Love the clothes but not worth the obnoxious music and overbearing cologne. The store is laid out like a Ponzi scheme, and the service sucks. I’d like to overturn the tables and bounce out of here empty handed. But damnit I like the clothes!

This place is the worst managed retail operation I have ever attended. Tons of employees wearing personal attire and not reaching out so everyone is running around getting wanting to buy with little confusing help. The cashier line super busy but the entire store super empty!!! What a bad idea to drop by to get a change of clothes on my way back to LA while visiting Boston(great city).

The service here is very slow and bad. The cashiers are rude when they knew I came here for a return. I mean, really? I don’t come here for looking at your miserable face, girl.

I wrote this review a year ago– wow, time flies! I’ve shopped at Abercrombies all over the US– from CA to FL and back to MA. They’re all relatively the same. They hire a bunch of people they consider«good-looking» and pay them to act like the stereotypical movie jocks. My most recent experience here prompted this review to have one less star than I would have otherwise given. I made a purchase online as I prefer not to have my hearing temporarily impaired, and needed to return the tank I ordered. The color was hideous when I received it. I didn’t even take it out of the plastic. A manager was called(normal protocol). The manager, a blonde female, comes up takes the shirt out of the plastic, inspects it to see if there are holes where the censor used to be and tells the«model»(sales associate) to proceed with checking me out. I was very insulted and couldn’t believe that she insinuated that I didn’t purchase the top despite the fact that I had my PAYPAL account information clearly marked on my ONLINE packaging/return slip! The most annoying part– I used to work at this very location. I see not a thing has changed, just a rotation of management. PROS: huge store(three floors), wide selection, elevator access for disabled CONS: 9 registers, typically only 3 are used at any given time, despite the length of the line, they’d rather leave models hanging around than working. They only use registers on the 2nd floor, never the 3rd and there aren’t any on the 1st floor.

I get in the door at A&F because the only, the one and only perfume I have been wearing since I was 16, is «8.» In fact, if they ever discontinue it, I would have no reason to go into the store. As to this location: as a teenager, I could handle the dark/loud atmosphere. However, I’m 27 now. It’s SO dark and impossible to see the actual CLOTHES(or even where you’re going!) The last time I was in there, I had to have my boyfriend use the flashlight on his phone so I can inspect the clothes. That’s ridiculous! And the music? Oh my GOD! I get dizzy just thinking about it. It’s too bad. As to the staff: hit or miss. I find the greeters to be, you got it, very friendly. However, at check out, the staff seem too busy flirting with each other to care about the person dropping green. I like their style… but they really need to rethink this whole«BLINDDEAFSNOB!» strategy.

A&F sells a specific type of clothing. If you don’t like it, don’t go there! I for one think that the Abercrombie in Fanueil Hall is great: lots of floors so it’s never too crowded, lots of sale items, and their staff is even pretty helpful in comparison to some of their other stores. Although the music in here can be unbearably loud and the cologne/perfume mercilessly clings on to you even after you leave, this is definitely the A&F to go to if you find yourself trying to decide which Abercrombie in Boston to shop at.

i swear i came in here with a friend! not on my own free will! and why would i come in here at all? $ 70 for the SMALLEST piece of fabric i have ever seen. it wasn’t even a shirt. the cheapest pair of jeans for around $ 70 too. clearance jeans for $ 40? give me a break! they made me look fat too when i tried them on. nothing here is worth a fraction for what they sell it for. also, the music is so loud… SOLOUD! i couldn’t believe it. it’s not a club people! it’s a store.

Wow, feels like the miniature A&F in NYC!!! The layout of the store is a bit confusing… it’s like a 3 level of clubbing experience, but no drinks… {{sad face}} The thump-thump-thumps make you wanna bust out out your grooves, but then again, there’re moms shopping for their daughters and guys(hopefully not) checking you out… {{sigh}} Good place to get jeans b/c they’re quite durable. Better place, if it’s on sale. Don’t get the T-shirts with the logo, unless you’re a teeny-bopper.

Just when you thought Fanueil Hall couldn’t get any more awesome along comes Abercrombie. You can hear the thumpa-thumpa over the buskers, and when the wind blows just right you can smell the cologne over at Quincy Market. The clothes are what you expect: stripey, faded, «worn in», overpriced. It’s a shame to see historic spots hollowed out and filled in with more chain stores but here we are.
