services for years and they have been fine.
