As of June of 2009 we no longer have a studio location in downtown Boston. We currently specialize in elegant, formal portraiture in the comfort of your home or office. Some of the services we offer include personal portraits, family portraits, children’s portraits, bridal portraits, executive & business portraiture, and high school senior portraits.

Established in 1868.
The business was established in 1868 when David Bachrach famously snapped the only existing photograph of the Gettysburg address. Bachrach Inc. has been continuously operated by members of the Bachrach family. Today it is currently owned by Robert Bachrach. His impressive portfolio includes portraits of Leonard Bernstein, John Cage, John Williams, Colin Powell, Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, Riccardo Muti, Jean Pierre Rampal, Meryl Streep, Dizzy Gillespie, John Kenneth Galbraith, Tom Brokaw, William Weld, Shannon O’Brien, Kerry Healey, Evelyn Murphy, Gloria Larson, Mitt Romney, Joseph Moakley and Martha Coakley.

Robert Bachrach is the fourth-generation owner and president of Bachrach photographers. After earning a B.A. in Music from Carleton College, he joined the firm in 1978.
